Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi madu sebagai prebiotik dalam pakan komersial dan pakan berupa pasta jeroan ikan patin terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan benih ikan gabus (Channa striata). Dalam penelitian ini, madu dicampurkan ke pakan dengan metode coated dengan dosis 0,6% (A) dan pasta jeroan ikan patin (B). Ikan dengan bobot tubuh awal 2,25-2,75 g dipelihara di tiga kolam dengan total 6 jaring hapa ukuran 1x1x1 (m3) (20 ekor / jaring hapa), yaitu 2 jaring hapa ditempatkan di setiap kolam. Dengan demikian dapat terwakili setiap ulangan perlakuan di setiap kolam. Ikan diberi pakan perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan selama 28 hari. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup, laju pertumbuhan harian dan tingkat pertambahan bobot tubuh tertinggi didapatkan pada kelompok ikan gabus yang mengkonsumsi pakan berupa pasta jeroan patin, masing-masing sebesar 100%, 2,7% dan 130%. Kelompok ikan gabus yang mengkonsumsi pakan komersial mengandung prebiotik madu menghasilkan tingkat kelangsungan hidup, laju pertumbuhan harian dan tingkat pertambahan bobot tubuh terendah, masing-masing sebesar 5%, 0,65% dan 20%. Sifat kanibal ekstrem menjadi penyebab tingkat kelangsungan hidup paling rendah.

Abstract

The aim of this research is (1) to develop diversification of fish as food into healthy processed foods with nutrition, and (2) to create processed fish products as an alternative local food. This research was carried out from August to September 2021. The implementation and testing of the organoleptic properties of the samples was carried out at the Fishery Product Processing Technology Laboratory, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Palangka Raya and chemical testing was carried out at the Palangka Raya Goods Quality Testing and Certification Center. The result of this research (1) diversification of processed local food from snakehead fish (Channa striata) and kalakai (Stenochlaena palustris) has resulted in processed kalakai snakehead fish nuggets that are preferred, which completed the nutritional value and meet the quality requirements. (2) Kalakai snakehead fish nuggets could be used as an alternative to local food with local raw materials that are easily available and could fulfill the nutrition during the Covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan suplemen organik cair yang berbeda pada media ampas tahu terhadap produktivitas BSF maggot. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu perlakuan A (tanpa penambahan suplemen organik cair), perlakuan B (1% suplemen organik cair/kg media tanam), perlakuan C (2% suplemen organik cair/kg media budidaya), perlakuan D (3% suplemen organik cair/kg media budidaya). Parameter yang diamati adalah pertumbuhan, efisiensi konversi pakan tidak tercerna (ECD), indeks pengurangan limbah (WRI), dan produktivitas BSF maggot. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis varians (ANOVA) dan untuk menentukan perlakuan terbaik menggunakan uji lanjutan berupa uji Duncan dengan taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan suplemen organik cair yang berbeda pada media ampas tahu berpengaruh nyata terhadap produktivitas BSF maggot. Penambahan suplemen organik cair terbaik pada media ampas tahu terhadap produktivitas maggot bsf sebanyak 3%/kg media budidaya memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan jika dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya.

Abstract

BSF maggots (Hermetia illucens) also have quite high nutritional content, making BSF maggots able to be used as feed for fish. Maggot BSF works to convert organic waste into simpler biomass. Organic waste from agricultural waste is a medium for maggot enlargement that can be used as feed. Agricultural organic waste in Indonesia is available in quite large quantities. The types of waste that can be used as cultivation media are tofu waste and palm oil cake waste.  This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of fermented palm oil cake with natural organic decomposer and tofu waste on the growth rate of Maggot BSF (Hermetia illucens). The method used in this research is the experimental method using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The factors studied were the combination of fermented palm oil cake with natural organic decomposer and tofu waste on the growth of Maggot BSF which consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely A (100% fermented palm oil cake); B (75% fermented palm oil + 25% tofu dregs); C (50% fermented palm oil + 50% tofu dregs); D (25% fermented palm oil + 75% tofu waste). Parameters observed were BSF maggot length and weight growth, digested feed conversion efficiency (ECD), waste reduction index (WRI), BSF maggot productivity.  Data used is Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and to determine the best treatment using a follow-up test in the form of Duncan's test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the combination of fermented palm oil cake with different natural organic decomposers and tofu dregs had a significant effect on the productivity of BSF maggots. The best combination of fermented palm oil cake with natural organic decomposer and tofu waste on the growth rate of Maggot BSF is 100% fermented palm oil cake which has a significant effect when compared to other treatments.
