Abstract

Based on the research by the Sexuality and Gender Study Center of University of Indonesia, the rate of early marriage in Indonesia is the second highest in Southeast Asian in which 2 million out of 7.3 million women below 15 years old are married and drop out from school. Early marriage hinders them from going to school, causes pregnancy and birth complication, impedes the achievement of KB (Family Planning) Program and increases divorce rate. Goals : The objective of the research was to discover the correlation of value of virginity, knowledge and trust with early marriage at Dusun I Desa Baru. Methods: This is an observational analytical research with cross sectional design. It was done at Dusun I Desa Baru, Pancur Batu Subdistrict from November, 2017 until February, 2018. The population covered the teenagers below 20 years old which was all taken as the research samples i.e. 139 people. The dependent variable was early marriage, while the independent variables were parent income, trust, knowledge and value of virginity. The data were collected through questionnaires. Multiple logistic regression testing was employed to analyze the data. Result : The research results demonstrated that the variable with the most dominant influence was parent income at p-value = 0.006 (p<0.05) and Exp. β value = 3.675, followed by the variable of trust at p-value = 0.027 (p<0.05) and Exp. β value = 2.368, the variable of knowledge at p-value = 0.003 (p<0.05) and Exp. β value 6.064, and the variable of virginity at p-value = 0.003 (p<0.05) and Exp. Β value = 6.064. Based on these results, it was concluded that f(y) was 97%. It indicated that the probability of the variables of parent income, trust, knowledge and virginity influenced early marriage of 97.7%. Conclusion: It is recommended that the local government cooperate with local Puskesmas, Religious Figures, and Parents to conduct counseling to improve people’s knowledge of the ideal age to get married, so that they can prevent from possible problems due to early marriage and provide their children parent income at early age the importance of protecting their virginity until they get married.

Abstract

Mastitis is a problem in the breast that is characterized by pain caused by inflammation of the breast which can be accompanied by infection or non-infection. Mother's lack of knowledge about the breastfeeding process can cause errors in breastfeeding positions which result in blisters on the mother's nipples. In addition, it also causes the process of releasing and releasing breast milk that is less than optimal, causing breast engorgement. This study aims to determine the relationship between postpartum mother's education and knowledge about Mastitis in the Romauli Independent Midwife Practice in 2021. This study used a descriptive correlation method. The sample in this study was postpartum mothers 0-42 days in labor and postpartum visits at the Romauli Independent Midwife Practice in 2021 with a total of 30 respondents. Researchers used primary data and the data were processed using SPSS and presented using open tables. The relationship between postpartum mother's education and knowledge about mastitis at the Romauli Independent Midwife Practice in 2021 based on the results of the Spearman's-rank test, p-value = 0.009 (p<0.05) which means that there is a relationship between postpartum mother's education and knowledge of mastitis with sufficient strength of the relationship. Knowledge of postpartum mothers about mastitis can be influenced by important factors, one of which is education. The higher a person's education, the better his knowledge will be.

Abstract

Background : Menstruation can be defined as regular bleeding from the uterus as a sign that the uterine organs are functioning properly or are ready to reproduce. Generally, teenagers who experience their first menstruation (menarche) are at the age of 12 to 16 years. A normal menstrual cycle will occur every 22-35 days with a menstrual period of approximately 2-7 days. Menstruation can be troublesome for girls, this is generally due to lack of or incorrect information about menstruation. Generally people are afraid to see blood, especially children. His ignorance can lead to it mistakenly, linking menstruation to illness or injury and even viewing it as something shameful, for not getting a proper explanation. Objective : To describe the knowledge of seventh grade students about menstrual cycle patterns in adolescents at SMP Negeri 2 dolok pardamean Research method : The design of this study user a quantitative descriptive method, with a Cross Sectional research design using a population of 45 and a sample of 45 samples, with a sampling technique. by Aqidental sampling, and in collecting data using a questionnaire with univariate analysis, frequency and percent. The conclusion is based on the results of the study with a sample of 45 respondents regarding the description of the knowledge of class VII students about the menstrual cycle pattern at SMP Negeri 2 Dolok Pardamean Simalungun Regency. Suggestion to learn all about the menstrual cycle pattern in schools at SMP Negeri 2 Dolok Pardamean, Simalungun Regency. It is hoped that there will be material about menstruation in learning outcomes in order to access some about menstruation both through books and social media.

Abstract

To detect breast cancer early, the effort that women can do by means of Breast Self-Examination or BSE. BSE is an increase in a woman's interest in the state of her own breasts. Women's knowledge still minimal about accurate information on breast cancer and early detection efforts. Understanding of breast cancer and early detection efforts still need to be improved so that the chances of recovery and the number of life ambitions increase. So that the morbidity and mortality of breast cancer sufferers reduced and the quality of life of breast cancer patients is increased. To describe the knowledge of S1 Nursing Study Program Students Semester II STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan about BSE the Santa Agnes Girls Dormitory in 2022. This type of research is descriptive with a total sampling technique with data collection techniques carried out using a questionnaire distributed via google form. The results of 80 respondents who had sufficient knowledge were 63 respondents (79%) and 17 respondents (21%). Students are expected to increase their knowledge about BSE by digging more information about BSE, through the internet or other mass media. Thus, students more confident in implementing and carrying out breast self-examination measures within themselves, so that breast cancer detected as early as possible and the number of breast cancer sufferers decrease.
