Abstract

AbstrakBerdasarkan hasil observasi ditemukan masalah yaitu mahasiswa sulit melakukan pemecahan masalah dalam berkomunikasi pada saat pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran creative problem solving terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi pada mata kuliah public relationdi perguruan tinggi kesehatan. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu. Variabel independen adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dan model pembelajaran langsung. Variabel dependen adalah kompetensi pemecahan masalah mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi yang diperoleh setelah mengikuti serangkaian tes hasil belajar terhadap pembelajaran yang dieksperimenkan. Teknik sampelpurposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 60 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan pemberian tes dan non tes menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai t hitung (4,95) > t tabel (1,68) artinya ada perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi menggunakan model pembelajaran creative problem solving. Kesimpulannya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran creative problem solving terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi pada matakuliah public relation.Kata Kunci:creative problem solving, public relation, komunikasiAbstractBased on observations found that the problem is that students find it difficult to solve problems in communication while learning. This study aims to determine the effect of creative problem solving learning models on students' problem solving abilities in communicating on public relations subjects in health colleges. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The independent variable is the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model and the direct learning model. The dependent variable is the problem solving competence of students in communication that is obtained after taking a series of tests of learning outcomes towards the learning being experimented. Purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 60 people. Data collection techniques by providing tests and non-tests using the t test. The results showed that the value of t arithmetic (4.95)> t table (1.68) means that there are differences in students' problem solving abilities in communicating using creative problem solving learning models. The conclusion is that there is an influence of the creative problem solving learning model on students' problem solving skills in communicating in public relations subjects.Keywords:creative problem solving, public relation, communication
