The development of information technology has changed teaching and learning styles from passive learning to active learning and from traditional classroom models to digital-based innovative classroom models. One of the newest digital-based learning models today that uses learning videos as a learning medium outside the classroom is flipped learning models. This study aims to identify differences in laboratory skills learning outcomes in the intervention and control groups after the application of the Android application-based flipped learning model to nursing students in Jambi City. This type of research is quantitative research, namely Quasy Experiment with Post-test Only Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study were students of the second semester of the nursing study program for the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 40 students. Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Harapan Ibu Jambi consisted of 20 students as the experimental group and the University of Jambi as the control group with 20 students. Sampling technique using purposive random sampling. The average results of the laboratory skills scores in the experimental group are 83,55±SD.2.212. The results showed that the significance value of (2-tailed) 0,001 <0,05 which means that there is an effect of applying flipped learning models based on android applications on laboratory skills learning outcomes for nursing students. The conclusion in the study is that Android-based flipped learning models have been shown to improve nursing student learning outcomes.
