Abstract

As a future generation, a child should be given education and skills as early as possible, one kind of which is emotional intelligence comprising 1) moral emotion, 2) emotion of thinking skill, 3) problem solving, 4) social skill, 5) self motivation and skill to get achievement and 6) emotion strength. The method used is playing games, because through games children learn how to think, feel, take action and share with others.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the model parenting, teenage emotional intelligence level, and models of care that tend to be positively and negatively affect adolescent emotional intelligence. Subjects were high school students Makassar. Samples were students of SMAN 3, 4, 5, 12, National High School and High School PGRI totaled 353 students. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential techniques through Amos and SPSS programs. The results showed: (1) in general adolescents in the city of Makassar have emotional intelligence in the category is quite high, especially in the aspect of recognizing emotions, empathy, and self-motivation; (2) patterns applied pengsuhan parents are more likely to vary, but in general parenting experienced by adolescents is parenting-child communication and parental nurturance pattern. (3) patterns of parenting to significantly influence the development of adolescent emotional intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) to find out habit of truancy of classXI students of SMK Negeri 5 Bantaeng before being given group counseling services with behavioral contract techniques, (2) to determine of SMK Negeri 5 Bantaeng after being given group counseling services with the behavioral contract technique. The method used is action research in guidance and counseling services. Research result shows that: 1) the results of the analysis before being given group counseling services with behavioral contract techniques, the habit of skipping students on average five group counseling services with behavioral contract techniques, the habit of truant students experienced a decrease that previously averaged five times a month to ance a month.
