Abstract

Negeri van Oranje by Wahyuningtyas and Diary Buruh Migran by Arsya Kirana is a literature work that shows the main character’s struggle in a foreign country. Based on both novel, this research is aim for (1) describing the nationalism of the main character on novel titled Negeri Van Oranje by Wahyuningtyas and novel titled Diary Buruh Migran by Arsya Kirana, and also (2) describing the impact of the character of nationalism on other figures inside novel titled Negeri Van Oranje by Wahyuningtyas and novel titled Diary Buruh Migran by Arsya Kirana. This research using descriptive approach with qualitative type. Analysis result shows there is an existence five sub values of national characterism, pervade social care, hard work, high curiosity, care for living, and loves the motherland. One of them is care for living not founded on novel titled Diary Buruh Migran by Arsya Kirana, that’s create a primacy for novel titled Negeri van Oranje by Wahyuningtyas. Overall, character of nationalism has an impact on other characters in the story, which involve cognitive components, affective components, and conative components.

Abstract

This research is a case study at Muhammadiyah 2 Middle School in Batu. The results of the interviews and questionnaires showed that the teachers had difficulty in making learning media when using a contextual approach. This is due to the teacher's limited ability to utilize learning media. Therefore, this study offers a solution to the use of contextual media based on the social environment that can be used by teachers to teach material that must be associated with everyday life. The solution offered is the use of visual learning media in the form of photos relating to community social activities and audio-visual learning media in the form of videos related to changes in the social behavior of the community. PENERAPAN MODEL LINGKARAN SASTRADAN PEDAGOGI REFLEKTIF DALAMMENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGAPRESIASI SASTRA Purwati AnggrainiProgram Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra IndonesiaUniversitas Muhammadiyah Malangpoer1979ang@gmail.com Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran lingkaran sastra dan pedagogi reflektif sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam mengapresiasi karya sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan penyebaran angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model lingkaran sastra dan pedagogi reflektif meningkatan kemampuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam mengapresiasi karya sastra. Mahasiswa menjadi lebih aktif dan kritis dalam proses pembelajaran apresiasi sastra. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga mampu menuliskan hasil apresiasi sastra dalam bentuk artikel maupun karya sastra dan media pembelajaran yang dapat dipergunakan mahasiswa untuk media presentasi. Beberapa mahasiswa mempublikasikan artikel apresiasi sastra ke dalam media massa.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, lingkaran sastra, pedagogi reflektif, pengetahuan, keterampilan.Abstract: This study describes the application of literary circle and pedagogy reflective learning models as an effort to improve the ability and skills of students in appreciating literature. It uses a qualitative descriptive design. The data were obtained through interviews, observation, and questionnaire. The results showed that the application of the literary circle and reflective pedagogy models improved the students’ ability and skills in appreciating literary works. They became more active in the learning process and critical appreciation of literature. In addition, they were also able to write literary appreciation results in the form of articles and literary works as well as learning media that could be used as the media for student presentation. Some students published their literary appreciation articles in the mass media.Key words: learning model, literary circle, reflective pedagogy, knowledge, skills

