Abstract

Underwater plants are plants in the form of herbaceous plants and shrubs and low plants that cover the bottom of a forest area. Thus the function of the plant here is to withstand the destructive power of the falling rain fall and the rapid flow of water above the soil surface. Sibolangit Nature Park is a forest area with an area of ± 24.85 Ha. The existence of the lower plants in Sibolangit Nature Park become the main attraction for the visitors. The purpose of the research is to obtain the inventory data of the lower plants and describe the characters morphology. The research was conducted by using the exploration method along the path of Sibolangit Nature Park. From the research that has been done, there are 48 types of plants that consist of 31 families. Of the 48 undersea species identified, 30 of them belong to the Spermatophyta division, while the remaining 18 are included in the Pterydophyta division.Underwater plants are plants in the form of herbaceous plants and shrubs and low plants that cover the bottom of a forest area. Abstract

Portfolio-based research is an important and inseparable part of the various skills that prospective biology teacher students need to possess. This development research using the ADDIE Model involved 92 students as research subjects, and 3 lecturers who were in charge of the Biology Learning Evaluation course. Subjects were determined by purposive sampling technique. Data related to the readiness of portfolio development in digital textbooks were used in questionnaires, and data related to portfolio-based assessment abilities were used, and were complemented by in-depth interviews with the lecture team of lecturers. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the percentage technique to see the tendency of the respondent's condition. The results of the study found that 87.76% of respondents said that the portfolio material in textbooks was effective to be taught to prospective biology teacher students or in the very good category. The results of the evaluation of the portfolio-based assessment ability are included in the very good category as much as 72.41% and in the good category as much as 27.59%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the pedagogical literacy skills of biology education students after studying lecture material from textbooks on biology teaching and learning strategies that have been developed based on the ADDIE model. This development research used 92 students of the Biology Education Study Program, FMIPA, State University of Medan as subjects, who were determined by random sampling technique. Pedagogic literacy is measured using an essay test to determine the ability of prospective teacher students according to developments in technology and communication. The data were analyzed by percentage technique. The results of the study found that students' pedagogic literacy abilities in preparing themselves for e-learning were included in the good category (82.45%), the use of digital learning in the very good category (91.84%), the learning components involved in online learning is included in the very good category (92.67%), and the use of authentic assessment is included in the good category (84.78%).
