Abstract

Multiplication of multiantagonist Trichoderma sp. and Streptomyces sp. done on agar plates and liquid media covered for multiplication and facilitate cell harvesting. Root suspension containing microorganisms and humic liquid is a biopesticide and fertilizer material that was expected to be more effective for biodegradation of biological agents to have more value. This study aims to determine the ability of life and propagation Trichoderma sp. and Streptomyces sp. in root suspension, humic liquid and sugar potato extract. This study used a descriptive observations on days 10th, 14th and 17th before inoculation of Trichoderma sp. and Streptomyces sp showed that in liquid humic medium there are microorganisms but fewer number of microorganisms on root suspension media. The 17th day after inoculation of the Trichoderma sp. and Streptomyces sp showed that in the humic liquid medium, the biological agent did not grow, while the root suspension medium was only Streptomyces growing but not as much as developed on sugar potato extract.

Abstract

Rice plants are often disturbed by plant-disturbing organisms (OPT) which results in decreased quality and quantity of rice production. efforts to increase the production of materials, in order to obtain production results with high quality and strength is by means of integrated pest control (IPM). The problem of pests and plant diseases is an inseparable part of plant cultivation. The use of biological agents is very cost effective and reduces the negative effects caused by the use of chemical pesticides. Microorganisms are biological agents capable of controlling insect pests. Genus Steptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. produce the enzyme chitinase. This study aims to determine the effect of the biological agency application Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. on the type, composition, and population of insects, the index of pest diversity on rice fields in Mojotengah Village, Gresik Regency. This study used a survey method using direct observation, insect capture was carried out using a sweep net, a yellow sticky trap, and a pitfall trap. The results of research on rice fields with insect populations found on land with biological agency applications were 280 individuals and 775 individuals without biological agency. Application of biological agents to Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. affect the number of pest populations. Application of biological agents to Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. effect on the index value of species diversity including the medium category, the evenness index on the two lands is in the medium category, the species richness index shows the high species richness level in both lands, the dominance index shows the value is included in the medium category.

Abstract

Pengembangan perkebunan mangga berbasis organik di Desa Oro-Oro Ombokulon Kabupaten Pasuruan merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan nilai jual mangga. Pengembangan perkebunan mangga organik sejalan dengan upaya mengurangi dampak perubahan iklim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, 1) menganalisis faktor internal dan eksternal pengembangan kebun mangga berbasis organik 2) menyusun alternatif strategi pengembangan kebun mangga organik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, dengan menggunakan analisis Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, dan Threats (SWOT). Hasil identifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal diperoleh beberapa faktor utama seperti: ketersediaan bahan baku pembuatan pupuk dan pestisida organik, kemauan dan keterampilan petani, keunikan varietas mangga, penurunan produktivitas pada masa transisi, produk organik memiliki nilai jual yang lebih tinggi, pupuk dan pestisida organik sebagai produk sampingan, dan ancaman munculnya pesaing. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT diperoleh kombinasi strategi SO, WO, ST, dan WT yang dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan perkebunan mangga berbasis organik. Beberapa strategi tersebut antara lain pengembangan produk pupuk dan pestisida organik berbasis bahan baku lokal, pengembangan agrowisata mangga organik, pengembangan keterampilan dan penguatan kelembagaan, pengembangan budidaya komoditas musiman yang dapat berdampingan dengan tanaman mangga, promosi dengan menonjolkan keunikan produk, mengajukan paten/hak kekayaan intelektual/lisensi organik atas produk, serta menjalin kerjasama dengan mitra.
