Abstract

Abstract. Saidah, Wahyuni AN, Muchtar, Padang IS, Sutardi. 2020. The growth and yield performance of true shallot seed production in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Asian J Agric 4:  18-22. Shallot  (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a vegetable commodity that has high economic value and market prospects. So far, planting shallots using seeds from tubers, but planting onions with seeds is better and cost efficiency and seeds are healthier. The aim of this study was to determine the growth and yield performance of true shallot seed production in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The study was conducted from May to September 2018 in Wuasa Village, North Lore Sub-district, Poso District at an altitude of 1083.7 meters above sea level. Research with an on farm research approach on farmer's land as a cooperator covering an area of ??3000 m2. The study used the Probability Sampling Method with 10 replications. The results showed that the growth and yield performance of true shallot seed in Central Sulawesi was quite high. This is due to the suitability of the climatic conditions and cultivation technology that has been applied. In the yield component, the percentage of flowering plants was quite high at 78% with a number of capsules/flowers at 80.67. The success of true shallot seed production is expected to be able to replace the source of seed from the tuber which has been containing viruses and diseases carried by the tuber seeds.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to examine the effect of Net Profit Margin, Earning per Share, Return onEquity, and Price to Book Value on stock prices in LQ-45 companies in 2016-2018. The method usedis quantitative methods. This study used SPSS version 25. The results partially explain that NetProfit Margin and Return on Equityhave a significant negative effect on stock prices, Earning perShare and Price to Book Value have a significant positive effect on stock prices. Meanwhile, simultaneously Net Profit Margin, Earning per Share, Return on Equity, and Price to Book Valuehave a significant effect on stock prices. Based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination,it shows that the stock price is influenced by the independent variables in this study of 81.5% and theremaining 18.5% is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Keywords: Stock Price, Net Profit Margin, Earning per Share, Return on Equity, and Price toBookValue

Abstract

The installation of elbow ducting in closed-loop wind tunnel installation will cause a pressure drop. Pressure drop was caused by flow separation and secondary flow phenomenon in the elbow ducting. The test section used in this experimental study was an octagonal elbow 90º with radius ratio (rm/Dh) = 0.6. Diameter hydraulic (Dh) elbow of 806 mm. In this study, the Reynolds number is measured based on the free flow velocity (U∞) inlet section, that is ReDh = 4.63x105. The experimental results showed the pressure drop is ΔCp = 1.46 for Re = 4.63x105. This difference in pressure value between the outer and inner (ΔCp) of the elbow ducting was caused by secondary flow. The secondary flow was observed through a horizontal velocity profile where at xi/Dh = 1.35, fluid flow was accelerated on the inner wall and decelerated on the outer wall of the ducting elbow. Then, at xi/Dh = 1.63 to xi/Dh = 2.01, there are gradual shifts of the velocity profile where the fluid flow is accelerated toward the outer wall.
