Abstract

Wilayah studi Kecamatan Semarang Utara merupakan kawasan Pesisir Kota Semarang. Fungsi kawasan sebagai perumahan dengan kepadatan tinggi dan kawasan industri. Berdasarkan SK Walikota tahun 2014, Kecamatan Semarang Utara merupakan Kecamatan dengan jumlah permukiman kumuh terbanyak. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji tipologi permukiman kawasan pesisir Kecamatan Semarang Utara. Tipologi kawasan permukiman ditentukan berdasarkan kondisi tingkat kekumuhan, kualitas lingkungan permukiman serta karakteristik sosial ekonomi penduduk. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis spasial, dengan memanfaatkan citra penginderaan jauh sebagai sumber data utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Kelurahan Bandarharjo dan Tanjungmas terdapat permukiman kumuh dengan tingkat kekumuhan berat dan kualitas lingkungan buruk. Penentuan tipologi pesisir merupakan salah satu hal yang penting untuk dilakukan guna mengetahui potensi dan permasalahan pada suatu kawasan permukiman. Hasil penelitian dapat dipergunakan sebagai pertimbangan dalam menerapkan program perbaikan lingkungan permukiman. Terdapat 10 tipe permukiman dengan karakteristik yang bebeda di Wilayah Studi. Kata kunci: Tipologi Permukiman, Permukiman Kumuh, Kualitas Permukiman

Abstract

Mranggen Subdistrict is one of the buffer zone area for Semarang City that slums area can be found. Emergence of slums area in Mranggen Subdistrictis because the impact of increased population in Semarang Capital. Increasing of the settlements area and housing become a logical consequence that comes from the main case. This condition is a major trigger from the formation of slums area. The purpose of this research is to identify characteristics of slums area in Mranggen Subdistrict, as a buffer area for Semarang Capital, with a quantitative approaching method. Instruments used in this research were observation, interview, and questionaire with descriptive and spatial analysis techniques using the Interpretation of Alos satellite imagery to know the distribution of slums area. The results showed that some of the slums area in Mranggen Subdistrict has a bad quality of buildings, semi-permanent and non-permanent buildings still stands, varying distance between the buildings was like (< 1,5 meters, 1,5 – 3,0 meters, and > 3,0 meters). Location of the slums area is very strategic that so many people could make an easy access towards the working place. Condition of the road was good, but condition of the drainage system, clean water, and sanitation were bad. Many house that have not been certified yet, low level of population growth and density, low rate income, also migrants people that prefers to live in this location rather than the other places, because near from their working place. So, strategic ways to handle slums area in Mranggen Subdistrict can be done using poverty development, community based development, and guided land development approach.

Abstract

Senior high school facilities is one of the settlement environment facilities that become supported facilities of settlement area. Determine of education facilities location is determined based location of student. The purpose of this condition is to make it easy student to range this education facilities location. Determine of education facilities location has been manage by government (The Regulation of ministre of Public Works No. 41/PRT/M/2007). The research aims to evaluate suitability of the location and service area of senior high school in Kebakkramat Sub-district. This research uses spatial analysis approach techniques to know region function and distribution of education facility location. The result shows that the senior high school location and range of service is suitable with mass transportation link and good access for student.

Abstract

As mandated by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, agricultural land is part of the earth as a gift from God that is controlled by the state and utilized for the prosperity and welfare of the people. The agricultural land can provide great benefits in terms of economic, social, and environmental benefits. Land use conversion from agricultural to non-agricultural use can cause productivity decrease in agriculture, so it triggers a hypothesis that the decrease of agricultural land will negatively affect food security. Based on the problem, the research is conducted to assess the relationship between conversion in agricultural land use with food security using a case study of Magelang Regency (Kabupaten) in the 2009-11 period. The methods used are spatio-temporal GIS, quantitative analysis, and field calibration. The results have shown that the agricultural land area has decreased (6.31%) but the food security has not declined. It is because the food sources for Magelang Regency come from several adjacent areas. It can then be concluded that the reduction of agricultural land does not significantly affect the food security status of the study area. However, in the long run the decrease of the agricultural land will affect national food security. So, to maintain food security, agricultural land use control is necessary to prevent the unnecessary conversion of agricultural land.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of settlement area in Semarang City using remote sensing imagery. This study used the spatial approach using quantitative descriptive analysis. Interpretation of satellite imagery is an initial activity of the stages of analysis. This activity aims to identify settlement area in the city, the analysis of developments in the residential area of Semarang will be done on the next step. The results showed that the settlement area in Semarang City was increased 9.78% from 1994 to 2005. Distribution of land settlement of the least extent in the sub district Gayamsari and Tugu. The largest residential area located in the sub-district Banyumanik, Tembalang and West Semarang. The regular, distribution is mostly located in Ngesrep Village, sub-district Banyumanik. On the other hand, the irregular distribution is located in Pudak Payung Village, sub-district Banyumanik and in the Rowosari Village, sub-district Tembalang. The composition of regular and irregular pattern were unchanged from 2006 to 2011. The evaluation result of the suitability of land use for settlement on the spatial plan (RTRW) all over the area indicated that more than 80% settlement areas were suitable with the plan.

