Abstract

Mirror Beach is one of the potential tourist areas in Serdang Bedagai Regency. As the tourism area is synonymous with tourism, the community service activity in this proposal is to develop English-language tourism jargon in the Al-Hidayah recitation group in Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai District. Al-Hidayah Study Group consists of mothers who live around the tourist destination, Pantai Cermin. As one of the tourist destinations, this location is often visited by foreign tourists. The mothers who are included in this study group are dominant traders who sell around the beach. However, their ability to communicate in English is still minimal. This is due to the lack of understanding of English and the limited vocabulary in English so that they have difficulty communicating in English. The final goal to be achieved in this service is to increase the ability of mothers to communicate using English. The solution offered is to teach English-language tourism jargon so that their vocabulary increases. And also teaching about simple English so they can use it in daily communication. With increasing vocabulary and understanding of English, it is hoped that they will increase their competence and confidence.

Abstract

Kisah disabilitas tidak hanya dapat ditemui di dunia nyata namun juga dalam media massa. Salah satu film yang menghadirkan tokoh disabilitas adalah film The Shape Of Water melalui tokoh utamanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membongkar disabilitas yang dijadikan komoditi bagi kaum kapitalis, pemilik media massa. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Komodifikasi (Teori Ekonomi-Politik Media) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode analisis semiotika Roland Barthes yang meliputi tiga level pemaknaan yaitu denotasi, konotasi dan mitos.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah disabilitas telah mengalami pergeseran mitos. Dalam mitos daerah, disabilitas dianggap sakti, tidak mandiri, dan tidak dapat bersosialisasi. Namun dalam film The Shape of Water, disabilitas digambarkan sebagai ‘aib’, mandiri, dan mampu bersosialisasi. Selain itu, film ini juga memantapkan beberapa mitos seperti dikucilkan dari masyarakat, sesuatu yang menyedihkan dan memiliki derajat yang rendah.

Abstract

Hukum Islam, merupakan disiplin ilmu yang meliputi Fiqh, Ushl al-Fiqh, ilmu tafsir dan ilmu hadith, seharusnya dapat memberikan solusi terhadap persoalan masyarakat di seluruh tempat dan zaman dalam kehidupan masyarakat dunia Islam yang rahmatan lil’alamin. Namun Islam yang tampil nyatanya tidak ramah, tidak toleran dan diskriminatif. Kegelisahan tersebut mendorong Jasser Auda melakukan penelitian tentang penggunaanal-Maqasid Syari’ah sebagai filsafat hukum Islam dengan menggunakan pendekatan sistem. dalam melakukan risetnya Jasser menggunakan filsafat sistem sebagai objek formal kajian ilmu atau sudut pandang penelitian, dan al-Maqasid Shari’ah sebagai objek material kajian ilmu atau fokus kajian. Teori hukum Islam dengan pendekatan sistem mempunyai sifat, Menuju ke arah validasi semua pengetahuan, kesatuan (wholenes), multidimensional, terbuka dan berorientasi padatujuan tertentu (purposefulnes). Al-Maqasid Syari’ah pada ahirnya berperan untuk pembaruan hukum Islam kontemporer sehingga bermanfaat dalam meletakkan landasan ijtihad kontemporer, untuk pengembangan produk keuangan syari’ah.
