Abstract

Onion's frying increase more delicious of fried rice, fried noodle etc. Sometimes onion's farmers have some problem, one of their problem is low price onion's product. Better they sliced their onions and fry it in order to have more economic of their product. lf the slicing process use engine, so this engine will help them to increase the slicing onion's product. Base on cutter rotor rotation is 200 rpm, research would like to know the effective of capacity and cutter angle with variables diameter is small up to big. The result of this research are : the capacity of small onions'diameter is (0.063 + 0.0016). 102 kg/sec. For middle diameter (r < o< 2.5 cm)is (0.04g t o.ooi+). 10 kg/sec. For big diameter (O> 2.5 cm) is (0.032 + 0.0019). t0-2 kg/sec. Ail of thesecapacity based on rotor's speed is 200 rpm and the cutter angle is 4o and slicing onion is a good thickness for fried onions.

Abstract

Turbo Jet SPEY 555-15 is Rolls Royce's production, which is used by Concord Air Plane. This  engine  has external  flowing  by-poss channel  with twin spool axial compressor ond be moved by coaxial turbine shaft. This engine has four low pressure stages and twelve high pressure stages compressor to supply the high energy of air in order to have high internal  combustion energy in combustion chaiber, This research would like to know the influence of rotation (rpm) to fuel consumption and trust of theengine. The result  of this research have indicated that increasing of rotations will cause increasing fuel consumption and trust  but for fuel  consumption (FC) will decrease up to 5089 rpm. Fuel consumption (FC)  will be constant if the speed more than 5089  rpm more than 8501 rpm,  the fuel consumption and trust utill be effective.

Abstract

The Simplest welding is Butt Flash welding, because without metals filler to connect each other of base metal. But it use highest electric current to be melting the area surface which will be connected. After sheet sleel have been connected, this result of welding will be rolled ond rolled again. Sometimes this connecting sheet steel cut out because.forming strength of welding decrease. Because this reason, research would like to know the forming strength base on accelcration, voltage and velocity parameter. Theresult of this research are 6/24 mm/sec'; 7,86 volt; 16/24 mm/sec, will produce high forming strength.

Abstract

Purnajiwa, which lives in highland jungles in Bali, is a famous medicinal plant in Bali and its presence in the wild is now under threat due to over exploitation and the destruction of its habitat. Batukahu nature reserves are one of its remaining habitats. This preliminary study aimed to describe purnajiwa’s habitat in Batukahu nature reserves. Purnajiwa was found in shaded areas with light intensity range from 55-65%. It grows under the shading of Laportea sp., Ficus sp., Syzygium zollingerianum, and Sauraria sp. Purnajiwa grows on soil with 6,7-6,8 range of pH with litter thickness of 3-7 cm. Purnajiwa also associated with the surrounding understorey vegetation such as Diplazium proliferum (IVI = 54,6) and Oplismenus compositus L. (IVI = 40). Result from this study gave usefull information for the purpose of its acclimatization and propagation in ex-situ conservation for its sustainable resources.

Abstract

Forest fire in 1994 has destroyed some areas in Pohen’s hill Batukahu nature reserve. Ecological restoration is needed to be initiated. To gain information on vegetation condition needed to design a suitable restoration model a field survey was conducted. Result showed that secondary succession is progressing in this area. Pioneer species such as Eupatorium, Melastoma and Homalathus were found here. Local species (Dacrycarpus imbricatus) that has an important value was also found escaped from the severe forest fire. An integrated restoration concept is proposed to help initiating the ecosystem rehabilitation.
