Some pesantrens have accommodated the madrasah or formal school education programs, both the curriculum and the learning methods. One of them is pesantren Attahdzib. This article aimed to describe, analyze, and interpret the ontology of Attahdzib Islamic boarding school curriculum, the process of implementing the curriculum, and the problems of its implementation. It was a qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The results showed that the the curriculum was implemented through some methods such as sorogan, bandongan or wetonan, and memorization. There were 2 types of education systems established in pesantren Attahdzib, namely diniyah education, and formal education. The problems faced in the implementation of curriculum were some teachers’ disciplinary problem, the learning evaluation that sometimes considered hard and burden on students, and the formal schools’ extra-activities that sometimes obstructed the pesantren’s teaching and learning process.

الملخص: لم يتم جهود تعليم اللغة العربية الا بدور المعلمين في الاستراتيجيات عند عملية التعلم. لان التعليم ليس موجهة فقط علي النتائج ، ولكن أيضا علي عملية المنحى. ودور المعلم في الانشطة التعليمية للاستراتيجية المثلي سيبسط العملية ، وكلما زادت فعالية العملية ، كانت النتائج المحققة اعلي أيضا. علماء النفس يقولون ان واحدة من الأشياء التي تؤثر واما أغراض البحث هي لوصف تنفيذ ومشكلات وحَلُّ مشكلات استراتيجية تعليم اللغة العربية لترقية رغبة تعلم الطلاب بالمدرسة الثناوية "الشافعية" جوندانج تولونج أجونج والمدرسة الثناوية "دار الفلاح" بنديل جاتي تولونج أجونج. ومنهج البحث: المدخل الكيفي وتصميم وصفي. طريقة جمع الحقائق: المقابلة، الملاحظة بالمشاركة، الوثيقة. ونتائج البحث: التنفيذ هو لجعل المجموعة، ولتكرير المفردات، والتقييم. المشكلات هي ان القدرة من حيث إتقان اللغة العربية كجزء من العوامل التي لها تاثير علي المصلحة لم يكن ينمو بالتساوي علي المتعلمين. حَلُّ المشكلات هو التمارن على أوراق عمل الطلاب، اعطأ الواجبات المنزلية، إعطاء التوجيهات، مناسبة تطبيق استراتيجيات بمفردات التعليم.

Arabic language has a very important role for Muslims, not only become the religious language (Al-Quran) but also a subject to be developed through curriculum development. Especially in developing the character-based curriculum where the children's moral is decline while the demands always grow. So, it is urgent to make the students’ quality by global standards. The research adjective is to describe how to develop the Arabic language curriculum in line with students’ character building. This is qualitative research that emphasizes the natural phenomenon of the object, that is the Arabic Curriculum Development at MIN 1 Tulungagung, the teacher role in applying the Arabic curriculum and carrying out the curriculum evaluation in the school. The efforts of curriculum development at MIN 1 Tulungagung are (1) Arabic-language routine activities, (2) Exemplary teachers and school staffs, and (3) Creating a good Arabic-speaking environment. The results of the study show that character-based Arabic curriculum development is carried out through: the integration of character values with Arabic subjects, self-development programs, building the values and ethics systems in schools, implementing the values and ethics in learning Arabic, applying various approaches, methods, and strategies.
