Abstract

Abstract:The role the family must play in order to fulfill the expectations of themselves or others in the family. The elderly during post-stroke are in a critical phase of recovery. The purpose of this study was to describe the role of the family in meeting the daily needs of the post-stroke elderly.. The purpose of this study was to describe the role of families in fulfilling ADL in post-stroke elderly. The design of this study is a descriptive case study. This study used two family subjects who had family members suffering from post-stroke. This research was conducted on 7-12 January 2019. This research method was interview and observation. The results of the case studies obtained were that both subjects carried out their roles as motivators and family nurses. The conclusion of this study is that both families play a good role by obtaining a score of 43 and 39. Recommendations for future researchers are expected to conduct similar research, but examine other types of informal roles so that other actions can be taken by the family in fulfilling the ADL of post-stroke elderly.

Abstract

Benson relaxation combines relaxation response techniques and individual faith systems (focused on certain expressions of God's names, or words that have a calming meaning to the patient itself) that is repeated over and over with regular rhythms accompanied by resignation. Relaxation Benson is useful to overcome high blood pressure and heart irregularity if done with good technique and correct with the frequency of exercise with 10-15 minutes each time the exercise. This case study aims to identify blood pressure picture in elderly who have hypertension before and after doing benson relaxation therapy. This research method is Descriptive Case Study with subject subject as much as 2 subjects conducted on January 14 to January 27, 2018 with systole blood pressure> 140 mmHg and diastole <90 or> 90 mmHg. In subject I from the observation of the mean initial blood pressure 142/90 mmHg and the mean final blood pressure after ergonomic gym exercises 130/80 mmHg. While on the subject II average initial blood pressure before benson relaxation 146/90 mmHg and after the relaxation of the average benson 133/83 mmHg. The results of the case study found that after benson relaxation both subjects experienced a decrease in blood pressure. The recommendations of the study are regular benson relaxation exercises with good and correct technique capable of lowering blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension and suppressing the incidence of hypertension in the elderly.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently experiencing changes in the epidemiology of non-communicable diseases where stroke has undergone a demographic and technological transition, causing the age prevalence of stroke sufferers that previously suffered by people aged > 50 years now shifted to a young age. Increasing the available social support can be an important strategy in reducing or preventing mental distress and warding off post-stroke depression. The role of family and people around them to provide life support for stroke sufferers will be very meaningful. The purpose of this study was to describe the attractiveness of the Family Social Support Module for Stroke Patients with Attention to Local Wisdom in Malang. This study used a research and development method with a longitudinal research design. The results of this study were that the modules compiled by the researchers succeeded in changing family behavior in the social support of stroke sufferers and most of them stated that the module was good. Social support, especially from family, plays an active role in the patient's recovery. Family social support must be maintained properly, this will help stroke patients carry out activities independently and get strong family reasons as a supporting factor for the patient's recovery. Abstract

system keyakinan individu (difokuskan ungkapan tertentu seperti nama Tuhan, atau kata yang memiliki makna menenangkan bagi pasien) diucapkan berulang-ulang dengan ritme teratur disertai sikap pasrah. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran tekanan darah pada lansia yang mengalami hipertensi sebelum dan sesudah melakukan terapi relaksasi benson. Subjek dan Metode: Metode penelitian ini adalah eskriptif Studi Kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah lansia berjumlah 2 Responden yang dilakukan pada 14 Januari - 27 Januari 2018 pada tekanan darah systole >140 mmHg dan diastole <90 atau >90 mmHg. Hasil: Responden I hasil observasi rata-rata tekanan darah awal 142/90 mmHg dan rata-rata tekanan darah akhir setelah dilakukan senam ergonomik 130/80 mmHg. Responden II rata-rata tekanan darah awal sebelum dilakukan relaksasi benson 146/90 mmHg dan setelah dilakukan relaksasi benson rata-rata 133/83 mmHg. Hasil studi kasus yang didapat bahwa sesudah melakukan relaksasi benson kedua Responden penelitian mengalami penurunan tekanan darah. Keseimpulan: Latihan relaksasi benson yang teratur dengan teknik yang baik dan benar mampu menurunkan tekanan darah pada lansia dengan hipertensi dan menurunkan prevalensi hipertensi pada lansia.
