Abstract

The economic crisis that convolved the world economy a few years ago is the result of a series of government policies in the economic field. Starting from the Subprime Mortgage in America, the crisis eventually spreads across all sectors of the economy. As analysts say that the explosion of the current economic crisis is caused by the trend of low interest rates that are applied by the Fed. The trend of low interest rates will give rise to expectation of market to future economic situation. It is characterized by the overflow of capital expansion in all sectors, especially in property sector. Today, along with the growing mobility of capital from one country to another as part of unavoidable economic liberalization, mobility of capital, on the one hand, has spawned some of the imbalances in the life of a State. The powerlessness can not be separated from economic ideology and system on state role in the economy. Capitalism with its laissez faire brings the concept of state minimal role in the economy. In the empirical facts, it is broken by the crisis situation in 1930 and today's financial crisis. Socialism tends to carry the central role of the State in the economy through the centralistic planning system. The fall of the Soviet Union in the 1980s brought the world to a choice whether reconstructing capitalism or socialism as Fukuyama and Gidden said. On the other hand, as the new system, the economic system of Islam brings the concept of the role of the State in the economy on the basis of universal values of Islam, such as justice in the economy which is reflected in the mechanism of the prohibition of riba (usury), just income distribution and redistribution of income through zakat and social security. This article is an exposure of the State's role in the economy which is studied through the perspective of today’s economic system. The systems are capitalism, socialism, and Islam. The article not only explores conceptual framework, but also also contains an empirical framework mapping and how the conceptual framework is operated. At the end, from the two mapping (conceptual and empirical), author draws a reflection of how the State should play a role in the economic field. Keywords: Capitalism, Socialism, Islam, Economic Role of State

Abstract

The failure of the capitalist system in realizing just welfare becomes a necessity for mankind to deconstruct the economy of capitalism into a just and civic economic system which in this case of course Islamic economics deserves to be considered as one alternative in realizing human prosperity. As one of today’s contemporary muslim economists, Baqir Sadr’s ideas are increasingly finding relevance to the current global economic situation. This article examines the thoughts of Baqir Sadr in the book Iqtishaduna (our Economic) by using the approach of library research. The results of this study include. First The idea that capitalism is a system that is solely oriented to the accumulation of capital and ignore the values outside the economic motive. The two important meanings of the State’s role in economics at Baqir Sadr’s foundation can be found in the notion of a conventional economist, one of which is former US Federal Reserve governor Alan Gleenspan, which highlights the importance of state involvement in economic activities as in the case of the Subprime Mortgage financial crisis. The three ideas of wealth distribution that require the circulation of property in both local and transnational domains become very relevant to see the imbalances that occur in the world today as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) said as many as 20% of the rich in the world are enjoying 86% of world wealth, while 80% of the world's poor enjoy only 14% of the world's wealth. Keywords: Relevance, Capitalism Failure, Baqir Sadr Thought

Abstract

Sharia Insurance according to a binding ruling in religious matters (fatwa) of the National Shari'ah Board of the Indonesian Ulama Council no: 21 /DSN-MUI/ X / 2001 is a mutual effort to help among a number of people/parties through investment in assets or tabarru' which provides a pattern of return to face certain risks through engagement in accordance with the sharia. PRUlink sharia is an insurance product associated with sharia-based investment. PRUlink Syariah is designed to meet the society's need for future financial designs in accordance with Islamic principles of sharia. There are two types of product of PRUlink Syariah insurance, namely PRUlink Syariah Investor Account and PRUlink Syariah Assurance Account. Kind of Product in PRUlink Syariah is contract between policy holders using contract of tabarru which is called hibah and the owner of the policy/participant premises sharia insurance company using contract of tijarah called wakalah bin ujrah. In sharia insurance there is a surplus sharing that will be distributed to customers calculated at the end of the calendar year. This can be obtained if there are more funds than tabarru' accounts that have been reduced by claims and debt to the company if any. How is PRUlinksyariah managed in Prudential? The result of the research shows that PRUsyariah premium management in Prudential is separated by two accounts, namely tabarru' account and investment account. The own fund is managed by Eastpring Investment, that is manager company from Asia prudential, while allocation of fund is invested in stocks and obligation which is in accordance with sharia principles contained in the Jakarta Stock Exchange. For the choice of investment in PRUsariah, there are three options of investment, namely Sharia-Rupiah Equity Fund, Sharia-Rupiah Managed Fund or Sharia-Rupiah fixed Income fund, in accordance with the choice of the next participant. From the investment result the participant agrees to pay tabarru’ contribution directly input into tabarru' account. Tabarru’  funds are fully owned by participants and used to pay claims participants claim at any time, but if there is tabaaru’ funds excess with claims total in one year as of 31 December paid, then tabarru’ surplus or that is called surplus will be distributed participants that meet the requirements to get the surplus. Keywords: Tabarru’ Fund Management, Sharia Insurance, Prudential Life

