Abstract

Assistance to the community is provided in order to provide education using fast, good and correct learning methods. In addition to literacy education of the Qur'an, coastal communities who work as fish seekers on average also need to be equipped with skills (life skill). Through education and training, coastal communities will have two advantages at once, first able to study the Qur'an quickly, rightly and correctly, and both gain knowledge about fish waste processing. Devotion is done also provide life skill education (life skills) such as processing pellets / feed from fish waste. Supply provided is not limited to the training course but also helps in the management of production permits and feasibility of processing the pellet, and find opportunities in marketing the processed products.

Abstract

Groundwater before being used is very important to pay attention to the quality of the water. Water has good quality if it is in accordance with several parameters, including chemical, physical, and biological parameters. Mineral salt content is one of the chemical parameters that can be used to determine the quality of water. In this study, the synthesis of cassava peel hydrochar was successfully carried out using the hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) method. This material was developed to reduce waste of cassava peel biomass and overcome the problem of water hardness. HTC cassava peel was developed as an alternative hard water softener adsorbent. The results of FTIR characterization on hydro-activation (activating hydrochar) and hydro-non (non-activating hydrochar) contain functional groups of O-H stretch, C-H stretch, C≡C stretch and C=C stretch. Observation of surface morphology by SEM method on hydro-non in the form of large sheets, while the surface on hydro-activities in the form of small sheets. The adsorption capacity of hydro-active against Ca2+ ions and Mg2+ ions were 85.240 mg/g and 87.210 mg/g, respectively. Meanwhile, the hydro-non adsorption capacity of Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions were 84,736 mg/g and 85,713 mg/g. The kinetics of hydro-active adsorption on Mg2+ ion took place on order 3 (0.000003 min-1) while when adsorption of Ca2+ ion took place on order 0 (0.0324 min-1).©2021 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Abstract

Sulfate-impregnated acid catalysts can be used to replace conventional homogeneous base catalysts which are very dangerous, corrosive and environmentally unfriendly. Sulfate impregnation on porous support material will increase the surface area of the catalyst. The use of KCC-1 as a supporting material can produce catalysts with excellent properties. The method used in this research is the hydrothermal method for the synthesis of KCC-1 and the direct impregnation method for the synthesis of SO42-/KCC-1. Characterization of the resulting material using X-ray diffraction (XRD), FTIR spectrometer, and low temperature emission scanning electron microscope (SEM). The characterization results showed that the synthesis of KCC-1 and SO42-/KCC-1 had been successfully carried out. This is evidenced by the formation of amorphous silica, the presence of peaks of silica and sulfate groups, and scanning electron microscope images showing nano-sized materials.©2021 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Abstract

Titanium dioksida (TiO2) merupakan salah satu bahan yang menjanjikan yang memenuhi persyaratan fotokatalis. Penelitian ini mempelajari pengaruh doping Zn dan N pada struktur geometri dan elektronik TiO2 anatas. Untuk mengetahui struktur dan proses kinerja fotokatalitik digunakan perhitungan density functional theory (DFT) dengan algoritma generalized gradient approximation (GGA) menggunakan parameterisasi Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof (PBEsol).  Perhitungan struktur elektronik menggunakan parameter Hubbard U. Setelah optimasi terjadi distorsi volume kisi doping Zn  1,011  Å, doping N 1,209 Å dan co-doping Zn-N 1,646 Å. Data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa doping dapat mempengaruhi perubahan struktural. Perhitungan struktur elektronik menghasilkan celah pita TiO2 murni sebesar 3,18 eV, kemudian terjadi penyempitan celah pita yang disebabkan oleh dopan. Celah pita doping Zn 2,9  eV, doping N 2,78 eV dan co-doping Zn-N 2,74 eV. Struktur elektronik baru hasil doping  tidak hanya menyebabkan penyempitan celah pita tapi juga dapat menghambat rekombinasi pasangan elektron-hole, secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas fotokatalitik TiO2 di daerah cahaya tampak.

Abstract

Mitigasi bencana dapat dilakukan secara non struktural untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menghadapi bencana melalui media pembelajaran berorientasi mitigasi bencana. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan kualitas produk serta respon siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D dengan menggunakan model DBR (Design Based Research) dari Reeves yaitu analisis masalah, pengembangan solusi, proses berulang uji coba solusi, dan refleksi. Produk yang dikembangkan mempunyai karakteristik berupa materi kebencanaan tanah longsor dan terintegrasi dengan mata pelajaran kimia dikemas dalam bentuk e-modul. Produk yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dengan skor rata-rata aspek validasi ahli materi 0,83 (sangat valid), skor rata-rata aspek validasi ahli media 0,78 (valid), dan hasil respon siswa mendapatkan persentase 83,31% (baik). E-modul kimia berorientasi mitigasi bencana materi kimia unsur dapat digunakan oleh siswa untuk menunjang pembelajaran daring dan upaya mitigasi bencana secara non struktural.
