Abstract

Membaca itu sangat penting karena membaca adalah suatu proses yang dilakukan untuk memperoleh pesan atau informasi. Selain untuk mendapatkan informasi, membaca juga bermanfaat untuk memahami seluruh informasi yang tertera dalam teks bacaan sehingga dapat menjadi bekal ilmu pengetahuan (pengembangan intelektual) untuk masa depan pembaca itu sendiri, dapat menstimulasi mental, mengurangi stres, menambah kosa kata dan memperluas pemikiran seseorang. Pada hakikatnya membaca adalah suatu proses yang bersifat fisik dan psikologis, dimana kita mengamati tulisan secara visual dan berpikir dalam mengolah informasi dalam bacaan tersebut.

Abstract

Giving stimulation in early childhood is very important for optimizing children's development, including fine motor skills. It is important to optimize fine motor development stimulation because it will affect the child's readiness to maximize the movements of the wrist and fingers. This also affects the coordination of the child's eye and hand functions so that he can process the information he receives at the same time. This study aims to determine the improvement of the child's eye and hand coordination after applying the method of thickening the dotted line to children aged 4 to 5 years in community service research through service learning at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Atfhal II Perumnas Makassar City with a total of 4 participants. children. In its application, it uses a dotted line patterned drawing paper instrument, an observation sheet, and an evaluation sheet for the implementation of the intervention. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of this research show that the application of thickening the dotted line is effective in improving children's hand and eye coordination in carrying out activities simultaneously. This study implies that the development of hand-eye coordination in stimulated children has different speeds.

Abstract

This study aims to develop handout learning media, determine the level of validity, practicality level, and the level of effectiveness of the media. By referring to the Research and Development (R&D) approach with a 4-D model, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The product developed is in the form of handout learning media based on local potential ecosystem materials that are tested through validity, practicality and effectiveness tests. The research subjects are 10th grade students of SMAN 14 Jeneponto 2020/2021. The research instrument used was a teacher response questionnaire and a student response questionnaire to obtain practicality data, and test questions to obtain the level of effectiveness. The results showed that the handout learning media based on local potential of ecosystem materials had a validity level of 3.72 by material experts and design experts, then the practicality level was in the very positive category with an average value of 3.53. The level of effectiveness as a test of student learning outcomes is categorized as effective because it reaches 100%. so that the local potential-based Handout learning media is feasible to use because it meets the valid, practical and effective criteria.
