Abstract

Kasih sayang dan rasa aman adalah hak setiap anak. Akan tetapi, tidak semua anak beruntung memiliki orangtua dan keluarga yang utuh. Sebagian mereka harus mengalami kehilangan orangtua di masa kanak-kanak, dan tidak memiliki rumah atau keluarga yang mengasuh, sehingga mereka terpaksa tinggal di panti asuhan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif komparatif untuk melihat gambaran kebahagiaan pada anak-anak asuh di Kota Pekanbaru dan Padang dan membandingkan kebahagiaan anak-anak asuh panti di kedua kota tersebut. Peneliti melakukan wawancara dan observasi terhadap 18 (delapan belas) anak asuh pada 3 (tiga) panti asuhan di Padang dan 3 (tiga) panti asuhan di Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan antara kebahagiaan anak asuh di kota Pekanbaru dan kebahagiaan anak asuh di kota Padang. Faktor-faktor kebahagiaan yang ditemukan ialah berkumpul dan berjumpa dengan keluarga, bermain dan bercanda dengan teman, memiliki harapan dan cita-cita, mengikuti perlombaan sesuai kemampuan. Kesimpulan, anak-anak di panti asuhan merasa relatif bahagia hidup di panti karena bersama teman-teman, akan tetapi mereka merasa lebih bahagia apabila mereka dapat berkumpul bersama dengan keluarga.

Abstract

Banyak pasangan yang memasuki pernikahan tanpa memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk membina rumah tangga, sehingga tidak heran banyak kita temui pernikahan yang berujung pada perceraian. Penelitian membuktikan salah satu cara untuk dapat menurunkan angka perceraian ialah dengan memberikan pelatihan pranikah bagi pasangan yang akan menikah. Banyak variasi dari pelatihan pranikah, namun belum ada yang disusun berdasarkan kelimuan psikologi dan islam. Pengabdi adalah praktisi psikologi di bidang pernikahan dan keluarga dan pengajar di perguruan tinggi islam, menyusun sebuah pelatihan pranikah dengan mengintegrasikan ilmu psikologi dan islam. Ada empat materi yang disampaikan dalam pelatihan ini, yaitu esensi (alasan, tujuan, dan fungsi menikah) pernikahan dalam psikologi dan islam, keterampilan komunikasi, keterampilan pengelolaan konflik, dan keterampilan pengelolaan keuangan keluarga. Pengabdian dilaksanakan pada KUA Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru pada tanggal 9 dan 23 Oktober 2018, dengan jumlah peserta 20 orang atau 10 pasangan yang akan menikah. Meski terdapat keterbatasan waktu dalam pelaksanaan, pelatihan ini dinilai peserta memberikan manfaat. Rekomendasi pelaksanaan pelatihan dapat dilakukan dalam waktu yang lebih memadai sesuai dengan modul yang telah disusun.
Relationship between Communication Barriers and Stress in Parents with Deaf Children in Elementary Level Special Needs School in Pekanbaru Indah Damayanti

Abstract

Constraints in communication are generally experienced by parents with deaf children, especially in elementary school age. The inability of children to hear and the lack of vocabulary mastered by children causes difficulties in understanding and conveying messages between parents and children. This causes the need for parents to convey and receive messages from children not achieved perfectly and cause stress. This study aims to determine the relationship between barriers to communication with stress in parents who have deaf children at primary school level at SLBN (state special needs school) Pembina Pekanbaru. The method in this study uses a quantitative approach with correlational research design. This research is a population research, with the subject of the research are all parents who have deaf children at the elementary school level in the SLBN Pembina Pekanbaru, total 42 people. The data of this study were obtained using a scale of communication barriers revealed by researchers from the theory described by Fajar (2009) regarding the barriers to communication and stress scale revealed by researchers from the theory of Sarafino (1997) regarding stress and symptoms. The results of data analysis using the Product Moment correlation technique from Pearson through the help of the SPSS 24.0 for windows program showed a value of r = 0.819 with a significant value p = 0.00, meaning there is a positive relationship between communication barriers to stress in parents who have deaf children at primary school level in the SLBN Pembina Pekanbaru.
