Abstract

Flood is one of most dangerous disasters to all living things on earth. Flood natural disaster having occurred Manado city, especially Karombasan village, was caused by heavy rains for days, surface water runoff, low soil infiltration capacity, and littering. Floods that hit Karombasan sub-district have killed 3 persons, and made 1 person missing, 8 houses damaged: 3 heavily damaged and 5 lightly damaged. This paper was organized aiming to know, understand, and analyze the causes of flood in the Karombasan village and what the government's social action is in dealing with the Karombasan community affected by the flood disaster. This paper spotlighted the inventory of flood victims, the causes, how to overcome them, and social actions taken by the government to overcome the floods occurring. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was used in this study and data collection techniques used was in-depth interviews. The results show natural factors of heavy rain, human factors such as littering, and illegal logging causing the flood natural disaster. As a result of flood, casualties, missing victims, injuries, lost valuable documents, lost and damaged properties, damaged houses and economic disruption can be found in local community.

Abstract

Abstract This paper discusses how GMIM Syaloom Karombasan services during the Covid-19 pandemic by utilizing technology and social media as a means of service. The purpose of this paper is to explain and analyze GMIM Syaloom Karombasan services during the Covid-19 pandemic using theological studies as a reference. The research method used is a qualitative method because this method can answer church services. Data collection techniques used in the form of in-depth interviews according to the problem. The church is a community of believers in God who have never been spared from the temptation to do theology to preach the mission of God. Currently the church, in this case GMIM Syaloom Karombasan, is facing a trial, namely social changes such as the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted in all church services not being maximized. Church services on Sunday services, BIPRA, pastoral visits, community social services, all of this is done online in order to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19. This pandemic situation has helped the church to preach God's mission because of technology such as multimedia and social media to support the church's ministry.AbstrakTulisan ini membahas mengenai bagaimana pelayanan GMIM Syaloom Karombasan di masa pandemi Covid-19 dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dan media sosial sebagai sarana pelayanan. Tujuan penulisan ini ialah menjelaskan dan menganalisis pelayanan GMIM Syaloom Karombasan di masa pandemi Covid-19 dengan menggunakan kajian Teologis sebagai acuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif karena metode ini dapat menjawab pelayanan gereja. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai berupa wawancara mendalam sesusai dengan permasalahan. Gereja merupakan suatu komunitas orang-orang percaya kepada Tuhan yang tidak pernah terhindar dari cobaan untuk berteologi memberitakan misi Allah. Saat ini gereja dalam hal ini GMIM Syaloom Karombasan menghadapi suatu cobaan yaitu perubahan sosial seperti pandemi Covid-19 yang mengakibatkan seluruh pelayanan gereja tidak maksimal. Pelayanan gereja di ibadah minggu, BIPRA, perkunjungan pastoral, pelayanan sosial masyarakat, semuanya itu dilakukan secara online demi memutus rantai penyebaran Covid-19. Situasi pandemi ini membuat gereja tertolong pelayanannya untuk memberitakan misi Allah karena adanya teknologi seperti multimedia dan media sosial sebagai penunjang pelayanan gereja.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe and analyze various factors causing the lack of participation of GMIM Syaloom Karombasan youth in Sunday worship services. In terms of quantity, the church youths are around 379 members, but only 13 people are involved in Sunday worship services, namely the youth commission. This makes the author feel concerned to examine more deeply the problems experienced by young people. This paper uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis and interview approach because it can present data related to the lives of youth in service. This paper uses data collection techniques such as structured in-depth interviews. This paper uses the theory of church development from Rob Van Kessel as a knife to sharpen the analysis of the problem. In the results of the research that the author got, it was caused by youth not taking the initiative, promiscuity, musical instruments and sound systems were inadequate, youth creativity was lacking. BPMJ does not facilitate youth in service, lack of communication between BPMJ and youth, and the formation of youth groups who are rich, poor, beautiful, and handsome.  AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisa berbagai faktor penyebab minimnya partisipasi pemuda GMIM Syaloom Karombasan dalam pelayanan ibadah minggu. Secara kuantitas para pemuda gereja terbilang banyak sekitar 379 anggota, tetapi yang terlibat dalam pelayanan ibadah minggu hanya 13 orang yaitu komisi pemuda. Hal tersebut membuat penulis merasa prihatin untuk mengkaji lebih dalam terkait permasalahan yang dialami para pemuda. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis dan wawancara karena dapat menyajikan data terkait kehidupan pemuda dalam berpelayanan. Tulisan ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data seperti wawancara mendalam secara terstruktur. Adapun tulisan ini menggunakan teori pembangunan jemaat dari Rob Van Kessel sebagai pisau untuk mempertajam analisa permasalahan. Dalam hasil penelitian yang penulis dapatkan disebabkan pemuda tidak berinisiatif, pergaulan bebas, alat musik dan sound system tidak memadai, kreatifitas pemuda kurang. BPMJ tidak memfasilitasi pemuda dalam pelayanan, minimnya komunikasi BPMJ dan pemuda, dan terbentuknya kelompok-kelompok pemuda yang kaya, miskin, cantik, ganteng.
