Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the balanced scorecard as an alternative tool for school management systems in the 21st century as it is today. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques carried out by literature review / literature study relating to the concept of balanced scorecard and school management. The results showed that the concept of balanced scorecard is not only used for work measurement systems, but also used as a management system. This Balanced Scorecard can be used for the development of measurement systems as well as a means, which essentially involves the management system, especially strategic management. The balanced scorecard is a management tool that translates the organization's vision, mission and strategy into a comprehensive set of performance measurements to produce an organizational performance measurement framework through several perspectives: financial, customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth.

Abstract

Era 4.0 merupakan era revolusi industri teknologi yang secara fundamental akan mengubah paradigma berpikir dan cara kerja. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apa saja problematika yang dihadapi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi Islam dalam menyongsong era 4.0. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi literatur. Studi literatur bisa didapat dari berbagai sumber, jurnal, buku, dokumentasi, internet dan pustaka. sedangkan analisis data dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa problematika yang dihadapi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia yaitu bahwa perpustakaan perguruan tinggi Islam tidak hanya mengedepankan peran tradisional dengan menyediakan sarana fisik semata, tetapi lebih dari sekedar itu pihak perpustakaan harus juga memahami value perpustakaannya, berkaitan dengan value ini tentunya merupakan suatu hal yang belum diimplementasikan di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia, hal ini diindikasikan dengan masih banyaknya perpustakaan yang mengedepankan pengembangan sarana fisik semata, akan tetapi valuenya masih dikesampingkan. Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia selain menghadapi perkembangan teknologi yang amat pesat, juga perlu siap menghadapi perubahan dalam perilaku pengguna yang ikut berubah sesuai perkembangan zaman. Problematika lainnya adalah aspek dari misi perguruan tinggi, yaitu mengembangkan dan memajukan penelitian. Gerakan open access juga merupakan salah satu tantangan yang harus segera dijawab oleh pihak perpustakaan perguruan tinggi Islam. Kemudian tantangan untuk mengakomodasi perubahan pesat dalam pengajaran yang juga amat dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan penggunaan teknologi informasi seperti sekarang ini.

Abstract

The era of 4.0 is the era of technological industrial revolution which will fundamentally change the paradigm of thinking and how to work. This paper aims to analyze what are the challenges of Islamic higher education libraries in the face of era 4.0. This type of research is a literature study. Literature studies can be obtained from various sources, journals, books, documentation, internet and literature. while analyzing data with descriptive analysis method. The results show that there are several challenges for Islamic higher education libraries in Indonesia in era 4.0, namely libraries not only prioritize traditional roles by providing physical facilities, but more than that the library must also understand the value of the library. The library of Islamic universities in Indonesia in addition to facing very rapid technological developments, also needs to be ready to face changes in user behavior that also change according to the times. The other challenge is the aspect of the university's mission, which is developing and advancing research. The open access movement is also one of the challenges that must be answered immediately by the Islamic university libraries. Then the challenge to accommodate the rapid changes in teaching is also greatly influenced by the development of the use of information technology as it is today.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the direction and policy of developing the IAIN Curup’s Library facing the industrial era 4.0. This type of research is qualitative, using a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using surveys, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis using analytic qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that there were several directions and policies carried out and prepared by the IAIN Curup’s Library in the face of era 4.0, namely the first, collection service policies and directions, through increasing digital collections and developing library services for accessing digital collections, developing access to resources open learning or open educational resources, increasing collaboration with other libraries to expand access to information; second, the direction and policy of facilities and infrastructure, through adding library facilities for wider access to electronic information sources. Includes: adding servers, adding PCs, and access points, and increasing internet capacity or bandwidth; third, the direction and policy of human resources, through encouraging librarians to participate in the Development of Sustainable Competency Competencies or PKB. Both those held locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, conduct research or scientific studies on librarianship, and comparative studies between libraries; fourth, good management direction and policy, through the development of a standard-based library management system and accreditation at the National Standards of University’s Library reference No. 13 of 2017 also other standards such as IFLA, compiling standard operating procedures, and making library development strategic plans.

Abstract

The Library’s College had a very urgent role in scholarly communication. Scholarly communication can run smoothly if the interest group as a chain functions properly. All components have an important role to create a healthy scholarly communication. The library as one of the interest groups has a strategic position in it. This paper emphasizes the optimalization of the role of the library’s college as one of the interest groups in the chain of scholarly communication. Various interest groups color the process of scholarly communication. The library functions as an information center that collects and disseminates various types of works both in scientific and non-categorized categories, including providing e-resources for researchers and academics in conducting research and innovation. In order for research and innovation in universities to run optimally, the library must communicate it to users (researchers / lecturers). Therefore, libraries need to make policies in terms of the types of e-resources that are available and served in libraries, access rights, network infrastructure and the internet to human resources in this case librarians. If all of the above elements are properly considered, the library can directly carry out its roles and functions properly as expected by a scholarly communication system.
