Abstract

Mangrove Ecosystem in the Banyuurip Village Ujung Pangkah District Gresik Regency is a coastal area that has a fairly extensive mangrove forest and human activities are also increasing, it will directly affect the existence of biota in the mangrove ecosystem, one of the affected biota are macrobentos. The purpose of this study is to determine the community structure (species composition, average abundance, and relative abundance) and Ecological Index (Diversity Index and Dominance Index) macrobenthos. Determination of the station based on the condition of mangrove forests, substrate and surrounding activities, consisting of 3 stations namely station 1 in residential areas, station 2 at the residents' water gate, station 3 at the river mouth near the ocean. The results obtained were 15 species of macrobenthos diversity, divided into 10 types of Gastropoda class, 4 types of Malacostraca class and 1 type of Polychaeta class. Makrobentos abundance between 114 ind / m2 to 159 ind / m2. Diversity Index between 1.6605 and 2.5737. Dominance Index between 0.0803 to 0.2669. The structure of the macrobenthos community is stable with a diversity of species and the distribution of the number of individuals of each species is evenly distributed, the community is uniform and there are no species that dominate so that the environmental conditions in the Mangrove Ecosystem in Banyuurip Village District Ujung Pangkah Gresik Regency is said to be still good.

Abstract

The increasing cultivation of Vannamei shrimp throughout the archipelago in theaquaculture area lately has made some farmers try to cultivate vannamei shrimp in freshwaterponds, and even exploring farmer groups in urban areas also try to cultivate vannamei shrimp infresh water by utilizing less productive land. Vannamei shrimp that have a high tolerance tosalinity, ie from 2 to 40 ppt, and will even grow quickly at lower salinity. The condition ofshrimp adapted to salinity then made some farmers try to cultivate vannamei shrimp in freshwater through an acclimatization process and successfully carried out shrimp farming at lowsalinity at 2 ppt salinity. Cultivation of vannamei shrimp in fresh water has several advantagesincluding: resistance to the risk of contracting shrimp disease caused by viruses and bacteria thatinfect many shrimp in brackish water. The aim of the activity is to improve the ability andcapacity of the group through counseling and training on how to make good shrimp farming sothat it can increase production efficiency and productivity and minimize the risk of failure ofvannamei shrimp farming. The approach method used to overcome the problems faced by theGotong Royong farmer group is by way of an ongoing participatory approach between theproposing team and partners, as the controller of the Community Partnership program which hasan active role in providing assistance and periodic guidance to partners. From the results of thisactivity the following conclusions were obtained: (1) Cultivation of vannamei shrimp(Litopenaeus Vannamei) on the grounds in the Mutual Cooperation Group was received withgreat enthusiasm, and asked to be accompanied from pond preparation, fry selection, frystocking, monitoring to harvest. (2) The key to the success of shrimp farming in freshwater inurban yards is the selection of fries adapted to fresh water and monitoring water quality andfeeding during cultivation. Keywords: Cultivation, Vannamei, Yard, Intensive, Mutual Cooperation

Abstract

Abstract

Comet fish (Carassius auratus) is a freshwater ornamental fish which is quite well known among the public. The attractiveness of ornamental fish can be measured by its brilliant color, shape, physical fitness, behavior and state of health or stamina. Purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L. poiret) has high antioxidant compounds, in addition to the anthocyanins present in sweet potatoes, vitamin C, vitamin E, lutein, zeaxanthin, and β-carotene which are carotenoid antioxidant pairs. This study aims to determine the increase in the color of koi fish after being given artificial feed added purple sweet potato. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments, tested for 30 days. The comet fish used were 2-3 months old and 5-6 cm in size. From the results of the study, the addition of purple sweet potato juice to the feed had an effect on increasing the color of comet fish whereas treatment C with a dose of 50 ml resulted in an increase in comet fish color with the highest average of 28, 53 RGB.
