Abstract

Misconception is a serious problem faced by high school students. Through the application of inquiry learning model, this study tries to reduce students' misconceptions, especially on thermochemical material.  The experimental method with the pretest-posttest randomized control group design was used in this study. The samples of the research were 72 eleventh-grade high school students. The inquiry model was applied to the experimental class and the scientific approach was applied to the control class. The three-tier multiple choice with the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) was used to look at misconceptions experienced by the students. The results of the statistical calculation found that the toserved was greater than tcritical. The reduction of misconception categories and the percentage of reduction of misconceptions in the experimental class was 47.53 % in the medium category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the inquiry learning model helped the students to overcome the misconceptions in thermochemical material. The researcher recommends that the inquiry learning model can be applied to other chemistry materials because their learning can help students find the correct concepts and reduce misconceptions.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to produce a Guided Inquiry-Based E-LKPD using the adobe acrobat 11 pro extended application on the chemical equilibrium material developed which is already valid based on aspects of content feasibility, pedagogics, characteristics of the guided inquiry model, language and graphic aspects. The type of research used is research and development using the ADDIE model. The results of material validation from each aspect are as follows, the content feasibility aspect is 92.18%, the pedagogic aspect is 90%, the characteristic aspect of the guided inquiry learning model is 87.5%, the language aspect is 90.62% and the graphic aspect is 93.75% with valid category. The results of media validation from each aspect are as follows, the size aspect of the E-LKPD is 93.75%, the cover design aspect of the E-LKPD is 90.62% and the content design of the E-LKPD is 93.18%. The results of the one-on-one test analysis show that students with high, medium and low abilities have a fast to long time span according to their abilities. The results of the teacher's response obtained a value of 93.55% with attractiveness 95.83%, effectiveness 93.18% and practicality 91.66% with good criteria. Student responses obtained a value of 91.5% with an attractiveness of 92.12% and an ease of 90.75% with good criteria.

Abstract

Along with the times, applications on computers are increasingly sophisticated. Knowledge of the Computer Assisted Test method is very important for civil servant candidate fighters who will take the test. After passing the administrative selection, CPNS selection fighters are required to take part in the next selection which consists of 3 tests, namely the Personal Characteristics Test (TKP), General Intelligence Test ( TIU) and National Insight Test (TWK). At this time there are still many people who fail to take the CPNS selection test. One of the areas where there are still many failures when participating in the CPNS selection is Meskom village. Meskom Village is located in Bengkalis Regency, Riau. The problem that is often faced by the community is failure when taking the CPNS CAT (Computer Assisted Test) test, therefore training needs to be held regarding the application used during the CPNS test selection. In addition, this training also helps the community in solving CPNS selection questions, one of which is the general intelligence test. Training and application of the CAT (Computer Assisted Test) application as well as discussion of personality tests and national insight tests as preparation for the implementation of the CPNS test for the people of Meskom village. This activity succeeded in providing a simulation of the use of the CAT application to the residents of the Meskom village, CPNS fighters. In addition, they are also equipped with an understanding of how to answer questions quickly and accurately according to the time available.