Abstract

Love and self-esteem are part of human needs as a form of self-existence. Attempts to reach and maintain love and self-esteem are reflected in the character's attitude. This study aims to describe the love needs and self-esteem needs of characters and how the characters behave in making it happen. The needs and behavior of characters in making it happen are closely related to literary psychology, so this study chooses literary psychology as its approach. This research used qualitative methods and was based on Abraham Maslow's theory. The data source was in the form of the novel Lengking Burung Kasuari by Nunuk Y. Kusmiana published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2017. The data of this research were quotations from story units. The data collection techniques of this research were (a) reading the object of study, (b) identifying the data according to the research objectives, and (c) classifying the data. While the data analysis techniques were as follows, (a) rechecking the data in accordance with the problem formulation, (b) describing the data, (c) interpreting the data, (d) drawing conclusions. The results of the research can be stated as follows. First, the need for love includes feelings of longing for, playing, and caring for friends. Second, forms of need for self-esteem include broad insight, promotion, and responsibility. Third, the character tries to realize the need for love, the need for price self as a form of self-existence.Cinta dan harga diri merupakan bagian dari kebutuhan manusia sebagai salah satu wujud eksistensi diri. Upaya untuk menggapai dan mempertahankan cinta dan harga diri tecermin dalam sikap tokoh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kebutuhan rasa cinta dan kebutuhan harga diri tokoh serta bagaimana perilaku tokoh dalam mewujudkannya. Kebutuhan dan perilaku tokoh dalam mewujudkannya terkait erat dengan psikologi sastra sehingga kajian ini memilih psikologi sastra sebagai pendekatannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan dilandaskan pada teori Abraham Maslow. Sumber data berupa novel Lengking Burung Kasuari Karya Nunuk Y. Kusmiana yang diterbitkan oleh PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama tahun 2017. Data penelitian ini adalah kutipan satuan cerita. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah (a) membaca objek kajian, (b) mengidentifikasi data sesuai tujuan penelitian, dan (c) mengelompokan data. Di samping itu, teknik analisis data sebagai berikut: (a) mengecek kembali data yang sesuai dengan rumusan masalah; (b) mendeskripsikan data; (c) menginterpretasikan data; dan (d) menarik simpulan. Hasil penelitian dapat dikemukakan sebagai berikut. Pertama, kebutuhan rasa cinta meliputi perasaan rindu, bermain, dan peduli pada teman. Kedua, bentuk kebutuhan harga diri meliputi wawasan luas, naik pangkat, dan tanggung jawab. Ketiga, tokoh berupaya mewujudkan kebutuhan rasa cinta, kebutuhan harga diri sebagai wujud eksistensi diri.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the problem of young people’s failure in politics found in Hapsari Hanggarini’s novel “Namaku Subardjo”. From the novel, data and object of the research was obtained. The data are in the forms of sentences or dialogues and story units that lead to the correlation between politics and youth. The theoretical foundation is Terry Eagleton's sociology of literature which emphasizes on political ideology. Steps of the research method are: 1) reading Hapsari Hanggarini’s novel “Namaku Subardjo” as a whole, 2) colleting data, 3) classifying the data, 4) analyzing and interpreting the data. The importance of the research is to show that young people must be able to play a role and understand politics in order to advance the Indonesian nation. The result of the research is the role of young people in politics for the sake of advancing the Indonesian nation. Therefore, the relationship between youth and politics is very close, as in the novel “Namaku Subardjo” of which, the main character as a young people began to move to build Indonesian politics. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan permasalahan kaum muda yang masih gagal dalam berpolitik yang terkandung dalam novel Namaku Subardjo karya Hapsari Hanggarini. Objek penelitian atau sumber data ialah novel Namaku Subardjo karya Hapsari Hanggarini. Data diperoleh dari kalimat atau dialog, dan satuan cerita yang mengarah pada korelasi politik dan kaum muda. Landasan teori yang diacu ialah sosiologi sastra Terry Eagleton yang menekankan pada ideologi politik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu: 1) membaca novel Namaku Subardjo karya Hapsari Hanggarini secara keseluruhan, 2) menginventarisasi data, 3) mengklasifikasikan data, 4) menganalisis data dan menginterprestasikan data. Pentingnya penelitian ialah untuk menunjukkan bahwa kaum muda harus mampu berperan dan memahami politik demi memajukan bangsa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ialah peran kaum muda dalam berpolitik sangat dibutuhkan oleh negara.  Oleh karena itu, hubungan antara kaum muda dan politik sangat erat, sama halnya dalam novel Namaku Subardjo, tokoh utama sebagai kaum muda mulai bergerak untuk membangun politik Indonesia.

Abstract

Representation of nationalism in Novel Kaki Langit Talumaea and its Development as a LearningMedia. This article aims to describe the character of Indonesian love of the main character in the novelKaki Langit Talumae as a material for the development of teaching materials of literary appreciation.This research is a qualitative research. Based on the analysis, there are several characters shown by themain characters, among whom love the homeland, hard work, democratic, curiosity, respect achievement,responsibility, social care, religious, creative, tolerance, the spirit of nationalism, love to read, and lovepeace. All the characters that appear is a form of Indonesian love character shown by the main character.Representation of characters of this main character can be used for the development of teaching materialsof Literature Appreciation courses, one of them is as a medium of learning.Key words: Indonesian love character, Kaki Langit Talumae, learning mediaAbstrakRepresentasi Karakter Cinta Indonesia dalam Novel Kaki Langit Talumae dan PengembangannyaSebagai Media Pembelajaran. Berdasarkan analisis, ada beberapa karakter yangditunjukkan oleh tokoh utama, di antaranya cinta tanah air, kerja keras, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu,menghargai prestasi, tanggung jawab, peduli sosial, religius, kreatif, toleransi, semangat kebangsaan,gemar membaca, dan cinta damai. Semua karakter yang muncul merupakan wujud karaktercinta Indonesia yang ditunjukkan oleh tokoh utama. Representasi karakter tokoh utama ini dapatdipergunakan untuk pengembangan bahan ajar mata kuliah Apresiasi Sastra, salah satunya adalahsebagai media pembelajaran.Kata-kata kunci: Karakter cinta Indonesia, Kaki Langit Talumae, media pembelajaran

Abstract

Penulisan novel dapat menyertakan berbagai hal di dunia nyata. Seperti halnya dalam karya sastra novel The Ultrasmart Holiday, pengarang menyertakan detail latar cerita atau disebut sebagai latar tipikal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan latar tipikal yang terdapat dalam novel The Ultrasmart Holiday karya Shely Kaydula. Latar tipikal yang dianalisis berfokus pada tempat yang memiliki nilai sejarah dan budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi strukturalisme objektif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan membaca dan menandai kutipan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat dua kota besar di Indonesia yang memiliki nilai sejarah dan budaya yang ditulis untuk menumbuhkan rasa nasionalis pada pembaca khususnya remaja di Indonesia. sejarah dan budaya yang dijelaskan oleh pengarang menunjukkan perjuangan masyarakat mempertahakankan negara dan kepercayaan masyarakat yang menjadikannya tetap berbudi luhur. Penyertaan latar tipikal dalam novel The Ultrasmart Holiday dapat menunjukkan tujuan utama pengarang, yaitu nasionalisme.
