Abstract

Background: The impact of installing a Mechanical Ventilator (VM) is so complex, one of which is that the patient's ability to expel secretions into the tracheobronchial tree is very limited, so it is very necessary to help patients keep their airways clean so that the process of exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide runs smoothly and prevents the onset of pneumonia. The action taken was suctioning of endotracheal secretions with an aseptic technique Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the description of suctioning of endotracheal secretions in patients with mechanical ventilators in the ICU room of West Nusa Tenggara Hospital. Conducted in the ICU Room of the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial General Hospital. Methods: The research design used was descriptive in nature only looking at the description of suctioning of endotracheal secretions in patients with mechanical ventilators, the sample in this study was a total population of 16 people, who performed suctioning of endotracheal secretions in patients using mechanical ventilators in the operating room. Results: Based on the research, it can be concluded that the majority of respondents in suctioning endotracheal secretions were in the sufficient category, namely 9 people (56%), while in the good category, there were 6 people (38%) and fewer, 1 person (6%). good early mobilization experienced normal uterine involution of 88% with a P-value of 0.001 ≤ alpha (0.05) meaning that there was a relationship between early mobilization and uterine involution in postpartum mothers. Conclusion: Based on the research, it can be concluded that the majority of respondents in suctioning endotracheal secretions were in the sufficient category
