Abstract

since formerly, In Indonesia, it has been long known the terms prolapsesd uterus and prolapsed upside down. Prolapsed uterus is a very rare condition. The frequency of prolapsed uterus in Indonesia is only 1.5%. Most occur at an older age than a young age. This is caused by weakness of the muscles and fascia structures at a later age. Based on the book of Opname list in Santa Elisabeth room at Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan period from January 2017 to May 2018 as many as 15 medical records. Based on the list of Opname shows prolapsed uterus at age> 70 years for 5 people and at age> 30-70 years for 9 people and at age <30 years for 1 person.Goals : The writer are expected to be skilled in giving midwifery care to the elderly age of 74 years with prolapsed uterus level II through Varney management approach.Methods: This report was a survey study report with Descriptive method, the location of this case study was at Santa Elisabeth room of Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan. Subjects of case studies taken by the writer were the Elderly conducted on March 09 to March 14, 2018. Techniques of collecting data were through subjective and objective.data collection.Result: After 5 days of midwifery care for the elderly, by performing vaginal hysterectomy surgery, performing postoperative care well, generally, the condition of mother is good, physical examination results in normal limits, the mother can do the activity as before and the problem is partially resolved .Conclution : Mothers are expected to maintai

Abstract

HIV infection and AIDS are the global public health problem. Having another sex partner may increase the risk of HIV infection. Goals : This study aimed to determine the effect of having another sex partner on the incidence of HIV infection in couples in Medan. Method: This was an analytic observational study with a case-control design. The study was conducted at RSUP H Adam Malik Medan, North Sumatera, from November to December 2017. A sample of 80 housewives was selected for this study by fixed disease sampling consisting of 40 HIV infected housewives and 40 HIV uninfected housewives. The dependent variable was HIV infection. The independent variable was having another sex partner. Results: The results of multivariate analysis demonstrated that husband’s occupation (OR = 6.223), having another sexual partner (OR = 6.823) Conclusion: Couples who have another sexual partner have an increased risk of HIV infection.

Abstract

The husband is the person who plays an important role in assisting the mother during the birth process to provide support and motivation for the mother, so that labor can take place smoothly and reduce the occurrence of complications for both mother and fetus. Goals: The purpose of this study was to determine the level of husband's knowledge about maternal assistance during labor in Medan Pera Clinic for the period March-September 2019. Method: This study is descriptive in nature with a cross sectional study design of 30 respondents and uses a total population method that uses secondary data from the clinical labor registration book and primary data from questionnaires submitted to each respondent. Results: The results of the study were obtained based on the level of knowledge with the most lack of knowledge, namely 66.67%, followed by those with sufficient knowledge, namely 26.67%, and the least knowledgeable, namely 6.67%. Based on the demographics of respondents based on education most had high school educational background of 76.67%, based on the number of children who had the most 2-5 children as many as 63.33%, based on work, most worked as entrepreneurs, as many as 83.33%, based on the source of information most obtained information from the environment that is as much as 56.67%. Conclusion: Health workers are expected to motivate more husbands to be able to prepare themselves early in assisting mothers during the delivery process so that the husbands not only know but also carry out what is already known about childbirth companions.

Abstract

Introduction. Pregnancy has an important effect on personal hygiene. Pregnant women are very susceptible to disease. Health and dental hygiene conditions, vaginal hygiene, nail hygiene, and hair hygiene in poor pregnant women can have an impact such as preterm birth, and babies with low birth weight (LBW). The purpose of this research is to find out the level of knowledge of mothers based on parity, age, education, work, and income. Method. This study is descriptive and the population taken as many as 29 pregnant women. Data retrieval is done by NonProbability Sampling technique with the Total Sampling method and carried out by means of direct interviews with respondents assisted with questionnaires.Elisabteh Health Journal : Jurnal Kesehatan, Vol. V No. 01 (Juni,2020) : V-01 E-ISSN 2541-4992Result. Data analysis is performed by univariate analysis. The results of the study of the knowledge of pregnant women on personal hygiene during pregnancy atRomauli Clinic 2019 found that most of the knowledge are 18 people (72%), based on parity, 14 primiparas (56%), based on age, respondents aged 20 -35 years are 23 people (92%), based on senior high school education are 17 people (68%), based on work, respondents were in housewives are 14 people (56%), based on income, there are respondents average in income Rp. 1,500,000 - Rp 2,500,000 for 12 people (48%). Discussion. From the results of the data above the authors conclude that the knowledge of pregnant women at Romauli Clinic has sufficient knowledge about personal hygiene during pregnancy. It is expected that pregnant women can maintain personal hygiene during pregnancy to prevent complications from pregnancy.
