Abstract

This research is to find out about: The influence of the module on student learning motivation in economic math courses, and Differences in learning motivation among students who use modules and PowerPoint (conventional). This research data was collected using closed questionnaires and questions to determine student responses regarding the use of modules, especially in experimental classes. And then analyzed it using t- test to determine the differences in student learning motivation before and after using module. From the results of statistical tests, it is known that the significance value is 0.000 and the tcount is 4.141, indicating a significant positive influence from the use of modules in learning economic mathematics. And it can be seen that the average value of learning motivation in the experimental class is higher than in the control class, namely 112.94 and 84.65 respectively. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded: The module has a positive effect on student learning motivation in the economic math course, and there are differences in learning motivation in students who use modules compared to PowerPoint (conventional) in economic math courses. Keywords: economic math; module; motivation to learn; and teaching materials.

Abstract

Bektiharjo Village is one of the southernmost villages in Semanding District, Tuban Regency. This village has potential in the agricultural and forestry sectors. In the agricultural sector, many people are corn farmers, while in forestry, people use it to find teak leaves to sell in the market as food wrappers. The environment in the Bektiharjo village area is mostly surrounded by teak tree plantations, which causes a lot of dry teak leaf waste to be found. So far, teak leaf waste has not been able to be utilized by the local community, so the trash has piled up and been burned by the community. From this problem, we have an innovation to process this waste into products that can later be used by the people of Bektiharjo village. Charcoal briquettes from teak leaves are one solution to overcome the problems faced by the Bektiharjo village community. So, community service through training on the use of teak leaf waste into charcoal briquette products in Bektiharjo village needs to be held. The implementation method used in this service is through training, field practice and evaluation. The results obtained from holding this service are increasing the knowledge of the Bektiharjo village community regarding processing organic waste into charcoal briquette products which can later be used by the community independently and the charcoal briquette products can also be marketed widely to increase the income of the Bektiharjo village community.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pendampingan dan pelatihan tentang pengolahan limbah daun jati menjadi briket arang dengan memanfaatkan teknologi ramah lingkungan berupa cetakan dari limbah rumah tangga dalam bentuk pipa paralon. Manfaat kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini, membuat para warga dapat melakukan pengolahan limbah daun jati menjadi briket arang dengan menggunakan alat yang sederhana yang bisa kita dapatkan dalam rumah tangga, selain itu warga juga berperan dalam menanggulangi limbah daun jati di desa Bektiharjo Kecamatan Semanding Kabupaten Tuban. Metode dalam Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini meliputi observasi awal, koordinasi dengan mitra (Kepala Desa Bektiharjo), persiapan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian. Hasil yang capai dalam Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini yaitu peserta sangat antusia, paham dan bisa cara membuat briket dari daun jati, selain itu warga juga diajarkan bagaimana cara membuat alat cetak briket secara sederhana dengan memanfaatkan limbah rumah tangga berupa pipa paralon. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini yaitu Dengan adanya Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Daun Jati Kering menjadi Briket Arang dengan Menggunakan Teknologi Alat Cetak Limbah Rumah Tangga di Desa Bektiharjo menjadi solusi dari pembuangan limbah yang menumpuk dan bisa menjadi peluang usaha yang mana bisa menambah pendapatan keluarga. Kata Kunci: Desa Bektiharjo, daun jati, briket arang, teknologi sederhana, kapasitas ekonomi
