Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) are still the main problems in Indonesia's health development. AKI or Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is an indicator of women's health level that describes the level of access, integrity, and effectiveness of the health sector. Therefore MMR is used as an indicator of the level of welfare of a country. Ministry of Health, 2015). The goal of midwifery services for pregnant women is to get integrated and comprehensive services according to standards, should make at least six visits during the antenatal period, namely one visit during the first trimester, once during the second trimester, and twice during the third trimester, as well as two visits to specialists. pregnancy in the first and third trimesters. It is necessary to immediately check the pregnancy if there is a disturbance or if the fetus does not move for more than 12 hours (Rachman, 2021). Efforts made by the government to reduce IMR include: (a) improving Neonatal health services, namely by requiring that every newborn receive Neonatal Visit services at least 3 times (KN1, KN2, and KN3) according to standards. (b) Neonatal care with abnormalities or complications/emergencies according to health worker standards where services include Integrated Management of Young Babies (MTBM), Management of Newborn Asphyxia, and Management of Low Birth Weight Babies (Ministry of Health, 2015). Implementation of Integrated Pregnancy Nursing for Pregnant Women and Continuity Of Care for Neonates at the Medina Clinic Medan involving pregnant women and mothers with babies aged 0-28 days with a total of 20 people January 16-February 16 2023 at the Medina Clinic Jalan Datuk Kabu Pasar 3 Tembung, integrated pregnancy nursing activities for pregnant women are carried out in stages. The stages carried out include screening pregnant women with cadres. Then it is planned for the final examination of pregnant women to provide health education on the problems found. Furthermore, continuity of care activities when the baby is 6-48 hours old (KN 1), 3-7 days (KN II), and 8-28 (KN III). Providing care during neonatal visits is carried out to monitor growth, and development, monitor the fulfillment of asah, compassion, and care needs, and monitor danger signs

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from children to adults. Adolescence lasts from the age of 15-20 years. Developmental changes that occur during adolescence include physical, psychological and psychosocial development (Gainau, 2021). Adolescent girls experience secondary sexual signs in the form of widening of the hips, breast growth, hair growth around the genitals and armpits, as well as growth of the uterus and vagina (Sarwono, 2016). Breast self-examination or what is known as BSE, is a form of early detection prevention effort whose implementation procedure can be carried out by each individual woman more easily in order to find symptoms or signs related to breast cancer, for example; lump in the breast (Sari P, Sayuti S, Ridwan M, Rekiaddin LO, 2020). This community service activity takes the form of outreach about breast self-examination (BSE) to young women in Pulo Peding village, Babussalam District, Southeast Aceh Regency. This activity was attended by 30 participants with the aim of increasing teenagers' knowledge about BSE. The results of this activity were an increase in teenagers' knowledge before and after being given socialization, namely from an average knowledge score of 50 to 80. It is hoped that this activity can be useful for young women and doing BSE regularly to detect breast cancer early.

Abstract

Period most vulnerable to experiencing reproductive health problems such as early pregnancy, unsafe abortion which can cause the death of mother and child, depression, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), sexual harassment, infertility, and malignancies such as cervical cancer. Adolescents begin to focus on behavior that is associated with adult status, namely smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs, and engaging in promiscuous sexual acts which are quite disturbing. Community Service "Reproductive Health Socialization as an Effort to Improve the Healthy and Excellent Lifestyle of Adolescents in Tuah Mesade Village was held on 9-11 February 2024 with a total of 30 participants. Socialization is provided by the community service team regarding the introduction of male and female reproductive organs, how to care for reproductive organs, nutrition in reproductive health, and sexually transmitted infections. The extension participants seemed enthusiastic about the materials presented by the resource persons and were able to be actively involved, so this extension activity took place in a two-way system and many participants asked questions. The presentation of the counseling material was followed by discussion, ice breaking, and distribution of door prizes in the form of a book with the title "Teaching Book on Nutrition in Reproductive Health" to participants who were active during the discussion activities.

Abstract

Complementary therapies are a group of different medical and healthcare systems, practices, and products that are not generally part of conventional medicine. The role of the midwife as a promotive, preventive agent for health is required to be responsive and innovative in dealing with situations. Professionalism in handling is highly demanded in dealing with problems during pregnancy. midwives are authorized to monitor the growth and development of infants through early detection and stimulation of growth and development. One form of stimulation that has been carried out by the community is massage. Complementary midwifery care that can be implemented for pregnant women includes pregnancy birth ball exercises, baby massage, or baby massage. This community service will be held at the Pratama Salbiyana Clinic in Medan from 15 January to 16 February 2023 at the Pratama Salbiyana Clinic in Medan, Jalan Kebun Sayur Raya Pasar 9 Dusun 6a, Manunggal Village, Labuhan Deli District, Arah Marelan. Participants in this community service activity are midwives, pregnant women, and mothers with babies aged 2-6 months.
