Abstract

One of the difficulties of kanji learning is knowing the meaning of the kanji. This is a very vital thing because kanji is basically a symbol of meaning. Bushu is a kanji-forming factor that shows meaning. For this reason, this study wants to know the influence of bushu understanding on the ability to interpret kanji (a combination of kanji). The theory used in the research is the theory of bushu and kanji. This study using ex post facto research with a quantitative approach. The instrument in this study using a test. The test questions that have been made, are used to determine the level of understanding of bushu on interpreting kanji in Japanese education students 2015. The results showed that the average understanding of bushu respondents was 81.2. While the average understanding of bushu in interpreting the respondent's logo is 85.8. Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, the magnitude of the influence of bushu understanding (X) on the ability to interpreting kanji (Y) is 50.7%. while the remaining 49.3% is influenced by other factors besides understanding bushu (X). The conclusion of the results of this study is there is a strong influence between understanding bushu on the ability to interpret the meaning of kanji.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) bagaimana kesalahan interferensi B1 dalam penggunaan adposisi bahasa Jepang, (2) bagaimana interferensi hubungan gramatikal dalam penggunaan adposisi bahasa Jepang yang muncul pada bahasa tulis, dan (3) bagaimana tingkat kesulitan adposisi bahasa Jepang berdasarkan  interferensi yang muncul pada bahasa tulis mahasiswa angkatan 2010 sastra Jepang Universitas Brawijaya, Malang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif digunakan untuk mencari validitas dan realibilitas test, serta mencari frekuensi terbanyak dari kesalahan yang  dibuat siswa. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah siswa, sedangkan data diperoleh dari hasil tes yang dikerjakan siswa, serta hasil interview. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa interferensi bahasa Indonesia pada penggunaan adposisi bahasa Jepang dalam kalimat yang  dibuat siswa terjadi pada adposisi  wa, mo, ga, o, ni, de,  dan  no.  Interferensi hubungan gramatikal yang terjadi pada penggunaan adposisi bahasa Jepang  dalam bahasa tulis yang dibuat siswa adalah transfer hubungan gramatikal B1 melanggar pola hubungan gramatikal B2, tetapi maknanya masih bisa dimengerti secara tersirat. Adposisi yang termasuk dalam transfer hubungan gramatikal B1 melanggar hubungan gramatikal B2 ini adalah  ni, e, de, o,  dan  no. Tingkat kesulitan adposisi bahasa Jepang berdasarkan  interferensi yang muncul pada bahasa tulis mahasiswa sastra Jepang angkatan 2010 Universitas Brawijaya Malang adalah taiou /transfer (1-1)?dounyuu/overdifferensiasi(0-1)? tougou /konvergensi (2-1).

Abstract

(Application of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) Method in Japanese Language Learning in Senior High School This study aims to find out how the application and inhibiting factors of the HOTS method in learning Japanese at the high school level. The scope of this research is the planning and learning process in one of the KD (Basic Competency) Japanese XI grade at SMAN 6 Malang. The process of making an evaluation, and the evaluation process itself does not belong to the scope of this study. The method used in this research was a descriptive qualitative method using Classroom Research design. Data collection techniques used non-participant observation, documentation, and interviews. The data in this study were dialogues, monologues, and activities related to the application of the HOTS method in learning Japanese. The results of this study indicated that the learning used by teachers for the application of HOTS was following the Problem Based Learning model in which there were learning processes in analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6). Inhibiting factors that arose in the process of applying the HOTS method consisted of teacher doubt in planning the learning tools, differences in the understanding of each teacher in interpreting HOTS-based teaching materials, limitations of instructional media that are compatible with learning materials, inadequate school facilities, and students who tend to be passive.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in the acquisition of learning outcomes of stu-dents of Japanese Language Education and Chinese Literature Class of 2015 in GPA based on the type of college entrance selection. This research used ex post facto type (examine the circumstances that have happened), and also this study only see student learning outcomes from college entrance, and do not see the learning process of each study program. The results of the study are expected to be considered in determining the quota of student admission selection path. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with research subjects of students of Japanese Language Education and Chinese Literature Class of force of 2015. Data collection technique using documentation technique is KHS student. Data analysis was performed by: 1) Assumption test using data normality test and homogeneity test, 2) One way ANOVA analysis. The results of the study show that the Chinese Literature Study achievement of independent students has a GPA not much different from the SNMPTN and SBMPTN lines. Meanwhile, in the Japanese Education Education Program, students from independent pathways under SBMPTN defeat stu-dents’ IPK score of SNMPTN. So it can be concluded that college entrance is still not able to guarantee student achievement in college. Interest and attention will result in learning motivation and successful desire in students is the main capital to achieve the highest achievement in collegesuccessful desire in students is the main capital to achieve the highest achievement in college