Abstract

Welfare state or better known as the term prosperous is a form of actualization of idealism that upholds the values of humanism. It containS a set of ideal ideas on how the state is able to serve its people. Capitalism as a modern economic system, which is first demonstrated by humans, built the concept of the walfere state on the philosophy of laizes fair, which manifested itself in a free market system that uphold the value of free faith liberalism. The state in the capitalist system has a famous role with the term minimal role which in the term Adam Smith is said to be no intervesion. These roles include defense security, enforcement of justice and providing and maintaining certain public facilities and institutions. While the concept of walfere state in Islam is an effort to synergize worldly material interests with the spiritual interests of ukrowiyah. In addition, the concept of the welfare state in Islam is also based on the principles of Tawhid, al-Adl and khilafah. The role of the government in the Islamic conception includes fulfilling basic needs and guaranteeing the achievement of spiritual values. Abstract

Perkembangan ini diwujudkan dalam bentuk yang bervariasi baik dari segi inovasi produk, prinsip, sistem operasionalnya serta pergeseran paradigma sampai pada pengkonversian diri. Dari pergeseran dan perkembangan yang ada tersebut, dalam kurun waktu terakhir, muncul lembaga-lembaga keuangan berbasis syari’ah yang mana sebagai salah satu tonggak penting dalam pengembangan ekonomi syari’ah di Indonesia, di mana perkembangannya mengalami peningkatan yang cukup menggembirakan. Berdasarkan teori terbentuk beberapa faktor yang mungkin dapat mempengaruhi keputusan masyarakat umum menjadi nasabah Bank Syariah Mandiri. Hal tersebut merupakan salah satu pendorong penulis mengadakan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan fokus masyarakat, dimana penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya hanya berfokus kepada mayoritas nasabah Muslim.

Abstract

This research is a library research (liberary research), data collected by researchers from secondary sources. This research aims to reveal Karl Marx's thoughts about superstructure and infrastructure dialectics in the structure of society. The data were analyzed by researchers using the content analysis method. The results of the study stated that according to Karl Mark, the community structure was divided into two major parts, namely infrastructure (base) and superstructure (superstructure). The lower layer (infrastructure / base) is determined by two things, namely the productive forces (productivkrafte) and production relations (production sverbalt-nisse). The components that make up the productive forces consist of work tools, the ability and experience of society in work (labor), and the technology used in the production process. Meanwhile, the superstructure consists of 2 types, namely the institutional order and the order of collective consciousness or the building of ideology. Institutional arrangements are all kinds of institutions that regulate community life outside the field of production, which includes market organization, education system, public health system, law and the state. Meanwhile, the order of collective consciousness is an order that contains a belief system, norms and values ​​that provide a framework for understanding, meaning and spiritual orientation. Abstract

