Abstract

This research is descriptive. The population in this study is the student 'SMA Negeri 1 Batu, while the study sample represented students randomly by class XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Batu 2011/2012 school year. Type of  instruments used in the form of a written test in the form of an objective with five alternative answers. Technique of data collecting is done through two phases: preparation and implementation stage. From the results of research conducted a few conclusions obtained are: (1) Understanding the concept of acid and alkaline solution student 'SMA Negeri 1 Batu at the macroscopic level are classified as good by 84% the percentage of comprehension, (2) Understanding the concept of acid and alkaline solution of XI class students SMA Negeri 1 Batu IPA at the microscopic level considered adequate by 64% the percentage of comprehension, and (3) There is a relationship between students' understanding of the concept of macroscopic with microscopic students' understanding of concepts in a solution of acid and base material because rhitung ? rtabel.

Abstract

This research aims to develop biochemistry practical instructions that are integrated with Islamic education based on local wisdom in South Kalimantan which utilizes Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) technology using a guided inquiry model. The method for developing practical instructions uses the ADDIE model including the needs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. Data was obtained through interviews with Banjar residents, literature studies to integrate Islam and science, validity tests of material experts and media experts, as well as surveys of student responses to practical instructions that have been implemented in the learning environment. The research results showed that the development of guided inquiry-based practical instructions that utilized GC-MS technology was categorized as the learning source (78.75), and very valid as the instructional Media (81.25). Then, based on student responses, this practical guide received an excellent category (95) to be applied to the biochemistry practical course

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk optimalisasi metode penetapan senyawa fitokimia dalam sirih merah (Piper crocatum) menggunakan teknik maserasi dengan pelarut n-heksana dan Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) melalui berbagai variasi konsentrasi. Sirih merah dikenal memiliki senyawa fitokimia sehingga berpotensi dalam pengembangan metode ekstraksi.  Diperlukan analisis yang mendalam untuk pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif terhadap komposisi kimia tanaman ini terutama mempertimbangkan variasi konsentrasi dalam sampel. Penelitian terhadap komposisi fitokimia dalam sirih merah menjadi sangat penting dalam upaya memahami potensinya pada kesehatan dan produk herbal lainnya. Daun sirih merah dihaluskan dan diekstraksi dengan pelarut n-heksana melalui metode maserasi. Selanjutnya dilakukan variasi konsentrasi (volume/volume) pada larutan ekstrak yang dihasilkan. Kemudian, dilakukan analisis GC-MS pada setiap variasi konsentrasi untuk memperoleh profil senyawa fitokimia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode maserasi dengan pelarut n-heksana efektif dalam mengekstraksi senyawa-senyawa fitokimia dari sirih merah. Variasi konsentrasi yang tepat pada 400/1000 sampai dengan 600/1000. Variasi konsentrasi dalam analisis GC-MS memberikan informasi tambahan mengenai respons senyawa-senyawa terhadap perubahan konsentrasi sehingga memperkaya pemahaman kita tentang komposisi kimia tanaman ini. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang pemanfaatan sirih merah secara optimal dalam bidang penelitian, praktikum, farmasi dan produk kesehatan berbasis herbal.
