Abstract

Stroke is the second leading cause of death in the world. Stroke is a vascular disorder caused by blockage or rupture of blood vessels in the brain, as a result of these conditions arises a clinical disorder resulting from damage to brain cells in certain parts. Symptoms can disrupt the process of mental activity or sublime cortical function including cognitive function. This study aims to determine the relationship between stroke classification with cognitive impairment in stroke patients. This type of research used in this study is a correlation analysis, with a cross-sectional design, a sample of 36 respondents according to criteria, using Chi-Square at α = 0.05. There is a relationship between the classification of stroke with cognitive impairment in stroke patients with a value of ρ value = 0,000.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is a disorder of brain function that arises suddenly due to disruption of cerebral blood circulation. Stroke is the second leading cause of death in the world and stroke is divided into 2, namely hemorrhagic stroke and non-hemorrhagic stroke. Motor disorders that commonly occur in stroke patients are hemiplegia and hemiparesis. Objective: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between stroke classification and motor function disorders in stroke patients. Method: The design of this study used a cross sectional design with a sample of 36 respondents. Conclusion: Correlation analysis using chi square test with = 0.05 with the result that there is a relationship between stroke classification and motor function disorders in stroke patientswith p value: 0.000.

Abstract

Background: Due to the large number of patient visits to the Emergency Room, a triage system is needed to sort out patients who are prioritized to get service first to anticipate patient density and avoid patients not being helped or dying due to not getting help quickly. The distribution of triage is one of the common causes for families to feel anxious, especially if the family does not understand the triage system used, they will feel neglected and fear if their family members do not get immediate health care. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between patient triage and family anxiety levels in the Emergency Room. Method: This study used a qualitative approach with cross sectional design and 107 people. Sampling technique using Consecutive Sampling. Result: Statistical test results using Spearman Rank obtained p value = 0.012. Conclusion: There is a relationship triage of patients with family anxiety levels in the Emergency Room.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a reaction that can be experienced by anyone, which if excessive anxiety will cause interference and hinder a person's function in life. Anxiety arises when there is a lack of communication between patients and nurses because the spearhead of health is the nurse. nurses must have good communication with patients in order to provide understanding to patients about their illness. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship of effective communication to patient anxiety with catheter insertion in the emergency room. Methods: This study used correlative analytics. The population was patients with catheter insertion and the sample amounted to 48 people. Sampling with purposive sampling. Results: The statistical test results obtained p value (0.001) < α (0.05) so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between effective communication and patient anxiety with catheter insertion in the emergency room. Conclusion: Nurses must have the ability to carry out effective communication so as to reduce patient anxiety in the emergency room.
