Abstract

Stroke in the elderly should get attention, especially the family in the form of providing support to the elderly after stroke. Family support for the elderly after stroke is expected to increase the independence of the elderly in daily living (ADL) activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and the level of independence in activity daily living (ADL) in the elderly after stroke at the Neurology Polyclinic of Sufina Aziz General Hospital Medan. This study uses descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach. This study was carried out on March 21, 2022 to April 2, 2022. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling with a total of 30 patients. Then the data is processed starting from editing, coding, tabulating, entry and processing. The results showed that the support given by the family to the elderly after stroke who sought treatment at the Neurology Polyclinic of Sufina Aziz General Hospital Medan was quite good and the level of independence in Activity Daily Living (ADL) in the Post-Stroke Elderly at the Neurology Polyclinic of Sufina Aziz General Hospital Medan was mild dependence. Based on the results of the chi-square test, it can be concluded that the relationship between family support and the level of independence in daily living (ADL) in the elderly after stroke at the Neurology Polyclinic of Sufina Aziz General Hospital Medan with p value = 0.012 a<0.05.

Abstract

Massage has many benefits on the human body system such as reducing muscle pain, on the cardiovascular system can increase circulation and stimulate blood flow throughout the body, can also stimulate skin cell regeneration and help in the body's barrier, as well as its effect on the nervous system canreduce the risk of impaired sleep quality.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of back massage therapy on sleep quality in the elderly at the Tanjung Medan Health Center in 2022. This type of research is a quantitative study with pre-experimental research methods.The population in this study were all children who were circumcised in August in theFathiyah Husada Medical Center. Sampling technique withpurposive sampling, the number of samples as many as 15 people. The instrument used is the questionnaire sheetfamily sleep qualityand observation sheets, namely SOP) Standard Operating Procedures. Data analysis was carried out with univariate and bivariate using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study thatSupport SystemGood families reach 12 families (57.1%), therefore the majority in the Family Support System are "Good". Child's anxiety levelmild majority as many as 9 respondents (42.9%). Statistical test results with Wilcoxon's test Back Massage Therapy on Sleep Quality in the ElderlyinTanjung Medan Health Center in 2022value is obtained. of 0.05. The conclusions of the research are:The Effect of Back Massage Therapy on Sleep Quality in the Elderly at Tanjung Medan Health Center in 2022. It is hoped that the research site will further improve the quality of service and maintain it.

Abstract

Prisoners are a form of life that is difficult to accept, both by themselves and by others in the community, many families of convicts who do not provide support for prisoners are even neglected, so researchers are interested in researching the relationship between family support and self-concept of prisoners at home. State Prisoners (RUTAN) Class 1 Labuhan Deli Medan in 2022. This study uses direct observational research, namely data collection by direct observation of respondents with a cross-sectional time approach. ) Class 1 Labuhan Deli Medan which amounted to 436 people in May 2022, the sampling method in this study was carried out using purposive sampling as many as 81 people, test data analysis with statistical tests in this study, used the chi square formula (kai squared). The results of this study There is a significant relationship between family support and self-concept of prisoners in the Class 1 State Detention Center (RUTAN) Labuhan Deli Medan in 2022, with a p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). The conclusion in this study from this means that the higher the family support provided, the more positive the self-concept of prisoners in the Class 1 State Detention Center (RUTAN) Labuhan Deli Medan. Suggestions The results of this study can provide additional information, especially mental and community nursing practices in providing mental nursing services in certain communities that are alienated from society such as prisoners in the Class 1 State Detention Center (RUTAN) Labuhan Deli Medan who require holistic (holistic) services. especially mental nursing services so that people

Abstract

Knowledge or cognitive is a very important domain for the formation of one's actions. With this knowledge, people will understand how to act to prevent COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and parents' perceptions of covid 19 vaccination in children in the UPTD area of the Sri Padang Tebing Tinggi Health Center in 2022. This research method used descriptive design (cross sectional), the population in this study were children who were vaccinated at the Sri Padang Cliff Health Center and the sampling technique used the accedental sampling technique, the number of samples was 36 people. The data analysis used was univariate analysis. and bivariate using chi-squaree test. The results obtained from 36 respondents showed that the majority had good knowledge while PParent's perception of COVID-19 vaccination in children is positive. Bivariately the results of the study showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and parents' perceptions of COVID-19 vaccination in children in the uptd area of the Sri Padang Cliff Public Health Center in 2022 which was marked by the statistical test results obtained p-value 0.000 < = 0.05. The conclusion in this study is that there is a statistically significant relationship between knowledge and parents' perceptions of covid 19 vaccination in children in the UPTD area of the Sri Padang Tebing Tinggi Health Center in 2022.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder disease characterized by loss of carbohydrate tolerance. Problems with the quality of life of DM patients are quite complex problems. This will affect several aspects of life, DM conditions that are not managed properly in the long term will contribute to the occurrence of chronic complications. This will have an impact on the patient's quality of life. Decreased quality of life can affect the life expectancy of DM patients and can significantly affect the increase in mortality. This study aims to determine the determinants of internal health locus of control and external health locus of control as predictors of quality of life in type 2 diabetes patients in Tetunyung village, East Takengon in 2021. This study used a cross-sectional study design, the population in this study were Type-2 diabetes mellitus sufferers in Tetunyung Takengon Timur Village as many as 103 Type-2 DM sufferers. The sample in this study was selected by purposive sampling with the criteria of Type 2 DM sufferers with a total of 40 patients. Research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Bivariate analysis using multiple linear regression. The results of the study found that what affects the quality of life in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus is the internal locus of control as much as 66%. The results of calculations using the SPSS program with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between locus of control and quality of life where when individuals with good locus of control will produce a good quality of life.