Abstract

Takhayul merupakan pernyataan yang bersifat lisan ditambah dengan gerak isyarat yang dianggap mempunyai makna gaib. Masyarakat Jepang dan Indonesia hingga saat ini masih ada yang percaya terhadap takhayul. Salah satunya takhayul yang mengunakan kata hewan. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui simbol hewan yang sama-sama digunakan pada takhayul masyarakat Jepang dan Indonesia, serta mengetahui alasan persamaan dan perbedaan simbol metafora dan budaya dalam takhayul tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori metafora milik Lakoff dan Johnson tentang hubungan antara metafora dan budaya serta teori budaya milik Jandt tentang penyebab adanya perbedaan budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan sumber data takhayul yang ada dalam buku Shireba Osoroshii Nihonjin no Fuushuu artikel lain dari internet yang di dalamnya terdapat takhayul dari Indonesia. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan tujuh simbol hewan yang ada di Jepang dan Indonesia yaitu kucing, burung gagak, anjing, ular, sapi, katak, dan ayam. Persamaan antara takhayul Jepang dan Indonesia adalah karena nilai-nilai yang paling mendasar dalam budaya akan koheren dengan struktur metafora dari konsep yang paling mendasar dalam budaya itu sendiri. Sedangkan perbedaan dikarenakan budaya yang dibedakan melalui cara berpikir kelompok tersebut secara keseluruhan, praktik, pola perilaku, persepsi, nilai dan asumsi dalam hidup mereka yang mengarahkan perilaku tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan strategi interpretasi makna jukugo yang tidak diketahui, serta faktor penyebab pemilihan strategi. Analisis penggunaan strategi dikaji menggunakan tiga teori yaitu teori kontekstual, mnemonic dengan rikusho, dan pembentukan jukugo. Faktor penyebab pemilihan strategi dikaji berdasarkan teori faktor pengaruh pemilihan strategi pembelajaran bahasa kedua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara melakukan wawancara dan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Universitas Brawijaya angkatan 2018. Dari 47 responden didapatkan hasil bahwa kecenderungan strategi yang sering digunakan adalah strategi kontekstual, kemudian mnemonic dan metode pembentukan jukugo jarang digunakan. Diketahui faktor pemilihan strategi kontekstual yaitu pengetahuan kosakata, motivasi, gaya belajar kinestetik, kemampuan aptitude, dan kecerdasan linguistik. Faktor penyebab pemilihan strategi mnemonic yaitu kecerdasan spasial visual, gaya belajar visual, pengetahuan kosakata dan motivasi. Sementara Pengetahuan kosakata dan motivasi merupakan faktor penyebab pemilihan penggunaan strategi metode pembentukan jukugo.

Abstract

The oral translation course at the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Universitas Brawijaya does not impose special requirements for students who want to take it. For this reason, this study aims to analyse the quality of student’s oral translations and to determine the competencies that affect the results of student’s Japanese-Indonesian oral translations. In the translation quality, special parameters are used as measurement tools, which are: accuracy, fluency, and clarity. Meanwhile, the parameters to determine the competence that affects the translation results using the bilingual sub-competence, extralinguistic sub-competence, nation translation sub-competence, instrumental sub-competence, strategic sub-competence, psychological sub-competence.   This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data used in this study were the transcripts of the results of the oral translation exercises from the audio “Nihongo Soumatome Mondai” that was played. The data collection technique uses primary and secondary sources. The analysis in this study used Miles and Huberman theory (reduction, data display, and verification). The result of accuracy parameter is inaccurate and the fluency parameter of the most translated result is fluent. In the clarity parameter, the highest number of translated results is non-acceptable. This shows that although students are fluent, their translation result are not acceptable. Meanwhile, the translation competence that affects the translation results of students who take the tsuuyaku course is the lack of a bilingual sub-competency factor or mastery of the source language of a translator. Although they already had the basics of translation before, however, due to the low bilingual sub-competence, no matter how well the translation theory has been mastered, it is still difficult to produce an accurate and clear translation.
