Abstract

The biggest use of contraceptives in Indonesia is 3-month injectable contraceptives, 3- month contraceptives containing Depo Medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) where long-term use of DMPA contraception results in sex hormone deficiency so that the acceptor experiences sexual dysfunction in aspects of sexual desire (libido) and intercourse pain. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the long use of DMPA injectable hormonal contraceptives with the incidence of sexual dysfunction in acceptors based on literature studies. The study used is a literature study with the type of Systematic Mapping Study. Articles are taken from databases in the form of Google Schoolar and Elsevier. The population obtained from the database was 23 articles, then screened using the PEOS framework and obtained as many as 5 articles consisting of four national articles and one international article. The results of the analysis of 5 articles found that the duration of DMPA use >2 years was 52.6% and 61.8% experienced sexual dysfunction. The results of the analysis test on the five articles showed that there was a 100% relationship between the duration of using DMPA injectable contraception and the incidence of sexual dysfunction. DMPA injection family planning acceptors should pay attention to the duration of use to reduce long-term risk, one of which is sexual dysfunction.

Abstract

At this time, many pregnant women don’t understand the importance of KIA Books. KIA books are often assumed to be a control card that must carry. But too much of information contained has an impact KIA books being less applied by pregnant woman. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women TM III with danger signs of pregnancy use of KIA books. This research design uses probability sampling by means of cluster sampling. The data were taken from a questionnaire given by pregnant women TM III. Research subject is pregnant women with TM III, data were analyzed by the spearman rank test. This study involved 62 pregnant women TM III. The result is 19 respondents (30.6%) have good knowledge, in detail 15 respondents (24.4%) use KIA books and 4 respondents (6.5%) didn’t use KIA books. Meanwhile, 21 respondents (33.9%) were knowledgeable enough, in detail 11 respondents (17.7%) used KIA books and 10 respondents (16.1%) didn’t use KIA books. Then, 22 respondents (35.5%) had less knowledge, indicating that 16 respondents (25.8%) used KIA books and 6 respondents (25.8%) didnt use KIA books. Spearman rank test results obtained value 0.764 > = 0.05. In conclusion, there is no relationship between the knowledge of pregnant women TM III about the danger signs of pregnancy with the use of the KIA books. So it is important to understand the KIA books for pregnant women with TM III to detect the danger signs of pregnancy so that they can be handled quickly and appropriately.

Abstract

The family planning program is the most basic preventive health effort for women. Based on data from the East Java Provincial Health Office in 2017, 77.1% of new family planning acceptors and active family planning acceptors used non-MJKP contraception, while 23% used MJKP contraception.The high number of non-MKJP contraceptive acceptors is caused by several factors including age, education level, number of children, husband's support. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the selection of Non-MKJP contraception in the Tapen Puskesmas District of Bondowoso. This study is a comparative study with a cross sectional approach, using Simple Random Sampling with a sample consisting of 110 Non MKJP contraceptive acceptors. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using chi-square. The results obtained 69.1% of mothers with a healthy reproductive age category, mothers at the Senior High School (SMA) education level of 55.5%, mothers who had 2 children were 51.8%, and those who received husband's support were 80.0 %. Data were analyzed by chi-square test. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that the age factor showed (p = 0,000), education level (p = 0,000), number of children (p = 0,000), husband's support (p = 0,000). The α value of the four factors is 0.05. Age, education level, number of children, husband's support are influenced by the high number of non-MKJP contraceptive acceptors in the work area of ​​Tapen Puskesmas, Bondowoso Regency. Government efforts have been good in suppressing birth rates by providing information about Non-MKJP contraception and making the Non-MKJP contraceptive method as one of the methods that is quite effective and able to help the success of government programs especially in the field of KB Keywords: Contraception acceptors, MKJP, Fertile Age Couples (PUS)
