Abstract

English teaching quality is not distributed evenly throughout the region in Indonesia. The tendency is for students that live in big cities, they get more qualified English teaching than remote areas. In other side, Student who come from village are far from big city. Students expected that study at Health Education must have good English skill. It effects to Senior High School student unwilling to study at Health School because they have less skill in Basic English. Moreover, they didn’t have enough money to getting facilities to study more outside of school, although they need it. Finally their human resource capabilities are down. So, the Basic English skill need to improve to improve the human resource capability in the field of Englis.in this dedication, Basic English trainee will be given to students of MA Al-Istiqomah that need increasing of capacity. There are 8 meets by enjoyable studying, beside pretest and posttest. The result was English skill increase. But its need seriously study from the students so the English skill will be increase significantly. So English Trainee Program for students can help human resouces in English

Abstract

Students will successfully achieve their learning outcomes if they have a desire to learn. This desire is called motivation. A student's speech ability can be seen if the assessment techniques used are appropriate, because assessment is important in the learning process, especially speaking learning to know and understand students in the development of their skills or speaking skills. Objective: knowing the relationship between motivation and learning behavior with online methods to the perception of learning English proficiency in the covid-19 era in students level 3b and 3d Stikes Yatsi year 2020. Method: The method that researchers use is descriptive research of correlation. The selection of samples using the total sampling method is all Students level 3b and 3d at STIKes YATSI which amounted to 115 people. Data analysis is done using chi-square. Results: p-value in the relationship of motivation to the perception of learning English proficiency by 0.099 > 0.05 which means no relationship. While in learning behavior with online methods of learning perception of English speaking skills obtained p-value of 0.282 > 0.05 which means there is no relationship.Conclusion: students who have high learning motivation have the will to obtain good grades so as to achieve these goals students learn well and diligently.

Abstract

Based on preliminary study conducted at the Faculty of Health Sciences Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang, out of 10 people interviewed, 60% had low anxiety, 80% less confidence, and 70% less English speaking style. Research objectives : To find out whether there is a link between confidence and anxiety to the ability to  English speaking syle in students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang. Research methods : The type of research used is descriptive type of quantitative research. Sampling techniques using Total Sampling techniques with a total of 102 students / I at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang, data collection using questionnaires. Data analysis using frequency distribution or Univariate, Bivariate and Cross Sectional approaches. Results of the study : Based on the results of the Chi-Square test that p-value = 0.000 < 0.05, it is stated that Ha is accepted, meaning there is a relationship between confidence and anxiety about the ability to English speaking style in students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang.  Conclusions and suggestions : There is a link between confidence and anxiety about english speaking style in students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang. It is recommended for students to be able to make efforts to improve the quality of English by practicing english vocabulary a lot.

Abstract

Based on the preliminary study, the results of the research conducted by the researcher with 10 respondents showed that the aspects of learning motivation were 40% and 60% had less motivation. Research objectives to determine the relationship between motivation and activity on the ability to read English in students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University, Tangerang. Research Methods: This research is a quantitative research, with a descriptive correlation research design. This study uses a cross sectional approach, which is a research design that can be measured and tried only once. The instrument used is a questionnaire and the analytical test used is the chi square test and correlation. Based on the results of the chi square test analysis, based on the chi-square test that p-value = 0.000 <0.05, it can be stated that Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between motivation and English reading ability of students at Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang.

Abstract

English is very much needed in its field or work, both at home and abroad, because there are so many sources of information that we get from abroad. This type of research is descriptive without using a cross-sectional approach. With a total sample size of 126 respondents in grades 1 and 2 at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Istiqomah Tangerang Regency. The statistical test used is the Chi Square Test. Based on the chi-square test with 126 respondents, it was found that the p-value = 0.000 <0.05, it can be stated that Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between motivation and attitude with the ability to read English at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Istiqomah Tangerang 2020. The results of this study are that there is a relationship between motivation and the ability to read English and there is a relationship between attitudes and the ability to read English. Suggestions for further research are to look for relationships due to the effects of each of the variables studied, as well as to look for variables that affect between motivation and attitudes between reading skills in English.
