Abstract

The amount of waste in Tasikmalaya City that can be transported to the Ciangir Final Disposal Site is only around 61 percent. Households can play a role in supporting reducing rubbish or waste by processing it into useful items, including processing organic waste into organic fertilizer. However, making organic fertilizer must be in accordance with the recommended procedures so that it does not have a negative effect on plants, so it is necessary to carry out Community Service. Regarding the management of household organic waste into organic fertilizer to improve the function of the yard as a family food producer. Teh Community service was implemented using counseling and training methods from May to November 2023 for the Women's Farmer Group, namely Kusari and Sauyunan located in Cigintung, Sumelap Village, Tamansari District, as well as women from the Dharma Wanita Association at Siliwangi University, Tasikmalaya. From the results of the activities, it can be concluded that household waste that is managed well will provide economic, social and environmental benefits and vice versa. Well-managed organic household waste will become organic fertilizer which can be applied to plant cultivation in the yard so that the yard is more productive as a provider of family food while providing social and ecological benefits. Abstrak Sampah di Kota Tasikmalaya yang dapat diangkut ke Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Ciangir baru sekitar 61 persen. Rumah tangga dapat berperan dalam mendukung mengurangi sampah atau limbah dengan mengolahnya menjadi barang yang bermanfaat diantaranya mengolah limbah organik menjadi pupuk organik.. Namun pembuatan pupuk organik harus sesuai dengan prosedur yang disarankan agar tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap tanaman maka perlu dilakukan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) tentang pengelolaan limbah organik rumah tangga menjadi pupuk organik untuk peningkatan fungsi pekarangan sebagai penghasil pangan keluarga. PkM dilaksanakan menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan dari bulan Mei sampai November 2023 terhadap Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) yaitu KWT Kusari dan Sauyunan yang berlokasi di Kampung Cigintung Kelurahan Sumelap Kecamatan Tamansari serta ibu-ibu Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Universitas Siliwangi Tasikmalaya. Dari hasil kegiatan PkM dapat disimpulkan bahwa limbah rumah tangga yang dikelola dengan baik akan memberikan manfaat ekonomis, sosial dan lingkungan serta sebaliknya. Limbah rumah tangga organik yang terkelola dengan baik akan menjadi pupuk organik yang dapat diaplikasikan pada budidaya tanaman di pekarangan sehingga pekarangan lebih produktif sebagai penyedia bahan pangan keluarga sekaligus memberikan manfaat sosial dan ekologi.

Abstract

Porasi is a fermented organic manure which can provide nutrients for plants in a short time. Theapplication of biological fertilizer (M-Bio) to the soil provides good nutrient fixing microbes for thesoil and plants. This research aimed to determine the effect of a combination of porasi and biologicalfertilizer (M-Bio) on the cultivation of cayenne pepper plants. Research using Randomized BlockDesign (RBD) one factor consisting of five treatments repeated five times. The combination oftreatments used A (without porasi 0 t/ha and without M-Bio), B (Porasi 8 t/ha + Biological fertilizers(M- Bio) 1,5 ml/L), C (Porasi 12 t/ha + Biological fertilizers (M-Bio) 3 ml/L), D (Porasi 16 t/ha +Biological fertilizers (M-Bio) 4,5 ml/L), and E (Porasi 20 t/ha + Biological fertilizers (M- Bio) 6 ml/L).The results showed that the dose combination of porasi 20 t/ha + biological fertilizer (M-Bio) 6 ml/Lobtained growth and good results in the cultivation of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frustescens L.)varieties of Bara

Abstract

One of the efforts that can be made to increase the yield of red chili plants is by providing nutrients, one of which is the supply of organic fertilizers such as poration. Poration is fermented organic matter using bioactivators / bio-fertilizers M-Bio which functions to fertilize the soil and increase plant growth and yield. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best poration dose for palm waste and chicken manure for growth and yield of red chilies. This research was conducted from July to December 2020, at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Siliwangi University, Mugarsari Village, Tamansari District, Tasikmalaya City with an altitude of 374 meters above sea level. This research was conducted with an experimental method using a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The results of this study indicate that the measurement of poration of palm waste and chicken manure has an effect on the growth and yield of chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.).

Abstract

The moringa plant, often called a miracle tree, has long been valued for its medicinal and industrial uses. This community service project aimed to educate students at the Murottalul Quran Al Muminun Islamic boarding school and residents of Cilembang about the benefits of moringa, focusing on its cultivation and processing into nutritious, high-value moringa tea. The program sought to improve health, boost local economies, and encourage better use of natural resources. Activities included training on moringa cultivation, tea production, and ongoing evaluation. The project aimed to optimize vacant land use, enhance community health, support environmental sustainability, and create new economic opportunities in Cilembang, Tasikmalaya.

Abstract

Minyak kelapa murni (VCO) sering kali masih asing di telinga masyarakat umum, padahal VCO memiliki berbagai manfaat bagi kesehatan dan pengembangan ekonomi. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan pembuatan minyak kelapa murni (VCO) dilakukan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam mengolah kelapa yang menghasilkan produk untuk meningkatkan kesehatan dan keterampilan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk mencegah penyakit yang umumnya terjadi di masyarakat, seperti obesitas kolesterol, dan mengembangkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah kelapa menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, VCO memiliki khasiat yang baik untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh serta mencegah obesitas dan kolesterol. Selain itu, ketersediaan kelapa yang mudah didapatkan menjadikan hal ini sebagai potensi yang baik untuk dikembangkan sebagai pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat. Pelatihan dan sosialisasi pembuatan VCO ini dilakukan di Desa Cilembang, Kecamatan Cihideung, Kota Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Hasil dari pelatihan pembuatan VCO ini, masyarakat sangat antusias untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan baru dan keterampilan yang berharga tentang pengolahan kelapa menjadi produk kesehatan dalam bentuk VCO dan produk yang bernilai jual tinggi untuk pengembangan ekonomi masyarakat. Kata kunci: Virgin Coconut Oil, Kelapa, Fermentasi, Ibu PKK, Kelurahan Cilembang ABSTRACT Virgin coconut oil (VCO) is often unfamiliar to the general public, even though VCO has various benefits for health and economic development. Community service in the form of training in making virgin coconut oil (VCO) is carried out to assist the community in processing coconut, which produces products to improve health and community skills. This community service activity is carried out to prevent diseases that generally occur in the community, such as cholesterol obesity, and develop community skills in processing coconut into products with high economic value. Based on the research results, VCO has good properties to increase the body's immunity and prevent obesity and cholesterol. In addition, the easy availability of coconut makes this a good potential to be developed as a community economic empowerment. The training and socialization of VCO production was conducted in Cilembang Village, Cihideung District, Tasikmalaya City, West Java. As a result of this VCO-making training, the community is very enthusiastic to gain new knowledge and valuable skills about processing coconut into health products in the form of VCO and high-value products for community economic development.
