Abstract

Perilaku merokok merupakan permasalahan yang serius dari tahun ke tahun, terutama di kalangan remaja. Bahaya merokok diantaranya menyebabkan penyakit paru-paru kronis, stroke dan serangan jantung (P2PTM Kemenkes RI, 2018). Hasil preliminary study di dusun Petir didapatkan bahwa perilaku merokok di kalangan remaja sebesar 60%. Selain itu, banyak warga dan tokoh masyarakat yang merokok di dusun tersebut. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan metode pengurangan perilaku merokok melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pengabdian masyarakat telah dilaksanakan di dusun Petir, Desa Srimartani, Kecamatan Piyungan, Kabupaten Bantul, DIY. Pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan selama 5 minggu. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mencapai kawasan tanpa asap rokok melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap penyadaran, tahap pengkapasitasan dan tahap pendayaan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi: 1) peningkatan kesadaran warga terhadap bahaya merokok, 2) peningkatan kapasitas dalam penanganan masalah rokok, 3) menyepakati kawasan tanpa asap rokok.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is still engulfing the world today. The number of morbidity and mortality due to COVID-19 is increasing every day. ARI is one of the symptoms that show Covid-19. Almost every toddler experiences ARI in life. Toddlers who are placed in child care have a high risk of transmitting and contracting ARI. Community service activities aim to provide education on Prevention of Transmission of ARI in Toddler Children During the Covid-19 Pandemic so that preventive thinking can be achieved. The method used in this community service activity is interactive lectures and discussions. This community service activity resulted in four discussions, namely how to deal with colds that don't go away, how to measure the dose of paracetamol for babies aged 1 year, if the drug is bought from a pharmacy, natural cough medicine for babies 1 year and over and cough cold treatment for babies 1 year old. down. Abstract

Singapore flu is an infectious disease that is very easy to spread, especially in schools and occurs in toddlers. Based on the request of KB and TPA Bunayya ICBB, to help the problem of Singapore flu suffered by toddlers, community service was conducted by giving counseling and presentation. The service aimed to increase the knowledge of parents of toddlers about the Singapore flu. The participants of this activity were parents of children under five at the KB and TPA Bunayya ICBB as many as 22 people. The method is the empowerment of parents and the school, namely problem assessment, solution planning, implementation to evaluation involving parents and the school. This activity was carried out for 1 month from May 24 – June 27, 2022. The results of the activity found that the average score before education was 76 and the average score after education was 100. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that Singapore flu education can increase the knowledge of parents of toddlers.
