The data collection in this qualitative research uses the listening and proficient method, while the content analysis method is used to analyze the data. This study uses the expert triangulation method to test the validity of the data, namely researchers, teachers and students filling in the data generated by the data card based on the feasibility of the text book. The results of this study indicate the feasibility of textbooks in terms of language and content. The language and content scores are 56.3 and 51.9, so they are still not feasible. Both aspects need to be improved so that this textbook is suitable for both teachers and students.

Abstract

Reading, writing and storytelling are much discussed these days. Either based on the Indonesian government's priority program for accelerating the globalization of technology, or as a space for academic and practical conversations across central and regional education. The problem becomes a problem as more and more solutions are applied by previous research, therefore, it became necessary to search for the latest gap to find a gap as a research differentiation with previous research, especially regarding reading, writing and storytelling. Thus, the problem in this investigation is the necessity of a positive narrative of reading, writing, and storytelling that needs to be re-expressed through narrative and then criticized based on field findings. This research method uses a qualitative method with data search through interviews and literature sources as primary and secondary sources. The results showed that the three narratives, namely Pigytpught, Ydkosktep and Ykchaefctkcha, tell about problems as well as empty spaces in reading, writing and storytelling from the context of Central Kalimantan as a user of one of the government programs related to reading, writing and storytelling

Abstract

This research is motivated by differences in people's beliefs regarding the Pamali (taboo) tradition, which is considered by some groups to represent wisdom, but by as a type of superstition that must be avoided. This results in the Pamali tradition beginning to be marginalised from modern life. However, in the Kampung Naga, one of the villages in Indonesia , the tradition is still maintained in the practice of religion and modernisation. The paper aims to analyse Pamali utterances based on the perspective of semiotic theory and their relationship with the religiosity of the Kampung Naga indigenous community. The qualitative research uses an phenomenological design that applies linguistic theory as an analytical tool. It was found that according to the theory of meaning, Pamali utterances are based on the relevance of the relationship between sign, referent, and interpretant. Pamali is interpreted as taboo by society, and therefore people do not violate it. The content of the message in Pamali utterances is in harmony with the content of the Islamic message, so the reflection is a crystallisation of the religious teachings adhered to by the village people.
