Abstract

Smoking is a habit of smoking cigarettes that is carried out in everyday life, is a necessity that cannot be avoided for people who have a tendency towards smoking. Cigarettes are one of the addictive substances that can lead to dependence for the wearer. The addictive nature of cigarettes comes from the nicotine they contain. After someone inhales cigarette smoke, within 7 seconds nicotine will reach the brain. All health experts including the World Health Organization (WHO) have long concluded that smoking has many negative health impacts, especially for children and their future. Cigarettes contain 4000 chemicals with 200 types of which are carcinogenic (can cause cancer), where these toxic materials are found in the main smoke, namely cigarette smoke which is inhaled directly into the smoker's lungs and side smoke, namely cigarette smoke produced by the tip of the cigarette that is burning, for example carbon monoxide, benzopyrene, and ammonia. This PKM activity aims to increase the knowledge of teenagers at SMA N 8 Padangsidimpuan about the dangers of smoking by providing education related to efforts to increase knowledge about MKJP. The method used in carrying out this activity is through lectures and discussions. The results of this PKM activity aim to increase knowledge by providing Communication, Information and Education (IEC) with good KIE there will be a communication process with the dissemination of information that accelerates behavior change from the community.

Abstract

Covid19 has been spreading for more than two years as the epidemic has changed the way people think and live, including Indonesian citizens. PSBB's proposed restrictions continue, but the impact of the epidemic is not only decreasing but increasing. Now the government is rebuilding PPKM, which has blocked its spread and has not seen any decline. Household income decreased during the epidemic, especially the family's ability to meet their needs and income. To meet the needs of the residents of the neighborhood, the Abdimas team prepared a presentation about household income during the epidemic period for the residents of Bintuju Village. The first task is to conduct preliminary research to document the problems in Mindu village. After gathering information and consulting on how to manage household finances in the region. Empirically, it has had a significant impact. These restrictions will have an impact on the local economy, including layoffs, and small business closures, and will affect small businesses that are the family's livelihood. After Abdimas reports to the regular care team, the aim is to assist the family in their difficult times, especially after PPKM regarding work.

Abstract

Pernikahan dini merupakan suatu pernikakan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang yang relatif muda. Umur yang relatif muda yang dimaksud adalah usia pubertas yaitu usia antara 10-19 tahun. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pendidikan kesehatan kepada masyarakat tentang pernikahan dini pada kesehatan reproduksi. Walaupun belum dapat dilakukan secara serentak dan keseluruhan, namun dengan dimulainya dalam komunitas yang kecil diharapkan dapat menjadi awal yang baik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kantor Desa Huta Holbung. Populasi dan sampel pengabdian ini adalah kepada remaja yang masih memerlukan pemahaman terhadap dampak pernikahan dini pada kesehatan reproduksi sebanyak 30 orang. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara penyuluhan Untuk metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan penyuluhan dengan diawali melakukan pendataan bagi pasangan remaja yang menikan usia dini setelah itu dilakukan pemaparan materi. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini diterima antusias oleh peserta yang terlihat dari banyaknya masyarakat yang bertanya seputar informasi tentang pemahaman peserta sosialisasi mengenai bagaimana menyikapi dampak pernikahan dini pada kesehatan reproduksi, bagaimana pencegahan dan komplikasi yang ditimbulkan ,dengan memberikan materi melalui media power point yang disertai dengan gambar yang dapat menunjang kemampuan peserta sosialasisasi agar dapat memahami dengan mudah terkait materi yang diberikan. Disarankan agar kegiatan penyuluhan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat untuk terus aktif dalam menggali pengetahuan terkait bagaimana pola hidup yang baik sehingga dapat terhindar dari penyakit reproduksi

