Abstract

The purposes of this research are : (1) To identify the role of extension on oil palm independent smallholder farmers; (2) To know empowerments level of the farmers (3) To analyse the relation between extension’s role and  empowerment of  the farmers in Village Sungai Buluh . This research was conducted in Village Sungai Buluh  sub-district Singinggi Hilir  Kuantan Singingi Regency. Research’s samples was determined  by purposive sampling methods by consideration that the location has active extension activities and has farmers group. The sample number are 60 the farmers. Validity and reliability analysis has been done on the measuring  instruments. Data’s analysis to acknowledge the first and second research purpose used Scale Likert’s summated Rating (SLR), whereas Spearman Rank Correlation was used to acknowl edge the third purpose of this research. The Result showed that: (1) Extension has been instrumental in the oil palm farming activity pattern is seen from the variable self-education, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, supervision, and monitoring and evaluation; (2) The level of empowerment of farmers as a whole has been powerless in empowering smallholders self pattern, consisting of variable human resources, productive economic and institutional power is in the category; (3) Relationship counseling role towards the empowerment of smallholders patterns that are in the self-help level is quite strong, powerful and significant.   Keywords: extension’s role, empowerments, independent smallholder farmers, palm oil

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the role of farmer group what is already run  in oil palm farm at Bukit Lingkar Village Batang Cenaku District Indragiri Hulu Regency.Method which used in this research was census method. Intake of sampel conducted by purposive sampling on the farmer group which active in oil palm farm with different year growth. Data analysis used likert scale. The result showed that the role of farmer group had good enough role seen from average value of the role equal to 2,99 (Enough Role) in oil palm farm activity at Bukit Lingkar Village. This condition seen from the role of farmer group as classroom learning place with score equal to 2,91 (Enough Role), cooperation place with score equal to 3,01 (Enough Role), and production unit place with score equal to 3,04 (Enough Role). Abstract

Local wisdom is one of the products of culture, local wisdom born of the need for values, norms and rules that serve as  model to ferform an action. Local wisdom is a cultural values taught by our ancestors to better appreciate nature and do not be greedy draining.the purpose of this study is to identify the local wisdom that there ever existed and that there is also present in the environment of rice farming. Analyzing the application of lokal wisdom in rice In Village Sungai Manau Subdistrict Kuantan Mudik. Know the strategy of maintaining the local in the cultivation of the rice crops. This study used survey method to determine the respondents use key informan and sample. Methods of sampling done snowball sampling.Samples takeken as many as eleven people. This research uses primary data and secondary data. Data have been obtained in the fileld were analyzed descriptively qualitative. To describe the identification of variable and variable application of lokal wisdom rice farmers used 5W+1H. While to analyze variables by maintaining lokal wisdom analysis SWOT. The results snowed that (1) Identify and (2) Application of lokal wisdom in rice cultivation amounted 66. (3) How to maintain local wisdom of cultivation in particular by addressing new or modern tehnology advances that can change the behavior of farmers who still use traditional as local wisdom is changed by using modern tools.       Key words:Localwisdom, identification, farmer.

Abstract

This research aims to know how the income of Agro Industry Cracker cow skin, and how much owest efficiency and added value of Agro Industry cracker cow skin. This research done on the efforts of Agro Industry cracker cow skin Kito Mamak City of Pekanbaru. This research conducted in March until 2016. The research carried out using the methods of the case study, research results can be summarized as follows: (1) The Total costs incurred by Cracker entrepreneurs cow skin Rp 108.702.944,00 per month. The acceptance of that obtained Rp 159.802.500,00 entrepreneurs per month. The Benefits of Rp 51.099.556,00 entrepreneurs per month, (2) Efficient business with the value of the R/C ratio of more than one of 1.47 means that every Rp1,00 costs incurred in the business of agro industry keruput cow skin gives the acceptance of 1.47 times from the costs. BEP analysis good entrepreneurs, at the time of producing entrepreneurs know of 98.20 and at the cost of Rp11.047.400,72. (3) added value of Rp 16.587,39 per kg, while the ratio of the value add cracker eating the skin of cattle is 40.21 yesterday percent.   Key Words: analysis, and agro-industry cracker cow skin.

Abstract

This research aims: identified social capital rubber farmers, identified the role of social capital on rubber farmers empowerment, identified the relationship between social capital and the role of social capital on rubber farmers empowerment. This research uses a purposive sampling method with respondents consist of 60 rubber farmers in Desa Kuntu. Data collection method in this research is primary data and secondary data. To determine the social capital and the role of social capital in this research using a quantitative method use a questionnaire in the form of Likert Scale. To analyze the relationship of social capital and the role of social capital uses Spearman rank correlation analysis. From the research data showed that social capital rubber farmers is high with a score 3.94 and the role of social capital to empowerment of farmers is high with a score 3.95. Based on the statistic results using Spearman's test can be showed that overall there is a strong enough relationship between the variables of the role of social capital with elements of social capital with a probability value (p < 0.05). Abstract

Indonesia is a agraris and most of the people derive their main income in agricultural .As for initial phase in agriculture at first by doing clearing land and end result up to the harvesting , village Huta Gurgur II is one of producing rice in sub-district silaen districtToba Samosir.As for system irrigation which there is sitem irrigation simple farmers only rely on water flowing from springs mountain , in daily life farmers to the cultivation plants rice farming always used traditional ways.Local knowledge done rice farmers rice fields in village Huta Gurgur II is to make si gabe ni taon namely be grateful for activities that we do run smoothly and we stay healthy .Farming rice farming is also intended for farmers to that it strengthens kinship ties between the village community Huta Gurgur II, farmers village Huta Gurgur II use seeds superior local nursery own by farmers and the term harvest farmers starting from seeding until by planting need the time 7-9 the new moon ready to harvesting.Researchers use a method of this interviewquestionnaire, the sampling method of kuisioner snowball with the number of respondents 9 people consisting of 1 ) the village head, 2 ) religious figures, 3 ) adat leaders, 4 ) the head of the farmers 5 ) farmers rice farming .The local wisdom that existed in the village Huta Gurgur II a total of 77 the local wisdom .The local wisdom which the ancients there is now no 25 the local wisdom the local wisdom and which the ancients there are and hitherto have done a total of 52 the local wisdom the local wisdom and now there is no.   Keyword: local wisdom, paddy plants, strategy local wisdom
