Abstract

Stunting is a global problem faced by the world and often occurs in children aged 3 – 5 years. The negative impact that will be caused by stunting in the 3-5 year age period in the long term is the disruption of children's psychosocial and motoric development. This study aims to see the relationship between motor and psychosocial development with stunting in preschool children (3 – 5 years) at the Baluse Health Center, Sigi Regency. The research design used was a cross-sectional study that assessed the relationship between motor and psychosocial development and stunting in preschool children (aged 3 – 5 years). The population used in this study were all preschool children (aged 3 – 5 years) with stunting in the Puskemas Baluse. The number of samples was 25 respondents who met the criteria for the research sample. The research was carried out at the Baluse Health Center, Sigi Regency from October 5 to 20, 2020. The research instrument used a questionnaire to measure the motoric and psychosocial development of children, while the measurement of stunting used microtoise and children's scales. The closeness and strength of the relationship between the two variables in this study used the Chi-Square statistical test. The results showed that most of the motor and psychosocial developments were in the abnormal category. The test of the relationship between motor and psychosocial development and stunting was carried out using the Chi-Square statistical test. The results showed that the P-value = 0.016 is smaller than the alpha value of 0.05, this indicates that stunting has a significant relationship with the motoric and psychosocial development of children. This study concludes that stunting has a relationship with motor and psychosocial development of children aged 3 – 5 years. Stunting children mostly have an abnormal motor and psychosocial development.

Currently, TB (tuberculosis) is one of the risk factors for a person to be susceptible to being infected with COVID-19. The aim of the study was to determine the factors that influence medication adherence in TB (tuberculosis) patients during the Covid-19 pandemic at the LabuangBaji Hospital, Makassar. The research design used in this study is descriptive analytic research using a cross sectional study design. To determine the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable using joint measurements, the population is 128 people. respondents, the measuring instrument for measuring data is using a questionnaire. There is an influence between the knowledge variable about TB disease (tuberculosis) on the adherence to treatment of TB patients (tuberculosis) during the covid-19 pandemic at LabuangBaji Hospital Makassar showing a value (0.005 < 0.05), There is an influence between the variables of family support on treatment adherence TB patients (tuberculosis) during the covid-19 pandemic at LabuangBaji Hospital Makassar showed a value (0.003 < 0.05), There was an influence between the anxiety variable on adherence to treatment for TB patients (tuberculosis) during the covid-19 pandemic, LabuangBaji Hospital Makassar showed a value (0.001 < 0.05). There is an influence between knowledge of TB disease (tuberculosis), family support, anxiety and adherence to treatment for TB patients during the covid-19 pandemic at LabuangBaji Hospital Makassar.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is an acute neurological function disorder caused by a sudden disturbance of cerebral blood circulation (within a few seconds) or quickly (within a few hours) symptoms and signs arise according to the focal area in the brain that is disturbed. This occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain stops. The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016 said that stroke was ranked second as a non-communicable disease that caused death. Stroke is also the third leading cause of disability worldwide. The prevalence of stroke in Indonesia based on the diagnosis of health workers or symptoms is 7% and increased in 2018 by 10.9%. Problems related to immobilization conditions in stroke patients are stated as nursing diagnoses. The main nursing diagnosis in accordance with the problem of immobilization in stroke patients is impaired physical mobility. One form of physiotherapy to restore muscle strength is Range Of Motion (ROM). Research Objectives: To determine the management of ROM and rubber ball grip exercises in stroke patients with impaired physical mobility. Research Methods: This is a literature study that summarizes several theoretical references and journals related to the theme. Results: From the eight articles, it showed that there was an effect on increasing muscle strength after ROM exercises and hand-held exercises with rubber balls. Conclusion: From these eight articles, it was shown that ROM exercises and hand-held exercises with rubber balls were effective in increasing muscle strength in stroke patients.

Abstract

Cardiac arrest is a major cause of death in the world, with an estimated 17.9 million people dying each year in 2019. Several factors can influence the ability of helpers to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the ability of nurses to carry out cardiopulmonary resuscitation at Labuang Baji Hospital Makassar. This study used a descriptive-analytic method with a cross-sectional approach, with a total sample of 31 people in the ICU and Baji Ateka Care room at Labuang Baji Hospital Makassar. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the level of education (p-value = 0.004), tenure (p-value = 0.001), training attended (p-value = 0.017), knowledge (p-value = 0.004) with the ability of nurses to carry out Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The study concludes that there is a relationship between the level of education, length of service, training, and knowledge with the ability of nurses to carry out CPR in the ICU and Baji Ateka Care room at Labuang Baji Hospital, Makassar, it is hoped that the results of this study can improve the skills of nurses in carrying out CPR correctly so that patients with a cardiac arrest can be helped properly.
