<![CDATA[ABSTRAKKajian ini membahas pentingnya Jaminan Perlindungan Hukum sebagai prinsip Profesionalitas dosen dalam Pengembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi berkaitan dengan kedudukan dosen, perlindungan kreasi dan inovasi serta kompetensi dalam pelaksanaan tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah yuridis normatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Jaminan Perlindungan Hukum sebagai Prinsip Profesionalitas Dosen Dalam Pengembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi meliputi (1) Perlindungan terhadap kedudukan dosen sebagai tenaga profesional berdasarkan UU No 14 Tahun 2005 Tentang Guru dan Dosen; (2) Perlindungan atas kreasi dan inovasi yang dihasilkan dosen berdasarkan UU tentang Kekayaan Intelektual; dan (3) Perlindungan atas kompetensi yang diperlukan sesuai dengan bidang tugas dalam pelaksanaan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi berdasarkan Ketentuan tentang sertifikasi tenaga pendidik (dosen) dan renumerasi kelebihan beban kerja. Jaminan Perlindungan Hukum tersebut dapat meningkatkan kinerja Dosen yang bersangkutan, sehingga mendorong perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi. ABSTRACTThis study discusses the importance of Legal Protection Guarantees as the principle of professionalism of lecturers in the Development of Science and Technology relating to the position of lecturers, protection of creations and innovations and competencies in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education.The research method used is a normative juridical approach, the research phase is carried out through literature studies and data collection techniques are carried out through document studies. The results showed that guarantee legal protection as a principle of professionalism Lecturer in the Development of Science and Technology include (1) Protection of the position of the lecturers as professionals based on Law Number 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers; (2) Protection of the creations and innovations produced lecturers based on the Law on Intellectual Property; and (3) Protection of the necessary competence in accordance with the task in the implementation of the three responsibilities of Higher Education based on the provisions concerning the certification of teachers (lecturers).
