Abstract

The research objectives are: 1) Knowing the processing of coconut into copra in the copra udin industry, 2) Analyzing the large value added by the copra udin industry owner. This research was carried out in the copra udin industry in the village of Pematang Kambat, Seruyan Hilir Timur District, Seruyan Regency. This industry is the largest copra industry when viewed from the number of workers and its production capacity of 6.42 kw/week compared to other industries in the village of Pematang Kambat. The types of data used in this study include primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained from the results of research by interviewing directly with the owner of the industry assisted by a list of questions. Secondary data is data obtained from various sources such as textbooks, journals, and related institutions. The research method used is a case study and data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. This study used a qualitative descriptive analysis to explain the process of processing coconut into copra in the Udin Kopra Industry which is still traditional in nature which consists of several stages starting from the supply of raw materials in the form of coconut, coconut husk stripping, coconut cleavage, drying stage 1, plucking, drying stage 2, chopping and packaging which still uses a lot of human power compared to the engine. Quantitative analysis was used to analyze the value of coconut added to the Udin Copra Industry which was assisted by the Hayami Method. The added value of coconut processing into copra is IDR 1,119.60 which is the difference from the copra per kilogram value with a ratio of added value of 50.89%, and obtains a margin of IDR 1,200.00 which is distributed to each factor of production, namely: 1) . Labor benefits are 75% which is the highest production factor where the factor ratio is > 40%; 2). The contribution of other inputs is 6.70% which is the lowest production factor where the production factor ratio is <15%; while 3). The company's profit of 18.30% is a medium production factor where the factor production ratio is between 15-40%.

Abstract

Purpose of this research are (1) to identify households welfare level of the catch and catchfarming fisherman, (2) to study general problems faced by the catch and catch-farming fisherman households in fisheries development. This research conducted in Bereng Bengkel Village, Sabangau Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City. The site was selected purposively because majority is fisherman. Sample was chosen using purposive sampling. Total sample is 24 fisherman households that consist of 18 catch fisherman households and 6 catch-farming fisherman households. Household?s characteristics that studied are age, education, dependency, secondary job, ethnic, and facility ownership. In the catch fisherman households,the age of households head varies (51-64 years old), majority is primary school graduated, dependency is 4-5 people, minority having various secondary jobs, majority is Dayak tribe, and using 8types of catching-equipments. In the catch-farming fisherman households the age of households head varies and in productive age (31-44) years old, majority is primary school graduates, dependency is between 3?4 people, almost catchfarming fisherman having variety of secondary jobs, majority is Banjar tribe (62%), and using 4 types of catching-equipments. The research shows that majority of the catch fisherman household (83,33%) is not prosperous and the rest (16,67%) is pre-prosperous. It showed by the average Proportion of Food Consumption is 75%. As a contrast in the catchfarming fisherman household, only 33,33% is categorized not prosperous and 66,67% is declared pre-prosperous, that showed by the averages proportion of food consumption is 63%. General problem faced by the catch and catch-farming fisherman households are season and water condition. The season affects the number of catches-fish and water condition affects condition of fish that farmed in the floating fish-cage in the river.

Abstract

The purposes of this research is : Knowing Economic Growth of agriculture, forestry and fishery sector in East Kotawaringin Regency. The data used is Gross Regional Domestic Product in East Kotawaringin Regency and Central Kalimantan Province based on Current Prices and Constant Price 2010 in the year 2011 ? 2015. The result is Growth Ratio Model analysis Province based on Current Prices in 2011-2015 sectors with positive connotation (++) : Food Crops Subsubsector and Agricultural Services and hunting. Sectors with negative connotation (+-) : Horticultural Crops and Plantation Crops Subsubsector. Analysis MRP Constant Price 2010, sectors with positive connotation (++) : Food Crops Subsubsector and Plantation Crops. Sectors with negative connotation (+-) : Horticultural Crops Subsubsector and Agricultural Services and hunting subsubsector, forestry and Logging subsector and Fisheries subsubsector.

Abstract

The research aims to analize: (1) level of sustainability farming of rice in peat land and (2) level of farmers household income in peat land. Research location determined by purposive sampling in Terusan Karya Village, Bataguh Sub District, Kapuas. Sampling was done by simple random sampling method by taking 50 farmers household serve as respondent. Data collected in form of primary and secondary data. To achieve the purpose of first study were analyzed by scoring sustainability of farming indicators using Likert Scale system. Indicator of farming sustainability is an instrument that includes biophysical and socio-economic aspects used to measure the level of sustainability of farming of rice in peat land. To achieve purpose of second study analyzed a simple tabulation to measure level of farmers household income. Based on analysis of farming sustainability of rice in peat land turns farming sustainability index by 76.10 percent, which means that the level of farming sustainability is good category (highly sustainable). The results of the analysis of farmers household income was found that the level of farmer households income of IDR 16,906,614 which means that the economic situation has been categorized good farmer households.
