Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to find out the causes of pseudo mental model occurred on performing English speaking task ability. This research is conducted to the learners of English department in academic year 2018-2019. This research uses questionnaire as the only instrument. The questionnaire was distributed through WA group of learners English department. 38 learners got a questionnaire but only 28 learners who returned the questionnaire to the researcher. The questionnaire consists of 17 items. This research uses descriptive qualitative whereas the researcher analyzes and describes the questionnaire distributed and returned from learners of English department. Base on the data gained, the result shows that although learners have high motivation on learning English speaking subject, that is 96%, pseudo mental model (nervous, afraid, and less confident)on performing English speaking task ability still occurred. Besides that, it also occurs not only because of learners had problems in language component skills , that is 75%, though in fact in specific problems occurred 57% (problems are not similar) but also in mental model 67% though preparation is prepared well 92%, 78% before conducting and 71% during performing, and the frequency of “always “ being nervous, afraid and less confident is 64%. Moreover, 92% learners are trying to reduce of having pseudo mental model (afraid, nervous, lack confident).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know and find out the practicality of ASSURE Model as one of instructional design implemented in the classroom. This research is taken during Pandemic covid-19 in English Department at PGRI Wiranegara University. From 38 learners, researcher divides the number of learners into 2 classes; they are online and offline class. There are 20 learners as offline class and the rest as online class. The instrument used on this research is questionnaire. During the implementation of ASSURE Model in three meetings, the researcher also requires observers. The involvement of observers is really needed to gain some additional benefit input for making positive revision or suggestion. There are two observers which taken from university lecturer. In gaining data, Researcher distributes similar items of questionnaire both to learners and observers. Based on the result from questionnaire, it is found that ASSURE Model is practical to be implemented both for offline and online class. Although, it is undeniable that there are some problems occur in online class during teaching activity but online class wholly stated that ASSURE Model practically used.

Abstract

This research is taken during the researcher has subjects of Morphology in the classroom. This research aims to find out whether supplemental exercises textbook is effective to be implemented on comprehending morpheme as well as gaining high achievement on learning morphology. All data were collected through a questionnaire and tests are given to twenty-five college students. Of twenty-five students, two students did not join the exercise, but in the final test, twenty-four students took part in the final exam. All data gained were analyzed by using descriptive quantitative study. The result shows that the supplemental exercises textbook was effective to be implemented. It can be seen from the result of a questionnaire which can be called a high category level. Further, the result of students’ learning achievement was 83%. It means that students have improved their learning achievements. Keywords: Morpheme, Supplemental, Word Power

Abstract

ABSTRACT:The purposes of this research are to find out, 1) whether C-ID, R2D2 model is effective to be implemented on learning Reading comprehension, (2) college students’ activity during the implementation of C-ID, R2D2 model on learning Reading comprehension, and 3) college students’ learning achievement during the implementation of C-ID, R2D2 model on learning Reading comprehension. All data are gained from observation sheets from two observers and test given to 31 college students. All data are analyzed by using descriptive quantitative study. The result shows thatC-ID, R2D2 model is effective to be implemented. It can be seen from the result of observation that 3,96 which can be called as high category level. In college students’ activity during its implementation is high, that is 3,97, and also from the total result of college student’s learning achievement, all students get score more than 90.Key words: C-ID, R2D2, Learning, Reading comprehension

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to find out (1) college students’ response during the learning process on Reading comprehension, (2) college students’ learning achievement during the learning process on Reading comprehension. The data are gained from questionnaires and test given to 31 college students in 12 meetings. From 12 meetings, there were two college students did not attend the learning process. And automatically, the researcher only gets 29 questionnaires and answer sheets. All data are analyzed by using descriptive quantitative study. The result shows that college students’ response is categorized high, that is 0,93 (93%) and the result of college student’s learning achievement can be categorized high, all students get more than 90.Keywords: Teaching, Learning, Reading,  R2D2, Focal points

Abstract

This research was started with a simple research question to find out the effectiveness of ICARE model implemented on teaching Micro Teaching subject whereas it was embedded in online and offline as a lesson plan in Hybrid learning class. In this research, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative research. It meant the researcher joined both the online class and an offline class to observe the real learning activity and for gaining the learners’ score for measuring the effectiveness of ICARE on Micro Teaching subject in a hybrid learning class. The researcher used two instruments they were observation field note and evaluation sheets. Field note observation was held to observe the learning activities in online in 10 while 4 meetings in offline were held through conducting test. Researcher prepared 20 items indicators which were used to obtain the learners’ score based on performance teaching test. The researcher used likert scale for determining the point gained by learners. The result from observation in online learning showed that mostly learners really enjoyed and were enthusiastic in joining online learning activity in 10 meetings. Meanwhile through the test in offline learning in 4 meetings, there were 7 Learners got more that 90 (excellence) and 8 learners got under 90 (satisfied). So, it was concluded that ICARE model was effective to be implemented altogether in teaching and learning activity in hybrid learning (online and offline) for gaining effective teaching and learning and fabulous fruitful.

Abstract

Isu kemerosotan nasionalisme dan patriotisme jarang sekali tersentuh bahkan nyaris tidak pernah disadari oleh pemerintah maupun masyarakat sosial. Penanaman nilai nasionalisme dan patriotisme masih belum dianggap hal yang urgent untuk diperhatikan. program creation smart house atau rumah pintar dan kreasi serta KKN goes to playgroup dapat menjadi platform rekonstruksi nasionalisme dan patriotisme anak anak di kelurahan sekargadung sebagai subyek pengabdian. strategi yang kami gunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu manajemen acara. Terdiri dari perencanaan, aksi, organisasi, kontrol, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Metode pengabdian yang kami terapkan bervariasi. Untuk program KKN goes to school kami menggunakan metode proyek, kampanye, demonstrasi, dan percontohan. Sedangkan platform Creation Smart House menggunakan metode pelatihan dan kursus. tahapan tahapan internalisasi nilai akan dengan mudah merekonstruksi nilai nasionalisme dan patriotisme melalui platform creation smart house dan program KKN goes to playgroup. Creation Smart House merupakan platform inisiasi yang memiliki konsep seperti rumah belajar dan mengasah kreatifitas sedangkan kkn goes to playgroup program mengajar ke anak anak Paud, TK, dan RA tentang pengenalan simbol negara.
