Abstract

This study to analyze and describe the educational values of characters contained in java textbooks of elementary school of curriculum DIY. This research expected to produce the findings on any character education in accodance with the guide lines of character education and culture of the ministry of National Education and Culture. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach in order to describe the educational values of characters cntained in Java textbooks of Elementary School of Curriculum DIY the published by Erlangga, Tiga Serangkai, and Yudistira. Based on research that has been done is produced findings that not all the values of character education according to the guidelines of character education and culture of the Ministry of National Education and Culture totaling eighteen value of character education, contained in the Java language textbook published by Yudistira, Erlangga, and the Tiga Serangkai. Therefore, researchers gave suggestions to the author of textbooks, in order to pay more attention to the contents of the content of a book he wrote. Especially in terms of integrating the values of education. then for teachers, to be more selective in choosing books that will be used to teach. On the other hand, teachers should know and understand the values of character education contained in the book uses.Keywords: character, textbooks, javanesse language

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan menyimak melalui penerapan teknik 5R pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi.Penelitian ini dilakukan di Prodi PGSD FKIP UST Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian tindakan ini adalah mahasiswa semester 2 yang menempuh mata kuliah KBIL di Prodi PGSD FKIP UST tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, angket, wawancara atau diskusi, kajian dokumen, dan tes. Selanjutnya, untuk pemeriksaan validitas data digunakan triangulasi dan review informasi kunci. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik deskripsi komparatif untuk membandingkan hasil antar siklus. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu menunjukkan mahasiswa yang tidak tuntas pada prasiklus sebanyak 30 mahasiswa atau sebesar 65,22%, siklus I 41,31% atau 19 mahasiswa dan pada siklus II 10,87% atau 5 mahasiswa. Di sisi lain, terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan belajar yaitu pada prasiklus 34,78% atau 16 mahasiswa, meningkat menjadi 58,69% atau 27 mahasiswa pada siklus I dan 89,13% atau 41 mahasiswa pada siklus II. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata pada prasiklus hanya mencapai rata-rata 64,13 dan mengalami peningkatan menjadi 73,67 pada siklus I serta menjadi 83 pada siklus II.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of humanitarian feature learning media in enhancing the ability to write a short story class X SMAN 2 Bantul. Research design with a quasi-experimental wich design of a control group of non - equivalence. The sample in this research was 72 students, divided into experimental class ( X. IPA2 ) and the control class (X. IPA 4). The collection of data through tests that test writing short stories, questionnaires, and interviews. T-test calculation results showed that the scores t is greater than t table ( th = 4,804 > tt = 1,980 ) at the significance level of 5% with db 70. Shceffe test calculation results between groups using data posttest control group and the experimental group obtained F count ( F'h = 21.392 ) is greater than the F table ( F't = 3.985 ) with 70 db at significance level of 5 %. This suggests that learning to write short stories using learning media feature of humanity in the experimental group was more effective than learning to write short stories without using learning media feature of humanity in the control group. The questionnaire results showed that the majority of students, 55.5 % feel learning media feature given humanity, capable of inspiring them both in terms of appearance and structure of the short story ideas that include titles, conflict, character, setting, and problem resolution . The works of students who use the medium of learning in the form of human features appear to be more structured , both in terms of the appearance of ideas ranging from story ideas, titles, and logical thinking as well as the structure of the short story ( plot, setting, and characterization). Abstract

This study aims to describe the discourse structure used in Nyadran Agung ritual which was held in Kulon Progo District. The data of the research are words (utterances) and material elements in the ritual. The data are collected through observation and in-depth interview. The collected data are validated using key informant review, source triangulation and method. To analyze the data, the researchers perform interactive analysis technique and Teun Van Dijk’s model of discourse analysis. The result shows that discourse structures of Nyadran Agung ritual are divided into macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure. The macro structure covers social-culture, religious value, tolerance, and mutual assistance. The superstructure covers pre-preface, preface, content, and closing. The micro structure is observed from the sentence types used during the ritual which covers declarative and imperative (politeness, request, hope, and invitation) sentences.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur wacana ritual Nyadran Agung di Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata (tuturan) dan unsur material dalam ritual Nyadran Agung. Data diperoleh dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Data yang telah diperoleh divalidasi dengan review informan kunci, triangulasi sumber, dan metode. Data yang telah divalidasi dianalisis dengan teknik analisis interaktif dan model analisis wacana Teun Van Dijk. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur wacana dalam ritual Nyadran Agung terbagi menjadi struktur makro, superstruktur, dan struktur mikro. Struktur makro ritual Nyadran Agung, yaitu sosial-budaya, religius, toleransi, dan gotong royong. Superstruktur dalam ritual Nyadran Agung terbagi menjadi empat bagian, yaitu prapendahuluan, pendahuluan, isi, dan penutup. Struktur mikro dilihat dari jenis kalimat, dalam ritual Nyadran Agung ditemukan kalimat deklaratif, imperatif (santun, permintaan, harapan, dan ajakan).
