Abstract

Telah dirancang sebuah prototipe instrumen resistivitymeter berteknologi digital yang memiliki akurasi yang baik. Resistivitymeter merupakan alat yang digunakan dalam eksplorasi, mitigasi bencana, dan mendeteksi pencemaran lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi pendahuluan penelitian ini dengan perbandingan langsung menggunakan hambatan berupa resistor. Prinsip kerja dari alat ini adalah dengan mentransmisikan aliran arus listrik. Hasil dari injeksi arus kemudian diukur tegangannya dengan multimeter. Data berupa nilai arus dan tegangan yang nantinya dapat digunakan untuk menetukan nilai resistansi/hambatan. Dari hasil pengujian menggunakan resistor menunjukkan nilai resistansi pada ala tresistivitymeter yang dibuat menunjukkan nilai yang mendekati nilai dari pembacaan multimeter standar, dan masih dibawah batas toleransi dari resistor yang digunakan yaitu sekitar 5%.

Abstract

The modern era as now the needs of electricity is enormous. This makes the supply of non-renewable resources dwindling (coal and natural gas). This makes the emergence of smart ideas and innovations by using alternative energy. By using alternative energy we can save the use of non-renewable resources and can create energy efficient environmentally friendly. This study aims to analyze the output power in DC motors by using variations in the number and diameters of the outer coils in order to produce maximum output power value. The research method used is the design and manufacture of tools and experiments by conducting a descriptive research approach. The results of the test using different diameter variations of wire are 0.15 mm, 0.20 mm and 0.25 mm. The voltage test obtained voltage of 0.40 V for wire diameter 0.15 mm, 0.46 V for wire diameter 0.20 mm, and 0.52 V for 0.25 mm wire diameter. Simultaneous current and voltage gain can further improve the efficiency.  Keywords: dc generator, magnet, coil

Abstract

Security issues have become major problem in the field of data communications, specifically in the data transmission through the internet. One of the solutions is to hide the messages through a digital media so the attention of the attacker or third party can be avoided, this method is known as steganography. In this research, we use images as digital media. We modify the Least Significant Bit (LSB) which is the most commonly used technique in steganography. Unfortunately LSB has poor security level since it is already widely known technique. Therefore, it is important to modify the algorithm of LSB to ensure its security aspect. An improvement to LSB technique is suggested by selecting only odd pixels and ignoring even pixels in the implementation of steganography. We successfully implement the modified LSB algorithm by using RBG image and grayscale image as steganography media. Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Peak Signal-to-noise Ratio (PSNR) are employed to evaluate the stego-image quality. Our calculations show that the modified LSB algorithm provides better results than the conventional LSB. The conventional LSB algorithm gives 1.98 10-5 for MSE and 95.20893 dB for PSNR calculations, while the modified LSB gives 1. 80 10-5 and 95.6101 dB for MSE and PSNR, respectively.

Abstract

The aim of our community service program is to create promotion media of tourist attraction located in Menoreh, Samigaluh District, Kulon Progo Regency. Menoreh has a lot of not well-developed potential tourist attractions. There are not many information that we can obtain in internet about Menoreh attractions. This can be viewed from low number of visitors in Menoreh. Therefore a good promotion media is needed to solve the explained problem. Menoreh is a very potential area not only because of its natural resources but also because the government through the Ministry of Tourism establish Menoreh as a National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) Borobudur. There are many choices of promotional media that can be used, in this community service program we use Android-based application. Ministry of Communications and Information Republic of Indonesia in its official website predicts that by 2018 the number of active users of smartphones in Indonesia will exceed of 100 million users. Indonesia will be the country with the fourth largest smartphone active users in the world after China, India and the United States. From the that fact we can said that the promotion with smartphone-based application (by means of Android) is one of the most effective promotional methods today.

Abstract

One of the activities of dedication to the community of Vocational School UGM aims to create an Online Store of typical products in Menoreh area, Samigaluh District, Kulon Progo Regency. Menoreh is a very potential area not only because of its natural resources, it is proved by the existence of government support through the Ministry of Tourism which establish Menoreh as the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) Borobudur. Menoreh area also save a lot of tourism potential that is still not well developed. Not much information can be obtained from the internet about tours in Menoreh, especially about the original products of Menoreh area such as the chips of the merchant, suroloyo coffee and many other products. So need a special Web-based Online Store to promote these products so as to improve the information and sales of original products of the region. In addition to making the Online Store products typical of the Menorah area, community service activities also provide training for the admin in each village in Menoreh area. As a result the typical products of the Menorah area can be accessed on the URL page: produk.menoreh.org and each village has an admin who is responsible for the promotion of original products from their respective villages.

Abstract

UAV formation is one of techology development in UAV world. The UAV formation can be utilized in various fields including agriculture, mapping and defense security (HANKAM). Communication is one of the important components in making UAV formations. To make UAV formations, position and direction data (AHRS) from each UAV will be sent to other UAVs so that when forming UAV formation, no collisions occur between UAVs. This study uses a star topology like the one on a computer network. This method involves two or more UAVs, both of which will exchange data. In this study the data sent is in the form of a dummy data package using the xbee module. The purpose of this study is the initial model of communication between UAVs which can later be developed into more complex communication models for many UAVs. The results obtained in the form of maximum communication distance between UAVs is 50m and the recommended optimal distance is 10-20m.
