(Hamka, 2002: 657). According to M.Sarip, the name "Kutai Kartanegara" only existed at the end of the 13th century before it was also called Nusantara. If at the present time President Jokowidodo gives the name of the new State Capital (IKN) of the Republic of Indonesia the name Nusantara, the naming can not only revive or popularize the name but also restore the name, both as the name of an area that was popular in the past as well revive the name of an area in East Kalimantan that was popular in ancient times. Keywords: Archipelago, Region, Capital City, Country

Abstract

The tradition of tarawih prayer in Islam is carried out uniquely by the people of Kebundurian. The implementation is synchronized with the village custom, which upholds the traditional leader known as Siompu, the headman, and formal government. All problems faced by the community can be solved within the soko (tribe). All issues are recorded in as much detail as possible at the Tarawih prayer and it is known which tribes have problems. Checking the problems in each tribe aims to solve the problem properly, so that it can improve the relationship of all members of the community. If there are still problems in the soko (tribe) or so-called "cross crossover" that cannot be resolved, then each chief in Kebundurian conveyed to the traditional forum which consisted of Datuk Penghulu, dubalang, malin soko, imam, khatib, bilal, village chief community leader. After the submission of each chief was completed, the forum took action. Keywords: Society, Tarawih Prayers, Siempu Negeri, Kebundarian Village.

Abstract

In ancient times the use of betel for Malays was very important, starting from opening/starting a negotiation event or to summoning (inviting) someone to attend an event such as a marriage ceremony, circumcision ceremony (Rasul Circumcision), the birth of a baby, and a few days after his birth. the parents of the baby use the services of a village midwife to bathe the baby in the river by using a potion in which there is betel. Betel is also used to show a sense of courtesy/hospitality when visiting someone's house such as a friend/neighbor. The Malays serve betel nut to guests visiting their homes, to honor the spirits of their ancestors by making/giving offerings. In the offering, betel leaf is one of the ingredients and to increase energy or readiness to have sex. Malay people also use betel nut and even people use betel nut as a regalia (symbol of royal greatness), but the use of betel nut from year to year is decreasing (fading) or in other words starting to rarely use it.