Abstract

The population and economic growth increase the need of space leading to an increase in built-up area. There is an increased activity in the city centre which results in the residents feeling less comfortable to live in the area. Hence, the growth of the settlement area tends to head towards the periphery. This condition is an indication of the developments of the built-up area in the periphery. Urban sprawl is a phenomenon of development of an irregular built-up area which leads to the suburbs. Urban development as a result of urban sprawl will trigger an increase in the demand for supporting facilities and infrastructure. An urban Sprawl in Semarang City has resulted in the establishment of residential areas in a conserved region, which is against zoning regulations in the Semarang City Spatial Planning Document (RTRW). Urban Sprawl Typology Research in Semarang City aims to analyse the urban sprawl typology in the city. By knowing the typology, it can minimise the impact of urban sprawl. This research was conducted using the remote sensing method and geographic information system (GIS) with the Shannon's Entropy approach. The results indicated that in 2006 and 2016, urban sprawl in Semarang City had three types of typology that can be classified as typology I (low level), typology II (medium level) and typology III (high level). The impact of urban sprawl on typology II and III can be minimised through the provision of affordable housing with adequate infrastructure, and an improvement in the permit system for housing and settlement development.

Abstract

Tembalang area is planned as location for education, especially for high level education. This function becomes a pull factor for the population to occupy the land which leads to the increase of needs for supporting space. The increase of space requirement for the development of settlement, trade, and service area bring an impact to the land price rising in Tembalang. This research aims to find out the correlation between the settlement development with the land price evolution. The method used is quantitative with the support of spatial analysis. The correlation of settlement development and land price evolution is observed with the score of 0,45 as Pearson Correlation. The correlation is represented mostly in lower land price which directly give effect to the price rising. The largest land expansion for settlement is in radius 1-2 Km which reaches 204% in 2012. Whilst, the land price itself experiences very high increase, especially in the area situated close with UNDIP such as Bulusan Village where the price rising hits 800% from 2002 to 2012.

Abstract

The increase in the number and activity of the population implies increasing the area woke up, especially for the neighborhood. There are a variety of different settlement environment character in the suburban area of Semarang. The existence of settlements in district Genuk which is in the industry and affected rob feared decline of environmental quality neighborhoods. There are still many residents living in the northern part of Kecamatan Genuk flooded rob and decline the face of the land. The condition can have implications for environmental degradation in neighborhoods in district Genuk.Research on environmental quality neighborhoods in district Genuk aims to analyze the changes in environmental quality neighborhoods, using a spatial approach to the method of remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS). Analytical techniques weighted overlay using the variable density of settlements, the layout of the buildings, the condition of the wide driveway, driveway, tree protectors, the location of settlements and the quality of the roof of the building refers to the assessment of the Department of public works. Results show that for 10 years of environmental degradation has occurred in district neighborhoods Genuk, namely in Sembungharjo Village and Genuksari Village. This occurs due to the increased density of settlements and the decline of the tree protectors.

Abstract

Ketinggian bangunan mengandung pengertian identik dengan besarnya beban yang ditanggung oleh lahan. Keberadaan bangunan tinggi yang tidak sesuai dengan kemampuan lahannya dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan lahan dan bencana. Konsep pengaturan ketinggian bangunan merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang harus dipertimbangkan dalam pembangunan keruangan, sehingga dapat menjamin keberadaan ruang-ruang yang berfungsi memproteksi lingkungan alamiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kesesuaian tinggi bangunan di Kota Semarang berdasarkan kemampuan lahan dan arahan pengembangan lahan. Tingkat kemampuan lahan diperoleh melalui analisis Satuan Kemampuan Lahan (SKL) menggunakan variabel fisik-lingkungan. Metode penelitiannya adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan spasial. Memanfaatkan Sistem Informasi Geografis dalam analisisnya dan menggunakan citra penginderaan jauh sebagai sumber data spasial utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Kota Semarang pada tahun 2022 mempunyai kemampuan lahan rendah hingga sangat tinggi untuk dikembangkan sebagai kawasan perkotaan. Kelas kemampuan lahan sangat rendah dan rendah sesuai untuk kawasan yang tidak ada bangunannya, kemampuan lahan kelas sedang dan agak tinggi sesuai untuk bangunan dengan ketinggian maksimum empat lantai dan Kemampuan lahan kelas sangat tinggi sesuai untuk bangunan dengan ketinggian di atas empat lantai. Kesesuaian tinggi bangunan ditentukan berdasarkan kemampuan lahan dengan mepertimbangkan aspek fisik dan lingkungan. Terdapat bangunan di Kota Semarang yang ketinggiannya kurang sesuai. Prosentase paling besar diketahui terdapat di Kecamatan Candisari. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatisipasi kondisi ini perlu dilakukan pengendalian melalui peraturan pendirian bangunan.
