Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the antioxidant activity of eleven plants from 44 mixtures of traditional herbal ingredients using Diphenyl Pikrilhidrazil (DPPH) reagent. The extract used was maceration ethanol extract which was then tested for quantitative antioxidant activity by DPPH reagent using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 516 nm with vitamin C as a positive control. The results of determining antioxidant activity were obtained from the calculation of inhibition concentration (IC50). IC50 value of Crecentia cujete leaf extract was 230 ppm, Andrographis paniculata Ness. leaf extract was 222.22 ppm, Senna alata Roxb leaf extract was 202.58 ppm, herbaceous Scleria laevis Retz. was 172.19 ppm, Sesbania grandiflora leaf extract was 118.85 ppm, Schlerichera oleosa Merr. leaf extract was 54.36 ppm, Dalbergia stipulacea Roxb. leaf extract of 32.92 ppm, Tectona grandis bark was 5.02 ppm, Artocarpus teysmanii Miq. bark was 4.75 ppm, Psidium guajava leaf extract was 4.49 ppm, Muntingia calabura leaf extract was 3.61 ppm, and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) as a positive control had IC50 values of 2.20 ppm.Keywords:  Lansau, ethanol extract, antioxidant, DPPH, IC50 ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan 11 tanaman  dari 44 campuran bahan ramuan tradisional lansau menggunakan pereaksi Difenil Pikrilhidrazil (DPPH). Ekstrak yang digunakan ekstrak etanol hasil maserasi yang kemudian diuji aktivitas antioksidannya secara kuantitatif dengan pereaksi DPPH menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 516 nm dengan vitamin C sebagai kontrol positif. Hasil penetapan aktivitas antioksidan diperoleh dari perhitungan Inhibition Concentracion (IC50). Nilai IC50 ekstrak daun maja (Crecentia cujete) sebesar 230 ppm, daun sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata Ness.) 222,22 ppm, ekstrak daun ketepeng cina (Senna alata Roxb) sebesar 202,58 ppm, ekstrak herba wonta (Scleria laevis Retz.) sebesar 172,19 ppm, ekstrak daun turi (Sesbania grandiflora) sebesar 118,85 ppm, ekstrak daun kesambi (Schlerichera oleosa Merr.) sebesar 54,36 ppm, ekstrak daun kaghuse-ghuse (Dalbergia stipulacea Roxb.) sebesar 32,92 ppm, ekstrak kulit batang jati (Tectona grandis) sebesar 5,14 ppm, ekstrak kulit batang nangka hutan (Artocarpus teysmanii Miq.) sebesar 4,75 ppm, ekstrak daun jambu biji (Psidium guajava) sebesar 4,49 ppm,  ekstrak da un kersen (Muntingia calabura) sebesar 3,61 ppm, dan vitamin C (asam askorbat) sebagai kontrol positif dengan nilai  2,20  ppm.Kata kunci : Lansau, ekstrak etanol, antioksidan, DPPH, IC50