Produk operasional bank Syari’ah secara umum dapat dikelompokkan menjadi tiga kelompok. Pertama produk penghimpunan dana ( Funding ), kedua Produk penyaluran dana atau pembiayaan ( Lending) dan ketiga produk jasa ( Service ). Produk-produk tersebut dalam aplikasi praksisnya memiliki instrumen prinsip Syari’ah yang berbeda. Pada aspek Funding prinsip yang melekat didalamnya terdiri atas prinsip Wadi’ah dan prinsip Mudharabah. Dalam hal penyaluran dana prinsip yang digunakan terbagi menjadi 3 jenis, pertama prinsip jual beli ( Tijarah ), kedua prinsip sewa (Ijarah) dan ketiga prinsip bagi hasil (Syirkah). Sedangkan dalam kelompok jasa ( Service ) prinsip yang digunakan adalah Hiwalah, Kafalah, Rahn, Qordul Hasan, Jualah Dan Sorf. BSM dan BIMB merupakan dua bank Syari’ah yang eksistensinya sebagai representasi dari prinsip-prinsip diatas. Selain itu keduanya merupakan aikon bank Syari’ah dari masing-masing negara. Di sisi lain, bank Syari’ah juga dihadapkan dalam permasalahan dan tantangan diera percaturan ekonomi dewasa ini. Sistem yang telah mapan dan paradigma masyarakat yang telah terhegemoni produk-produk bank konvensional adalah tantangan tersediri bagi bank syari’ah. Setidaknya ada beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi bank Syari’ah, yaitu pengembangan kelembagaan, perangkat hukum, sumber daya manusia (SDM), pengembangan produk, pangsa pasar, dan penerapan prinsip kehati-hatian.

Abstract

Dalam ekonomi Islam, keinginan manusia untuk mengumpulkan dan memperoleh harta kekayaan adalah fitrah setiap manusia. Manusia diciptakan Allah meliputi jasmani dan rohani. oleh sebab itu, kebutuhannya haruslah terpenuhi. Dorongan manusia untuk memperoleh harta kekayaan adalah tidak lain di sebabkan oleh adanya keberadaan kebutuhan jasmani manusia agar tetap eksis di dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendikripsikan konsepsi kepemilikan dan distribusi pendapatan dalam sistem ekonomi Islam. Data dihimpun dengan membaca dan menelaah literatur yang berkaitan dengan fokus pemelitian dan dianalisis dengan teknik deskriftif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan Islam tidak melarang individu-individu untuk memperoleh harta kekayaan, melainkan Islam hanya mengatur mekanisme pemerolehan harta kekayaan tersebut. Dengan kata lain, keberadaan hak milik individu diakui oleh Islam. Selain itu, Islam juga mengakui keberadaan kepemilikan umum dan kepemilikan negara. Konsep distribusi pendapatan dalam sistem ekonomi Islam mengharuskan pada dua hal supaya keadilan sebagai prinsip ekonomi Islam termanivestasi didalamnya. Abstract

This research aims to show the effect of using the muzaki corner application on muzaki interest in tithing. The research method uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all muzaki of the Gresik National Amil Zakat Agency, who used the muzaki corner application. The sample in this study was 80 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires with an accidental sampling technique. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that using the muzaki corner application affected people's interest in tithing, with an effect of 92.3%. In comparison, 7.7% was influenced by other factors that were not included in this research model. This research can strengthen the growth and development of public interest in tithing at the National Amil Zakat Agency.

Abstract

Tourism object is one of the potentials of the people's economy that needs to be developed to increase people's income. The existence of a tourist attraction has a role in the income of the surrounding community, with a tourist attraction in an area will directly open up jobs for the surrounding community. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of Edu Wisata on village community income. The population of this research is the people of Hendrosari Village who have a business around Edu Wisata Lontar Sewu Hendrosari. The type of research used is quantitative research. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study concluded that 29.7% of respondents stated that the existence of lontar sewn ecotourism had an impact on people's income and the remaining 70.3% were influenced by other factors that were not included in this research model. The results of this study have implications for the importance of managing Edu Wisata lontar sew as a step to increase the income of the community around Edu Wisata
