Abstract

The need to develop models of learning dance at school Teacher Education students (PGSD) due to the learning model used has not been optimally achieve the expected learning. The results of discussions with the students explained that the measures were implemented learning model can not push the imagination to express motions creatively, students tend to imitate because there is no practical guidelines that help in creative expression. Based on this, is necessary to develop a creative dance learning model to address learning problems PGSD dance students. Referring to the theories put forward, component design study model for PGSD dance which will be developed using: 1) a creative approach, 2) exploratory methods, and 3) the assignment technique, improvisation, and teamwork. This design is called "design of this model dance creative to PGSD" with the stage (syntax) models: a) Prapembelajaran, b) Phase 1: Observation of the stimulus, c) Phase 2: Exploration of motion, d) Phase 3: Improvisation motion in group , e) Phase 4: Preparation of dance movement, f) Phase 5: Presentation of the group, g) Post-learning. The development of creative dance learning model will be able to encourage the creativity of expression and processing of student imagination in producing forms or creations dance and skilled in expressing it.Keywords: learning model, dance practice, ability

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of critical thinking skills with the problem-based learning model in IPAS learning for fourth grade elementary school students. This research was conducted at SDN 64/I Muara Bulian, Muara Bulian sub-district, Batanghari district, Jambi province. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a qualitative approach. The research data was obtained by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection in this study was carried out through interviews, observation through observation sheets of students’ critical thinking skills, observation sheets of educator activities carrying out learning activities, and documentation. The results of this study were an increase in critical thinking skills in fourth grade students at SDN 64/I Muara Bulian after applying the problem-based learning model at each meeting in each cycle
