Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to determine the optimal density of Anadara granosa in decreasing the value of suspended solids in intensive shrimp farm waste and comparing the ability of  filtration rate in decreasing the value of suspended solids in intensive shrimp farm waste. This research was conducted from May 15 to 25, 2019 in Bioecology Laboratory Aquaculture Study Program, University of Mataram. This study used a Completely Randomized Design with five treatments, namely P1 treatment (without Anadara granosa), P2 treatment (5 individu / 10 liters of water), P3 treatment (10 individu / 10 liters of water). P4 treatment (20 individu / 10 liters of water), P5 treatment (30 individu /10 liters of water) and each treatment had 3 replications. The results showed that there was an effect that was not significantly different (p 0.05) on Total Suspended Solid (TSS), but significantly different (p 0.05) on the rate of filtration so that further tests were conducted using Tukey to find out whether or not differences between each individual treatment. The density of P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5 gives results that are not significantly different or have the same effect in absorbing or reducing organic matter in intensive shrimp pond waste and the highest filtration rate obtained in treatment 2 is 46.83 ml / hour.Keyword: Suspended solids, cultivation, absorption, food, organic matter, bivalves.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepadatan kerang darah yang optimal dalam penurunan nilai padatan tersuspensi pada limbah tambak udang intensif dan membandingkan kemampuan laju filtrasi kerang darah dalam penurunan nilai padatan tersuspensi pada limbah tambak udang intensif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 15 sampai 25 mei 2019 di Laboratorium Bioekologi Perairan Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Universitas Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan lima perlakuan, yaitu perlakuan P1 (tanpa kerang darah), perlakuan P2 (5 ekor/10 liter air), perlakuan P3 (10 ekor/10 liter air), perlakuan P4 (20 ekor/10 liter air), perlakuan P5 (30 ekor 10 liter air) dan setiap perlakuan memiliki 3 ulangan sehingga total percobaan sebanyak 15 unit. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang tidak berbeda nyata (p0,05) terhadap Total Suspended Solid (TSS), namun berbeda nyata (p0,05) terhadap laju filtrasi kerang darah sehingga dilakukan uji lanjut  menggunakan Tukey untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan antar tiap individu perlakuan. Kepadatan kerang darah pada P1, P2, P3, P4, dan P5 memberikan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata dalam mengurangi bahan organik pada limbah tambak udang intensif dan kecepatan filtrasi yang paling tinggi yaitu 46.83 ml/jam diperoleh pada perlakuan 2.
