Abstract

In communication between planes and satellites, Optical Beamforming Networks (OBFNs), which rely on many small and flat Phased Array Antennas (PAAs), need to be tuned in order to receive signals from specific angles. In this paper, we develop a deep neural network representation of tuning OBFNs. The problem of tuning an OBFN is in many aspects similar to training a deep neural network. We present a way to exploit the special structure of OBFNs into deep neural network and an algorithm for tuning OBFNs based on feedback that can be easily measured in real system. Training data, which consists of full signals, can be measured, and therefore is used in this paper. For pilot signals, the desired signal is known explicitly. Given the configuration of OBFNs and all nominal parameters required, it was verified in simulation that the deep neural network can be used to tune large scale OBFNs for any desired delays.

Abstract

The electric car is a solution designed as a zero-emission vehicle which is an alternative to reducing air pollution. There are various types of electric cars, this research focuses more on Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). HEV is a vehicle that has at least two different energy sources. The most common combination today is the Internal Combution Engine (ICE) and an electric battery. HEV uses ICE with a smaller capacity than conventional vehicles, this results in more efficient fuel use. In HEV, there are several problems, including the response from ICE which is less than optimal when there is an increase in speed. ICE as the prime mover has a smaller capacity than conventional vehicles because it is assisted by the performance of the DC motor. When ICE is unable to maintain speed, the DC motor will help provide power. Therefore, it is necessary to regulate traction on a DC motor to help ICE achieve the desired speed, especially when there is an increase in speed. This study uses a neuro-fuzzy control method which has the advantage of being able to adapt to changes in parameters in the system. HEV itself requires a fast response, therefore, a predictive controller is used in order to predict the future torque value

Abstract

Background: Chemical contents in mouthwash could cause several side effects in the oral cavity, hence natural ingredients were used such as Mauli banana stem and basil leaf extract. Mouthwash exposure in the oral cavity affects composite resin, one of it is a bioactive composite resin which has advantages over conventional ones. The contact of mouthwash with bioactive composite resin affects strength properties. Purpose: To analyse the effect of Mauli banana stem and basil extract on the diametral tensile strength value of the bioactive composite resin. Method: Thirty specimens (diameter 6mm x thickness 3mm; n=5/ group) were made using Activa™ Bioactive Restorative (Pulpdent) and immersed in the following group of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% Mauli banana stem and basil leaf extract as a treatment groups, chlorhexidine gluconate 0,2 % (CHX) and aquadest as a control groups for 24 hours in the incubator at 37oC. Diametral tensile strength value was measured by Universal Testing Machine (Tokyo Testing Machine MFG CO.LTD) with 0,5 mm/minute crosshead speed and 250 kgF load cell. Result: One Way Anova and Post Hoc Bonferroni show there is a significant difference between treatment groups of 25% extract (41,33±6,20 MPa) and treatment groups of 100 % extract (55,06±6,42 MPa). Meanwhile, there is no significant difference for other groups. Conclusion: There is a significant effect of Mauli banana stem and basil leaf extract on the diametral tensile strength value of bioactive composite resin.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of the relationship between corporate social responsibility, earnings management, and firm performance, and the impact of firm size on the association between corporate social responsibility, earnings management, and firm performance in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. The variables used in this research are corporate social responsibility and earnings management as independent variables as well as firm performance as the dependent variables. Furthermore, this research will use firm size as moderating variable.             The samples of this research are fast-moving consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2019 with total sample is 135 samples. The data used in this research is secondary data which was obtained through the purposive sampling method. The analytical technique used for examining the hypothesis is through multiple linear regressions. The result of this research shows that CSR has a positive impact on firm performance. Earnings management has a negative significant effect on firm performance. The firm size managed to moderate and provide a significantly positive effect to strengthen the relations between CSR and firm performance. Meanwhile, the firm size is also able to moderate, giving the effect of strengthening the relationship of earnings management to the firm's performance.

Abstract

Era digital melahirkan berbagai potensi dan tantangan yang memasuki berbagai bidang seperti politik, ekonomi, sosial budaya, pertahanan dan keamanan serta teknologi informasi. Pemerintahan atau sistem birokrasi di Indonesia juga tidak luput dari potensi dan tantangan perkembangan era digital ini. Salah satu tantangan besar yang harus dihadapi oleh sistem birokrasi Indonesia adalah tuntutan lahirnya inovasi yang berorientasi pada teknologi digital, sehingga inovasi ini diharapkan dapat memudahkan Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya. Kemudahan segala pekerjaan dengan berbasis aplikasi dan teknologi ini selanjutnya diharapkan mampu memberikan pelayanan yang lebih optimal kepada masyarakat. Menanggapi tantangan ini, civitas Universitas Pertamina melalui program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) berbagi pengetahuan, ilmu dan keahlian dalam penggunakan Microsoft Excel untuk mendukung efektivitas pengerjaan pekerjaan harian pada ASN Kantor Pelayanan Kekayaan Negara dan Lelang (KPKNL) Bekasi. Kegiatan ini diharapkan meningkatkan kemampuan Sumber Daya Manusia di kalangan KPKNL Bekasi, meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi pelaksanaan tugas dan fungsi sehari-hari, serta menjadi katalis dalam munculnya inovasi yang berorientasi pada teknologi digital.
