Abstract

This research is aimed to develop Self Assessment Based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (SSA-HOTS) instrument in learning physics to train student’s higher order thinking Skills. The development model using 4D from Thiagarajan with the subjects of the study was selected by random at high school student of IPA Major. Data collection techniques include test, observation, and questionnaire distribution then analyzed using correlation test. From the result of the research, it is found that the developed instrument is deserve to use, high reliability value, difficulty of problem proportional, and test item sensitive. Correlation assessment between student and teacher on cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects on the character of honesty and cooperation each 0.95; 0.83; 0.81; And 0.80 are in the high category. Students also responded positively to this instrument. So it can be concluded that the self assessment instrument based on Higher Order Thinking Skills is deserve to be used to train student higher order thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aimed for developing Inquiry Worksheet to facilitate the process skill. Inquiry Worksheet gave the opportunity for student to make good observations in giving hypothesis, designing the experiment, collecting, analyzing, and inferring the data. To involve the students in Inquiry process is the important point in Science lessons which can help the students to develop Science literacy and give the opportunity to drill their Science process skill. This research used the steps of developing 4P but the fourth step was not used, this analysis used the descriptive qualitative. Based on the validation result showed the Lesson Plan (RPP) and Inquiry Worksheet (LKS) had been developed were in valid category. The implementation of the good Lesson Plan for Evaluation Results was classically achieved. The process skill obtained 100 for the average score. For pretest and posttest, the students obtained 82.85 and 57.14. Learning using the Inquiry worksheet showed good responses by the students. The conclusion of this research was Inquiry Worksheet competent to facilitate the process skills.

Abstract

EMPOWERMENT OF GRIYO MAOS BANYU ILMU TO IMPROVE CHILDREN'S SOFT SKILLS AND HARD SKILLS IN REMBUKIDUL VILLAGE, MOJOKERTO. The aims of this community service was improving softskills and hardskills of children in Rembukidul village. This research was Mixed Research by adopting of Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. Subjects in this study were 25 children in RembuKidul village. The partner in this community service was Griyo Maos Banyu Ilmu at Rembukidul village, Mojokerto. The data was analyze descriptively quantitative by calculating gainscore. From the results of this observations it can be concluded that the softskills development activities of children in Rembukidul village in coloring and finger painting activities amounted to 80.7 with excellent categories, storytelling and determining the story elements of 79.5 in the good category, composing panthaps for 71.6 in the good category , and recited poetry of 82.9 in the excellent category. While hardskill children in Rembukidul village increase in four activities included recognizing numbers which increased by 0.61 in the medium category, playing using abacus increased by 0.71 with a high category, arithmetic operations increased by 0.68 with the medium category, and counting using abacus with an increase of 0.65 in the medium category. So it can be concluded in that the empowerment of Griyo Maos Banyu Ilmu can be increasing the softskills and hardskills of children in Rembukidul village.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan media pengajaran Bahasa inggris dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung siswa kelas I A di SDN Simomulyo VIII Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan oleh guru di dalam kelas melalui refleksi diri, dengan tujuan untuk memperbaiki kinerjanya sebagai guru, sehingga hasil kemampuan berhitung anak meningkat. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan di kelas I A di SDN Simomulyo VIII Surabaya dengan 2 siklus yang setiap siklusnya dilaksanakan melalui 3 kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian pada siklus pertama kemampuan berhitung siswa masih memperoleh persentase 39% dari 25 siswa. Hal ini dikarenakan jumlah media pengajaran Bahasa Inggris melalui warna yang disediakan guru tidak sesuai dengan jumlah siswa, siswa belum memahami aturan dan cara bermain dengan menggunakan the number coloring games dan guru kurang memberikan motivasi sehingga kemampuan berhitung anak belum terlihat dan perlu dilanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya karena belum memenuhi target yang diharapkan yaitu 80%. Hasil penelitian pada siklus kedua menunjukkan kemampuan berhitung siswa sudah meningkat menjadi 89% sehingga tidak perlu dilanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya karena sudah mencapai target yang diharapkan Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media the number coloring games dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung pada kelas I A di SDN Simomulyo VIII.

Abstract

The aims of this research was describing about implementation of discovery learning model to increase students mathematics learning outcomes. It was a quantitative research with one shot case study design. Subjects of this research were students of Xth TEI 1 SMK Negeri 1 Driyorejo for the academic year 2021/2022. Data collection technique using three essay questions with data analyze technique include validity test and completeness test of Minimum Completeness Criteria. In this research, students are given 6 steps of discovery learning. There are stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. The research revealed that students learning outcome using discovery learning having increase from 30 to 89. It could be conclude that discovery learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.
