Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bahaya dan mengevaluasi risiko di lingkungan laboratorium kimia dasar di Institut Teknologi Kalimantan serta memberikan rekomendasi pengendalian risiko. Laboratorium ini memiliki peran penting dalam pendidikan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep dasar kimia dan mengembangkan keterampilan praktis. Namun, aktivitas di laboratorium juga membawa potensi bahaya yang dapat membahayakan keselamatan mahasiswa dan staf. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan observasional dan analitis. Pendekatan observasional digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya, menilai risiko, dan mengevaluasi risiko yang terkait dengan bahaya-bahaya tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beragam bahaya di laboratorium, termasuk bahaya fisik, kimia, biologis, ergonomi. Analisis risiko menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar bahaya memiliki risiko tinggi. Oleh karena itu, rekomendasi pengendalian risiko diusulkan, termasuk perubahan dalam pengaturan area kerja, penggunaan peralatan pelindung diri, dan prosedur inspeksi yang lebih ketat. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang bahaya dan risiko di laboratorium kimia dasar serta langkah-langkah konkret untuk meningkatkan keselamatan di lingkungan tersebut. Implementasi rekomendasi ini diharapkan akan mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman dan lebih baik bagi semua yang terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran dan penelitian di laboratorium kimia dasar. Abstract

The compressive strength of concrete is also influenced by the concrete surface itself (capping factor). The capping factor significantly affects the quality values of 15 cm x 30 cm concrete cylinders. In its application, it is expected that we can determine the comparison of concrete compressive strength tests using sulfur capping and lime capping, which is currently uncertain. Therefore, the proof of concrete quality strength with sulfur capping and lime capping for normal concrete with a quality of F'c 25 requires testing the compressive strength values using the UTM Controls machine in the Integrated Laboratory of ITK. The compressive strength testing of concrete quality will be conducted for each sample, consisting of 2 samples each with added sulfur capping and the use of lime capping at the age 14 days, and 28 days. Meanwhile, the mix design for concrete uses the SNI method. The test results show that sulfur capping experiences an increase of 0.19%, while when concrete uses lime capping, there is an increase of 0.7%. Keywords: capping, concrete lime, sulfur

Abstract

The Flay Ash and Bottom ash (FABA) used are derived from the Balikpapan Power Plant. Chemical activation was carried out using a base treatment with NaOH concentrations of 0 and 6 M mixed with FABA at a ratio of 10 mL solution per 1 gram of ash at a temperature of 160°C and then the mixture was dried under neutral conditions at 100°C for 4 hours. The activated FABA was then applied in the treatment of laundry waste. The verification of anionik surfactant parameters in the laundry wastewater samples was conducted based on the MBAS (Methylene Blue Active Substances) method using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer, were in accordance with the SNI 06-6989.51-2005 standard at a wavelength of 652 nm.The results was indicated by the value R2=0.9981 and the value of r=0.9990, equivalent to 99.9%. The limit of detection (LOD) value was determined to be 0.56082 mg/L, while the smallest measurable concentration limit (LOQ) was 1.86941. The precision level measured by %RSD was 0.08965%, which is less than 2/3 of the maximum Horwitz %CV value of 7.82018%. The test data indicates good precision results. The concentration of anionik surfactant also experienced a significant decrease in the case of Flay Ash 6 M. Keywords: bottom ash, flay ash, laundry, surfactant