Abstract

Sekolah Tinggi Kesehatan Darmais Padangsidimpuan sebagai salah satu tempat yang dapat dimanfaatkan mahaiswa dan dosen dalam upaya sosialisasi pencegahan penyebaran covid-19 selama bulan Ramadhan ini dan juga mahasiswa dapat memanfaatkan pembelajaran online yang merupakan bagian dari partisipasi mahasiswa yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam menyukseskan program pencegahan penyebaran covid pada masyarakat khususnya di Wilayah Kota Padangsidimpuan. Tujuan Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat agar memberian informasi kepada mahasiswa mengenai pengetahuan tentang pentingnya pengolahan makanan seimbang yang di konsumsi selama puasa serta contoh menu yang sesuai dengan porsi baik saat sahur maupun berbuka puasa di masa covid-19 dan upaya pencegahan penyebaran covid-19 di area STIKes Darmais Padangsidimpuan dan wilayah masayarakat di sekitaran kampus. Sosialisasi dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan poster. Populasi dan sampel pengabdian ini adalah mahasiswa STIKes Darmais Padangsidimpuan dengan jumlah 65 orang. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini diterima antusias oleh oleh para mahasiswa STIKes Darmais Padangsidimpuan yang terlihat dari banyaknya mahasiswa yang bertanya seputar informasi mengenai pengetahuan tentang pentingnya pengolahan makanan seimbang yang di konsumsi selama puasa serta contoh menu yang sesuai dengan porsi baik saat sahur maupun berbuka puasa di masa covid-19 dan upaya pencegahan penyebaran covid-19 di area STIKes Darmais Padangsidimpuan serta upaya deteksi, isoloasi dan proteksi Covid-19 dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Disarankan kegiatan sosialisasi dalam upaya peningkatan pengetahuan pengolahan makanan seimbang atau gizi seimbang dan dalam upaya pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 di STIKes Darmais Padangsidimpuan dapat dilakukan secara berkala dengan frekuensi yang lebih sering dan jangkauan penyebaran informasinya juga dapat diperluas kepada keluarga mahasiswa STIKes Darmais Padangsidimpuan secara umum agar setiap orang, keluarga dan masyarakat lebih mengetahui, memahami dan dapat mempraktikkan pengolahan makanan seimbang atau gizi seimbang yang di konsumsi selama puasa serta contoh menu yang sesuai dengan porsi baik saat sahur maupun berbuka puasa dimasa covi19 dan dalam upaya pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 di STIKes Darmais Padangsidimpuan serta upaya deteksi, isoloasi dan proteksi covid-19 dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang akhirnya dapat meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Abstract

Hypertension can be defined as persistent blood pressure where the systolic pressure is above 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is above 90 mmHg. Hypertension is said to be mild if the diastolic pressure is between 95-104 mmHg, moderate hypertension if the diastolic pressure is between 105 and 114 mmHg and severe hypertension when the diastolic pressure is 115 mmHg or more. This division is based on an increase in diastolic pressure because it is considered more serious than an increase in systolic (Padila, 2013). The wrong diet is one of the risk factors that increase hypertension. Junk food is a major contributor to hypertension. Excess fat intake causes fat levels in the body to increase, especially cholesterol which causes weight gain so that blood volume experiences a greater increase in pressure. Excess sodium intake will increase extracellular causing blood volume which has an impact on the onset of hypertension. Lack of consuming food sources containing potassium causes the amount of sodium to accumulate and will increase the risk of hypertension (Junaedi, et al. 2013).Benteng Huraba Village is one of the villages in Batang Angkola sub-district, South Tapanuli district which has a fairly large number of elderly, the purpose of community service is to provide information to the community, especially the elderly regarding knowledge about hypertension disease counseling in the elderly in Huraba village, Batang Angkola district South Tapanuli with 42 elderly people. The results of this community service were enthusiastically received by the elderly in Benteng Huraba Village as seen from the many elderly who asked about information about the dangers of hypertension and its causes, where the habit of drinking coffee increases the risk of hypertension, but it depends on the frequency of daily consumption. Drinking coffee and smoking can stimulate constriction of blood vessels so that it can increase blood pressure.Knowledge about the importance of knowing the dangers of hypertension is very useful for the community, especially the elderly in Huraba Village, Batang Angkola District, with this knowledge, it is hoped that it will change the wrong lifestyle, change unhealthy habits and family members are expected to be able to maintain diet so that the elderly live healthier.
